Full moon ritual, I am going to do this tonight at coven by notreadytomakenice

Full Moon

supplies: Moon Candle~ White
Bowl
Water for 3/4 full
white liquid soap
2 white or silver candles
round mirror
white or blue cloth for altar

Place round mirror in center of altar with moon
candle behind it.
White or silver candles go on either side.

Opening the Circle

Sweep the circle in a clockwise direction,
imagining that the broom leaves a trail of
positive light and energy, saying:

Sweep, Sweep, sweep this place,
Cleanse it now, my sacred space

High Priestess picks up the water, High Priest
picks up the salt, holds them in the air and
they say together:

Creatures of Earth and Water
purify and cleanse this space
in honor of the Mother

The salt water is sprinkled around the
priestess, priest, alter and circle by coven
members.

The high priestess and high priest then light
the sage and say together:

Creatures of Fire and Air
purify and cleanse this space in
honor of the Father

The sage is smudged around the priestess,
priest, alter and circle by coven members.

The Priestess draws the circle in a clockwise
direction from North to North saying as she
goes:

"I conjure thee, O circle of
Power, that thou are a meeting place
of love, truth and joy, a shield
against wickedness and evil, a
boundary between worlds. I bless
thee and consecrate thee in the
names of the Goddess and the God"

Call the watchtowers beginning with the
North. Light the candle and say:

"Ye guardians of the watchtowers
of the east, I do summon, stir and
call you now to witness this rite and
guard this circle"

As you speak, draw the pentagram in the air
with the athame or your hand.

Do the same with the other directions, ending
up at the North.

When the Quarters have been called , the HPS says:

"The circle is cast and we are
between worlds, beyond the bounds
of time, where night and day, birth
and death, joy and sorrow, meet as
one."

Light 1 white candle, and invoke the Goddess
saying:
My Lady of silver magick.
I do build this circle...
A place sacred and apart...
In your honor.

Light 1 White candle and invoke the God
saying:
My Lord, consort of the Lady,
Come, join us in this circle
to Honor your Lady on this silvery
night.

Invocation:
Each direction lays a flower at their direction

East:
Celestial Winds, come dance and sing;
with you, airs of inspiration bring.
Full and rich, to my heart,
all your wisdom pray impart

South:
Cosmic Fires, come dance and sing;
with you, sparks of cleansing bring.
Full and rich, to my heart
all your strength pray impart

West:
Astral Waters, come dance and sing;
with you, waves of insight bring.
Full and Rich to my heart
all your creativity pray impart

North:

Stellar Earth, come dance and sing;
with you, soil of flowering bring.
Full and rich to my heart
all your rooting pray impart.

Center:
Shining Spirit, come dance and sing;
with you the magick of harmony bring
Full and rich to my heart
All your power pray impart

Ritual

Moon Charge

Each person takes a taper candle and light it,
hold it towards the sky and repeat
after HPS:

As she shines fully in the sky,
the Lady shines in my heat
and in my home

Light the Moon candle and say:
Mother Moon, welcome
Mother Moon, come!
your tides of power bring fulfillment
and your beams bear the realization of
change

All come to altar to see the bowl of water...look at the
surface as HP says:

Tides that sway and tides that flow
as above, so below
The Moon once small, now fully seen
in this bowl, my future bring.

As each gazes into the bowl, see what shapes,
movement or images appear in the light that dances
on the water.

(clockwise movement portends good things to come
in the next month. counter clockwise swirling
represents the need for caution.)

Drawing down the moon

Sit down and breathe deeply. Now is the time of
softness and quiet knowing.
See yourself in your minds eye, above you, a
smiling Moon in all her glory.
As you look upon the lunar sphere, you see the
light is alive. It jumps from the surface like a fire and
travels down to embrace you. The touch is cool, yet
warm.
It reaches beyond your skin and saturates every
pore, every cell, you are the Moonlight; you are the
shadow of a star. There is nobody to hold you back.
Let your spirit fly with the moon wherever it needs to
go

When everyone is finished, the High Priestess
then takes the goblet of wine, and with the
High Priest charges the wine by saying:

“As the cup is the female,
the athame is the male.
The Cup and Athame come together
symbolic of joining the Yin~Yang

The Athame is placed inside the Cup, Both
recite:

“Together they are One”
After the wine is charged, the Priestess takes
the wine and says:

In Honor of you, Mother Earth
I do pour this offering
And drink this toast

Pour a few drops on the ground and drink.
pass it to the high priest and he in turn passes
to other coven members beginning with
NORTH. The cup is returned to the Priestess.

Drumming and dancing and chanting
starts. Now is the time to charge any tools,
crystals, etc. Take the tool, herb, etc., in your
left hand, visualizing what you want that tool to
do.

Now is also the time to cast spells, as this is the
most powerful time.

After your work is done, sit in front of the alter
and meditate. GROUND. ( remind people to
do this)

The HPS says:

Mother Goddess, We thank you for
your presence here. Thank you for
our home, our Earth, thank you for
the things that you give us daily.

The HP says:
Great Father, thank you for being
with us to witness this rite Honoring
our Mother.

Returning to our original places in Circle the
Priest tells the members to :

Face outwards with hands raised up
send our energy up and out across
the Planet until it meets itself again.
Send healing energy to those in
need, or to a special person or place.
Watch the spiral go up and out, until
there is no more.

Proclaim the ritual to be ended, Thank the
Goddess and release the quarters. Close the
circle in a counterclockwise direction saying:

Our rite draws to its end
O Lovely and gracious Goddess
Be with us as we depart
This circle is open, but never
broken
Merry Meet, Merry Part,
Merry Meet Again

DON'T FORGET TO GROUND!!!!!

At the same time envisioning the circle open.
Snuff out all candles that you do not wish to
leave burning.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
