Amaterasu Ōmikami 天照大神 also known as Ōhiru-menomuchi-no-kami is one of the principal deities in Shinto cosmology. Her name, Amaterasu, is composed of the Japanese elements ama “heaven, sky” and terasu “to shine,” hence “shining over heaven.” In mythology, this is the name of the sun goddess who rules the heavens.

Amaterasu is the child of Izanagi 伊邪那岐命 and Izanami 伊邪那美命 (creator gods of Japanese mythology). According to Japanese Mythology, she was born from the left eye of Izanagi as he purified himself in a river and went on to become the ruler of Takamagahara.

It is within the Japanese Mythology, as found in the Kojiki, that we discover that Amaterasu also represents the Kundalini force in the alchemy of Shinto. First, we should consider, as already mentioned before, that Amatarasu was born from the left eye of Izanagi. Interestingly, the “eyes” in Traditional Chinese Medicine are connected with the liver. The liver functions to promote the free flow of chi, it dominates the tendons and opens into the eyes. It should also be noted that in Chinese Medicine the Liver is associated with the left side of the body, which represents the mother. I am sure that a few of our readers maybe wondering why we are using some references to sciences akin to Chinese culture to define Japanese Mythology.  Well, we must remember that for the most part, Taoism played a heavy role in the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the word Shinto, which comes from the Chinese shin tao, meaning “the way of kami.”  There are some very deep connections between Shinto and Taoist thought, as well as, some differences, but it seems very probably that these two schools of thought were founded by the same forces in primordial times. We will discuss this in a future article. However, for our discussion here, we can see that the “Sun” like the liver, governs to movement of “ki” energy, and since the eyes are a reflection of the health of the liver, Amaterasu’s birth from the eye of Izanagi, refers to the process of purification during initiation into the Way of the Kami. We can determine this because Izanagi purified himself by the river. In many African Traditions, as in the Way of the Orishas, which has many similarities to Shinto, the Initiate must perform certain rites by the river.

Amaterasu’s symbolic depiction as the sun goddess and the kundalini force of Shinto cosmology can be determined from Japanese myths concerning her. When her brother, the storm god Susano-o no Mikoto 須佐之男命, ravaged the earth, she retreated to a cave because he was so noisy. She later closed the cave with a large boulder. Her disappearance deprived the world of light and life, which resulted in demons ruling the earth. The other gods used everything in their power to lure her out, but to no avail. Finally Uzume (aka Ame no Uzume 天宇受売命 or 天鈿女命) succeeded in bringing her out by dancing in front of the cave. The laughter of the gods as they watched Uzume’s comical and obscene dances aroused Amaterasu’s curiosity. When she emerged from her cave a streak of light escaped (dawn). The goddess then saw her own brilliant reflection in a mirror which Uzume had hung in a nearby tree with beautiful jewels. When she drew closer for a better look, the gods grabbed her and pulled her out of the cave. She returned to the sky, and brought light back into the world. Later, she created and cultivated Japan’s rice fields.

In the above myth, Amaterasu is described as retreating into a cave due to the her brother ravaging the Earth and being noisy. Interestingly, Susano-o no Mikoto is a storm deity as well. Storms represent the emotions. Therefore, Amaterasu’s retreat into a cae because of her brother’s actions is a symbol of how our inner potential remains dormant due to the misuse of our emotional being. Ame no Uzume was able to create the laughter amongst the gods by her sensual dancing that lured Amaterasu out of the cave. The “sensual dancing” is evidently a metaphor decribing the use of the powers of arousal to initiate the Kundalini force to rise up from “the cave.”

When Amaterasu emerged from the cave, she saw her reflection in the mirror that was placed in a nearby tree with beautiful jewels. The “tree” is evidently a reference to the Qliphotic Tree of Life, which is the grid and points in the operative Kundalini-force. The mirror is a symbol of the heavenly forces and how the relate to the chthonic mind of the Initiate in the Way of the Kami. The fact that this is a reference to the Kundalini-force is also evidenced by the events that followed Amaterasu’s look into the mirror, where she is described as returning to the sky and creating Japan’s rice fields. When deities are said to descend from heaven to the Earth and then go into hades of the place of death and return to Heaven, the majority of these myths described the movement of the kundalini-force and its return to “Heaven,” or the Crown Chakra

