Tell us of your likes and dislikes. Music? Tv/Movies? Books? What do you like to do in your spare time?: I LOVE books! I don't watch t.v. but I'm on the computer all the time. I'm very into dreams, divination, herbalism and magick.
Are you currently living what may be considered an alternative lifestyle? For example, are you a traveling artist, practicing a non-mainstream spirituality, or part of a BDFSM lifestyle?: I'm a traveling artist.
What does the older knowledge of legend, myth, lore, story, tale, wisdoms mean to you?: They are very important! That is how wisdom is passed from one generation to the next and only a fool would not listen.
Do you belong to any organizations; re-enactment based (i.e. households, tribes, clans), spiritual based (i.e. covens, orders, or other pagan groups) or other? If so which ones and where?: No, I used to be a card-carrying member of the SCA; East Kingdom, Shire of Barren Sands. I believe Barren Sands has been dissolved or will soon be. I've never really felt the need or want to belong to a spiritual group.
If not of the older life styles, how tolerant are you ?: I don't judge :)
Have you ever been to a Renaissance Faire or Medieval Fest? If so, which did you prefer? If not, which would you rather attend? Would you rather be a participant or spectator? Please relate to us your experience!: Been going to Pennsic since 2006. I hear Gulf Wars is a hoot, I'll have to make it out there sometime. I love to be a part of the re-enactment. I can't imagine going to a Ren Faire dressed in mundane clothing, just watching.
Do you have any artistry, crafting, and trade… what do you create, Please share your talents with us.: Besides drawing and painting, I've been experimenting with my own essential oil blends and herbs. I hope to be making my own salves soon!

Ok, tall order. I remember a kind of clubhouse. and enough porta-potties, but no real showers. But there always seemed to be someone headed into town, so you might want to check with some of them. there may have been showers, but since I was a vendor , I honestly didn't go too far. I was too worried about getting lost. I wasn't on meds then, so I didn't keep any type of schedule. If I get to go in the next few years, that will have to change big time. Being diabetic, I can't go all day with very little to eat at least not anymore. That was what I was thinking when I told you to pack enough for your duration, besides whatever fresh stuff you might luck out on. I seem to remember there were Lords and Ladies charged with checking in on the vendors to see if they needed ice, or eats. That I was told, was normal. Just make sure If you do go, and you have any medical situation - make sure you tell the chiregeon, or both of them if they are on shifts. No one wants to have a bad experience at Gulf Wars - Huzzah!!

You can always check your local shire. They usually have at least monthly meetings. You can always poll the group to see what advice I may have forgotten. If your nervous about that, offer to bring some homemade muffins or coffee, or coffee cake. Those usually break the ice real easy.

Heya WarMouse! I can highly recommend it -- or the Scratch & Dent, which I consider my personal first aid kit. I'm never at an event without it. (Not to push but I'm having a sale over the weekend, so now might be the time.)

I used to live in the Shire of Eisental -- not far from Barren Sands. I'm wondering if we know each other! I'm in Meridies these days and I can highly recommend Gulf Wars; it's a lot of fun.

Currently we have over 300 featured pictures of items for sale as well as some with other variations as well.

Currently the Month of Sept is taken to update the Dept. & those Artist Web Groups they represent. Also we are going through and seeing whom has been missed in welcoming upon the Hearth upon their profile comments. So please tolerate our working to bring the Hearth up-to-date. As well as ensuring each is welcomed and encouraged to enjoy that which is offered.
