Although September is now the ninth month of the Gregorian (or New Style) calendar, it was once the seventh month of the early Roman calendar.
The month September retains its own original name; this month Domitian had usurped with the appellation Germanicus and October with his own name Domitianus. But when it was decreed that the unpropitious word [Domitianus] be erased from every bronze or stone, the months too were freed from the usurpation of a tyrannical apellation.
The waning-gibbous moon is an indication that it is gradually decreasing, a reference to the visible face of the moon during the period after it has become full. As with the waxing-gibbous moon, the waning gibbous refers to the moon being over half full, but not completely dark. The waning moon is determined by holding up your left hand and looking at the moon between the left hand index finger and thumb and noting how the crescent moon follows the curve of your finger and thumb; so, this phase of the moon could be considered the "left-hand" moon phase.
Our Sunday was originally sunnandaeg (sun’s day) for the Anglo Saxons. It’s Roman name, dies solis, “sun’s day”, is a name thought to have survived from the ancient worship of the sun.

Virgo is an Earth sign, with a need for solid ground and form. Ruled by shape-shifting Mercury, Virgo works hard to stability. This sign analyzes and organizes life; the goal is to build a firm foundation. A good educational background is important to the Virgo. Mutable' motivation surfaces in the form of helping, teamwork and cooperation. Humbleness and the ability to work behind the scenes, without complaining, often cause Virgos to miss more opportunities than they should. A dose of self-confidence helps Virgo promote what he or she has to offer. Virgo gets stuck if he or she expresses too much earthy energy. He or she may try too hard. When frustrated, Virgo can get trapped in that notorious perfectionism. Because of the desire for security, Virgo may worry constantly about work: "What if they don't need me anymore?" "What if I make a mistake?" Balance comes with trusting that he or she will be OK and that imperfection is only human!

Character Reference Of The Vine Sign
People Born Under This Sign Have A Sensual Nature With Emotions That Always Run At A High Level, Yet They Can Appear Remarkably Cool In The Face Of Opposition. They Are The Instinctive Organizers Of Life, Always Ahead Of The Field When It Comes To Contingency Plans, And It Is A Great Mistake To Underestimate Vine Characters. For People Born In The First Two Weeks, Their Emotions And Energies Are More Openly Expressed. Their Weak Points Are Related To The Inherent Imbalance Of The Sign, An Inability To Come To Terms With Certain Aspects Of Their Lives. Their Positive Traits Are Shown With Their Natural Enthusiasm And Support Of Partners. For People Born During The Last Two Weeks Under The Waning Aspect Of The Full Moon, This Imbalance Is Corrected At The Time Of The Autumnal Equinox On September 23rd And They Have The Ability To Forgive With True Compassion. They Are, However, Rather More Difficult To Comprehend And They Are Prone To Over- Indulge Their Sensuous Nature. Generally Speaking, People Born Under This Sign Can Help To Create Harmony And Stability, But They Can Also Become Some- What Parasitical Or Totally Dependant On The Good Nature Of Others.
Vines traditionally carry fruit, the most famous of which is the grape, used to make wine, that magical elixir that's known for its ability to dissolve the boundaries between us, allow us to mingle more easily, and relax with others. You, then, are a born socialize, with keen abilities to restore balance to unhappy or unfair situations. Your instinct makes you amazingly perceptive with regard to the motives of others, and your charm is irresistible. Trust this instinct, and form relationships that will last. Don't' be afraid of spending time alone occasionally - sometimes our own company is the best.
The Celtic meaning of the vine in druid lore is ripe with symbolism such as (but not limited to):
Regeneration
Continuation
Opportunity
Connection
Expansion
Fertility
Bounty
The druids classified anything with a woody stalk as a tree, and so therefore it is listed vines among the sacred Ogham ranks. Further, grapevines typically come to mind when discussing vines, but it was more likely the blackberry vines that captured the hearts of the ancient Celts.
In the Druid perspective, the vine earned its symbolism from its growth patterns. They recognized the vine grows opportunistically, and would dig in wherever feasible in order to gain a strong foothold to assure its own growth.
This is a powerful metaphor of “going with the flow” or “growing where you are planted.” In other words, it is a message that when we observe the best of our environment/situation and stay in a relaxed, flowing state of mind, will likely gain our highest advantage.
Nevertheless, in spite of the philosophical urgings to take things as they may come, the thorns of these vines are symbolic of defending or protecting ourselves when necessary.
The vine is a theme repeated over and over in Celtic art. Interconnections and winding vines are commonly seen on tapestries, writings, knot work and carvings. This indicates the symbolism of connection, eternity, and diversity (branching and expanding in new directions).
Lastly, the ever-watchful Celts also recognized the vine’s predominant growth formation is in the shape of a spiral. This has long been considered a sacred symbol for:
Consciousness
Development
Renewal
Growth
Vine signs are born within the autumnal equinox, which makes your personality changeable and unpredictable. You can be full of contradictions, and are often indecisive. But this is because you can see both sides of the story, and empathize with each equally. It is hard for you to pick sides because you can see the good points on each end. There are, however, areas in your life that you are quite sure about. These include the finer things of life like food, wine, music, and art. You have very distinctive taste, and are a connoisseur of refinement. Luxury agrees with you, and under good conditions you have a Midas touch for turning drab into dramatic beauty. You are charming, elegant, and maintain a level of class that wins you esteem from a large fan base. Indeed, you often find yourself in public places where others can admire your classic style and poise. Vine signs pair well with Willow and Hazel signs

Mut is one of the most ancient divinities of the Egyptian pantheon. The epic of the ancient gods also includes the very popular goddess Isis, a saviour mother. Besides a woman in her role of both sister and wife, we find another mother, Mut, who has withdrawn into the mythical and historical scene while taking with her unspeakable words adn a fundamental violence. For this mother who is repressed by the capricious genealogy of the gods, heroes and men, life and death go hand in hand. The waters of the nile and the burning sand of the Nubian desert are part and symbolic of this mother body.
In the presence og this fearsome goddess, man is born with the feeling that his life must be paid for by guilt in terms of the mystical parallel between the life of the human and the death of the divine.
Thus, those born under the sign of Mut are secretive beings inclined to melancholy. Full of irony, frustrated in seduction because of their shyness, they nevertheless have formidable inner riches because they know how to go directly to the point in all their human relationships. Their wisdom is obvious, their hopes inspiring. What they search for most is the goodwill and protection of an authoritative father figure.
Those who fall under the sign of Mout are ironic, have tremendous internal wealth, know how to rapidly connect with others, and look for paternal authority.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.
Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.
As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.
We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.
Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