Japan’s imperial family claims direct decent from her line. The  nation’s flag symbolizes the sun, and the name of the country (Nihon 日本) translates as “Land of the Rising Sun.” Although, Wikipedia makes the following remark:

“In 1946, Emperor Shōwa issued the Humanity Declaration. It was effectively a renunciation of the conception of akitsumikami (現御神?), divinity in human form, and claimed his relation to the people did not rely on such a mythological idea but on a historically developed family-like reliance. Many authors, such as John W. Dower and Herbert Bix, who dispute the former interpretation, consider that by choosing the word akitsumikami (現御神?) instead of arahitogami, Emperor Shōwa didn’t actually deny his divine descent from goddess Amaterasu Omikami.

It must however be noted, that according to Shinto myths, all Japanese people descend from the gods, not only the Emperor. On this topic, Emperor Shōwa expressed in December 1945 his point of view to his vice-grand chamberlain Michio Kinoshita: “It is permissible to say that the idea that the Japanese are descendants of the gods is a false conception; but it is absolutely impermissible to call chimerical the idea that the emperor is a descendant of the gods.”

Understanding Amaterasu Omikami in Shinto cosmology is essential in understanding  the principles of Shinto.

“The origin of Shinto comes from the time when it was not recognized as a religion and didn’t have some of the attributes that we usually ascribe to a religion,…It was more like a folk culture, with nature and ancestor worship, with a great number of deities who were in control of the forces of nature.”

Shinto is not a religion, but a cosmogony based on scientific laws that preceded the creation of this universe. Michael Bertiaux makes the following observation on page 410, in the Voudon Gnostic Workbook:

“This Shinto religion has been found to be uniquely suitable for the development into a magickal physics because of its natural and ideal structure, which hidden behing popular myths and fables reveals to us the physics of a mystical race from beyond our solar system, the Kami, or Beings of Light, who made our solar system….Shinto energies are the basic contents and sophiological wholes (“wisdom-energy powers”) of the Lemurian Current, while Vudu energies are the basic contents and wisdom-energy fields of the Atlantean Current.”

The subject of Lemuria’s existence in pre-Atlantean times is a very controversial subject, which is pursued more by the occultist than the modern scientist. This does not mean that Bertiaux’s observations are invalid, especially since modern science is not based on facts, but the logical process of identification made by the conscious mind, and does not recognize or make any attempts to understand the process of the subconscious, or primordial mind.. We find this to be the case, even when we observe many of the definitions given to the term “Shinto.”

Many people have given the simple definition of the term Shinto as meaning the “Way of the Gods,” However, this definition seems to resonate only with those who are engaged to the logical process of understanding spirituality. First, we must consider the fact that the term “Shinto” was not used by the Ancient Japanese people from remote times to describe their spiritual practices. The Encyclopedia of World Environmental History, Voumne 3, by Shepard Krech, states the following on page 1111:

“Many scholars now believe that Japanese actually borrowed the word “Shinto” from an eighth-century Chinese word for Taoism…In the eighth century, the Yamato state that Taoist priests travel to Japan from China, and in time the entire Japanese conception of empire and even the cult of emperors themselves took on a Taoist flavor. Nonetheless, early Japanese probably did not identify, isolate, and categorize Shinto as their “religion.” Rather, for a people who lived close to nature on a wild and mountainous archipelago, Shinto probably constituted everything they knew and sought to know about the natural world.”

What I find interesting about all of this is that it seems highly unlikely that a group, or a person would identify a different set of spiritual practices as being the same, if they were indeed different. For example, when the representatives from the Catholic Church came to America, they did not recognize the practices of the Native American as similar to their own. So then, why is it that the spiritual practices of the Ancient Japanese people was recognized by Taoist priests as the Tao? I am sure that one reason for this concerns itself with Taoist shamanistic origins as well. It seems that Shinto and Taoism emerge from the same root, and the Taoists could recognize the practices as their own, coupled with the purity in which the indigenous Japanese population had faithfully preserved. The term Shinto is derived form the written Chinese 神道. It is composed of two kanji, “shin” meaning divine, gods, or spirits, known as Kami, and “to” meaning path of study, the way, a derivative of the Chinese term tao. Therefore, the term Shinto is define as the “Way of the Kami.” Interestingly, the term Kami is also composed of two kanji, ka meaning fire and mi meaning water. In Taoist thought water is symbolic of the yin and fire the symbol for yang. Here we find that the term Shinto is more properly translated the Way of Fire and Water, or the Way of Yin and Yang.

Another “logical” misconception made by modern scholars, is that the term Kami and its meaning are difficult to understand. Maybe this is true for those who are foreign to Japanese culture and spirituality. The Kami represent the measurement ka (fire, kundalini-energy) in relation to the surrounding and subtle mi (water, subtle ki, or life-force energies.) The ratio of ka to mi is used in Shinto cosmogony to determine the influence that an emanating force has on its environment. We will discuss various aspects of the Kami in a future article.
Sumeria is described as the cradle of civilization and the civilization where it all began. Yet everyone must ask themselves is this really true? Let us first look at how the modern world discovered the Sumerian Civilization..

Although there is much that can be found about Sumeria today, the discovery of this civilization is a recent one. The first major excavations leading to the discovery of Sumeria were conducted (1842-1854) at Assyrian sites such as Nineveh, Dur Shamukin, and Calah by the French archaeologists Paul Emile Botta and Victor Place; the British archaeologists Sir Austin Henry Layard and Sir Henry C. Rawlinson and the Irish clergyman Edward Hincks made a study of the inscriptions, however, and discovered that some were in a non-Semitic language. In 1869 the French archaeologist, Julius Oppert suggested that the name Sumerian, from the royal title King of Sumer and Akkad, appearing in many inscriptions, be applied to the language.

Samuel Noah Kramer the infamous Sumerianologist, who was involved in the process of translating numerous Sumerian texts, often found many stories that were similar to Biblical mythologies. It was this principle that fueled the research into Ancient Mesopotamia, especially in regards to the Gilgamesh Epics, for the first time the modern world assumed that it had found references to support the Biblical flood account in the Legend of Utnapishtim.

How Sumeria was discovered in the modern world weighs heavily into our discussion about Sumeria as the first civilization on Earth. First, it is very important for the occultist to understand that most of the research and excavation that have been done are by followers of the three main Abrahamic faiths namely, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is interesting to note that on a purely religious level, all adherents to these three different religions, religiously believe that the origin of man is in Ancient Mesopotamia. So I find it ironic that the same archaeologists who happen to be adherents to either one of these three religions have NOT presented anything different from what their scriptural fantasies have theorized. I must also remind the reader that during the time of the excavations that lead to the discovery of Sumeria, the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic Faiths were strongly followed by those that professed them, especially in Europe and America. What this boils down to is that what these archaeologists have discovered in the past century, is in support of Western religious thought. Therefore, the Initiate into the Greater Mysteries must do his own research with the help of his/her guides to piece together the history of the world. This is why you will notice how most discoveries will NOT go beyond the year 5,000 BCE, even though scientist have discovered human fossils dating tens of thousands of years ago in Africa. Discoveries such as this is swept underneath the rug since they conflict, or would upset the layman’s religious dedication, which in turn would affect their political dedication, and then cause a spirit of unrest. So while it is acknowledged that there are human fossils in Africa that are older that any Sumerian writing, it is just swept underneath the rug so that Biblical theories stay in tact. What is also interesting is that the Yoruba Pantheon is identical to the Sumerian, even its creation story. If Sumerian Reconstructionists really want to re-piece the Sumerian Tradition, they must study the Yoruban system of spirituality, as well as , other indigenous system. This leads us to the discovery that the Shinto spiritual system is older than the Babylonian.

H.P. Lovecraft in his story The Call of Cthulhu describes a godlike being called Cthulhu who dwells in the Sunken City of R’lyeh that is located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The energies in the Urilla Text we are told by Simon are like Lovecraft’s R’lyeh Text. This may explain why the initiates who performed the Urilla Text working started to be drawn to forms of spirituality that were accustomed to people living in the area of the Pacific Ocean. Yet there is another point to make here in view of our topic, while Lovecraft’s location of the R’lyeh City may have been exaggerated, he was correct in identifying a Sunken City that lies in the Pacific Ocean.

National Geographic News reported in September 2007 pyramid structures lying just below the waters of Japan at Yonaguni Jima. The condition of this ancient city is said to have been caused by an earthquake over 2, 000 years ago. However, many researchers in the field claim that this “Sunken City” is anywhere from five to ten thousand years old. This presents ”>quite a problem for our Jewish, Christian, and Islamic scholars who can’t get past their religious beliefs and show the truth about their archaeological discoveries. Here’s the problem: If Sumeria is the first civilization on the face of this Earth and began only 5,000 years ago; How is it then that another civilization, found in Japan, was built at the same time Sumeria civilization began? Wouldn’t common sense dictate that it would take a few centuries to move from Sumeria to the region of Japan?

Earlier in our discussion we spoke about how archaeologists discovered another civilization that predated Babylon, Sumeria. See what I didn’t mention then was that these archaeologists knew about Babylon and were seeking to find further evidence of the Bible’s validity, yet the Bible doesn’t mention the Sumerians, but it does mention the ‘Sons of God’ taking the Daughters of Men.” So the idea of a “black-headed people” existing prior to Babylon was unknown to Western people. It was actually Samuel Noah Kramer who explored the Sumerian histories even further and thanks to him, we have the volumes of work that we do today. If it were up to the Christian and Islamic archaeologists, they would have just let the matter sit and sweep everything underneath the rug, which is actually what they did, until Kramer pursued the efforts to translate the text, since his beliefs were more liberal than his religious upbringing. Yet deceit in the discovery of Japan’s antiquity is also being swept under the rug. Leader of the stupidity pack is Robert Schoch who claims that the structures found off of Japan’s Coast are not man-made but natural. japaneseatlantis6japanese atlantisjapaneseatlantis3japaneseatlantis4

With just one look at these photos, one can easily see that Doctor Schoch blew it, but once again this is what happens when you ask a ”Christian” mind to check ancient artifacts. Columbus didn’t discover America, the Native Americans did, so why doesn’t this Christian Nation honor their history of coming to America? We teach our children that Gutenburg invented the printing press although China had used advance technologies for printing centuries before Gutenberg ever lived. Let’s face it Christian and Islamic Nations have a problem with accepting historical fact that honour indigenous people, or differ from their religious belief. Interestingly, Samuel Noah Kramer was chased out of the Arab World due to what he discovered in the Sumerian writings and how it conflicted with Islamic beliefs. Samuel Noah Kramer is who the fictional character Indiana Jones is based on.

Pre-Sumerian Civilization

Samuel Noah Kramer asserts that the Sumerian people, were a Nomadic people who moved about. Where they came from is not really known-yet. However, many anthropologist are able to trace some of their roots to the Tamil people due to similarities in language. Yet this shows that the Sumerians probably traveled westwards after establishing colonies in China, India, and etc, after leaving a collapsed civilization that was in the Pacific Ocean. Interestingly, Japan holds that its country was founded by the Anu People. This reinforces some of the origins of true Japanese history. It is clear that Japan’s history exceeds its written history by thousands of years. The written history of Japan at about 400 BC, but this is not completely accurate either. It seems that there were some political struggles of different ethnic peoples within “prehistoric” Japan. We know this to be the case because pottery has been unearthed from the Joman Period which is dated about 14,000 years old. Thats about 10,000 years older than when archaeologists say the Sumerian Civilization started. Japan may have been a safe haven for persecuted ”>religious groups such as the Taoists, and different forms of African divination, as well as, Buddhism. Although, Buddhism originated in India and was brought to China and then Japan.there are certain aspects of Buddhism and Taoism that may have originated in China, but are only preserved in Japan, such as the Tea Ceremony. It is in consideration of all these facts that led me to the discovery that the Shinto Religion is one of the oldest in the world if not the oldest. Written history may differ, but it does stand to reason that since there was a culture that existed in Japan that is thousands of years older than the Mesopotamian culture, it must also be a correct assumption that this same culture had a system of spirituality, which is apparently Shinto. This is why there is no accredited founder of the Shinto Religion, or a said Shinto scripture. The origin of this religion and its beginning were evidently wiped out during various stages of religious persecution, or held in secret among the people indigenous to Japan. However, there is one more cause that plays a vital role in our identification of Shintoism as the oldest religion in the world and that is a comparative analysis of the Shinto Kami with the Sumerian and Babylonian deities.

It is widely known that in prehistoric times Mother-Son worship flourished throughout the ancient world. Major deities were honored as feminine and the minor deities were depicted as male. This is the most ancient concept of religious worship. Keeping this in mind we can appreciate that the Shinto religion is the purest form of prehistoric religion because Amaterasu Omikami is one of the very few solar deities that is represented as a goddess. This is a very important aspect that occultist should be aware of. In prehistoric times, when the major deities were venerated as women, they were also honored as mothers. This is very important to remember. The founders of the planet Earth recognized that the planets are nourished by the Sun’s energy in the same way a baby is nourished by its mother’s milk. The rotation of the planets around the Sun is simulated even among communal insects where the “queen” is the life-giver of all that is living. The Sun is also the provider of life-giving energy that supports all life on Earth. In earlier posts we have discussed that Ishtar is a planetary form of Tiamat. Please review our article 2012 and The Simon Necronomicon. It is here that we also discovered that the word Ishtar finds its origin in the word star. This also reveals to us that during the era of Mother-Sun worship, stars, or suns, were deified as feminine. This is explained in the Babylonian Epic of Creation, also known as the Enuma Elish. During the next part of our discussion we will be using the Simon Necronomicon’s version of this creation epic. For more information please review our article The Simon necronomicon\’s Version of the Enuma Elish.

Before we begin, I must state that the Enuma Elish can be interpreted in many ways, on an astrological level, changes in spiritual conciousness amongst mankind, and etc.

“When on High the Heavens had not been named, the Earth had not been named, and Naught existed but the Seas of Absu, The Ancient One, And MUMMU Tiamat, the Ancient One..”

It is interesting that ABSU has been defined as the fresh waters and Tiamat as the salt waters. The ancient people may have looked upon Tiamat as the “salt waters” because it represented the solar aspect while life-giving is also chaotic, and stars cannot be lived on with fleshly bodies. Absu, would then represent the fresh waters or absorbing matter upon which life could grow. In this aspect we can also not that Tiamat would correspond to the Shinto Creator Goddess SU, the source of all things. There is another interesting passage that appears in the Magan Text.

If we look though the first section of the Magan Text we discover that Tiamat is described as the “Queen of the Ghouls.” This further emphasizes Tiamat as a fiery solar force. How so? The term \”ghoul\” is Arabic in origin. For those of you who are familiar with the Batman movies, Raj Al Ghul, would fit the description of a “ghoul” sometimes known as the Jinn. The Jinn are described as a class of living beings that exist in a parallel world that predates that of mankind. They have superhuman power and can appear in various form sometimes resembling snakes, vultures, or tall black men in white garb. it is believed by Muslims that the Jinn were created by Allah from ’smokeless fire.’ They are also known as the fiery ones. Keeping this all in mind, if Tiamat is described as the “Queen of the Ghouls” in the Magan Text, then it can also be said that she is the “Queen of the fiery Ones.” This means that Tiamat is a fiery source, or a star, Ishtar. Evidently the Race of Watchers are the Jinn, also known to modern man as the Gate-Walker with a fully developed astral or starry body.

Now if it is believed that our Sun was once a part of the Big Dipper constellation, as mentioned in Gates of the Necronomicon, then Marduk throwing Tiamat into the abyss takes on a new meaning. Yet it would also mean that when Tiamat rises to the stars the world will be one, or consumed by fire. this is something that modern science is now learning.

It is amazing that we have learned a new development in the Necronomicon Tradition and have confirmed some of Lovecraft’s fiction as reality. Ishtar (Venus) is the only planet that rotates clockwise but orbits the Sun counterclockwise. Gate-Walkers follow the same practice by Walking around the Gate of Initiation clockwise and Walking through the Zodiac, or Gate by Gate, in a pattern that is reverse the direction to that of the Sun. Therefore, we are all Initiated under the banner of Ishtar/Inanna, and by such we are able to draw from the Sun, our Mother what mankind hasn’t.

The Mother-Son worship in preserved in the Shinto Religion. It appears that the Sumerians were also worshippers of the Great Mother Tiamat, as the Egyptians were when Sehkmet was the Sun Goddess. What I find interesting is that during the Babylonian Period the Sun became associated with Male deities and the Catholic Church has infiltrated every country, that has hosted this sort of religious philosophy with the exception of China. The Biblical book of Revelation tell its adherents to get out of Babylon the Great! This is a reminder to the children of the Sun Goddess not engage in Solar-Phallic worship. All the religions that descended from Babylon have made this association. The religions that associate the Sun with the Goddess predate Babylon, which proves that the Shinto Religion and the culture that it promotes is older than Mesopotamia. Amazingly, we find evidence of this in the Biblical book of Revelation where it speaks about Amaterasu.

Amaterasu and the Book of Revelation

I will write another essay about the Godddess, however, for our current discussion there is one key element mentioned in Wikipedia that we should take note of:

“Most of her myths revolve around an incident where the goddess traps herself in a cave because of her brother’s actions. For a while, everything among the three revered gods was peaceful and all of the world ran smoothly. One day, Susanoo-no-Mikoto, in a drunken rampage, trampled Amaterasu Omikami’s rice fields, filled all of her irrigation ditches and threw excrement into her palace and her shrines. The Omikami asked her brother to stop but he ignored her and even went so far as to throw the corpse of a skinned horse at her hand-maidens who were weaving at the time. The women were killed by the splintered wood from the looms piercing their bodies (in the Kojiki it was their reproductive organs that were pierced[1]).

Amaterasu Omikami was greatly angered and in protest she shut herself in the Heavenly Cave and sealed it shut with a giant rock. As a result, the world was consumed with darkness. Without her, everything began to wither and die. Countless Kami gathered in front of her cave and devised a way to lure her out. They all sat around the cave and set up a mirror across from the entrance. Ame-no-Uzume, the voluptuous goddess of merriment turned over a wash-tub and began a sensual dance, tapping the beat on the tub. She exposed her breasts and lifted her skirts as she danced. All of the gods made a great noise of yelling and cheering and laughing. Amaterasu peeked out to see what the noise was about. She asked the nearest god what was going on and he replied that there was a new goddess. When Amaterasu asked where she was, he pointed to the mirror.

The Omikami had never seen herself before and when she caught her reflection, she stared at the radiance of her own form. She was so surprised she said “omo-shiroi”, which means both “white face”, which the Omikami had, and “fascinating”. When she was out of the way, Tajikara-O shut the rock behind her. Having lured her out of the cave, the gods convinced her to go back into the Celestial Plain and all life began to grow again and become strong in her light. Once back in the Celestial Plain, she made sure that she was ready for her brother’s harsh actions again by having a bow and quiver at her side.”

This myth about the Goddess Amaterasu has many meanings. I am of the interpretation that it probably represents humanity’s resurgence from the Ice Age. It also represents the Initiate’s evolution and resurgence from the abyss and being reborn as a “npble one,” or a “white face,” representing the glowing light of the kundalini-force radiating from a person’s aura, which is the true definition of the term aryan, or ara. Amaterasu seems to fit the description of the resurrected goddess, the menstruating goddess Lamashtu before her demonization by the Babylonians.

We can gather that some of these elements concerned themselves with tantra since the Kojiki mentions that due to Susanoo-no-Mikoto actions, women were killed and their reproductive organs were pierced. This illustrates that this myth concerns itself with the sexual alchemy of the Kundalini-force. Further proof of this can be found in the myth itself, as it explains how Amaterasu was lured out of hibernation by a voluptuous goddess that exposed her breasts. It wasn’t until Amaterasu saw herself in the mirror (subconscious mind) that she realized her own divinity. Once again we see how a deity, like Ishtar, ventures into the Underworld and is anointed with renewed power, strength, and wisdom. The Biblical book of Revelation describes on the decent of Amaterasu. Notice what is mentioned in Revelation Chapter:

“1:And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3: And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4: And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5: And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7: And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8: And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9: And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10: And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12: Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13: And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14: And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15: And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16: And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17: And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

In conclusion I would like to quote the words that appear in the Magan Text, as found in the Simon Necronomicon.

“The verses here that follow come from the secret texts of a cult which is all that is left of the Old Path that existed before Babylon was built..”

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
