About Us

Dear Customer,

Thank you for expressing your interest in our products. We are Brute Force Studios - purveyors of quality corsetry for all occasions. For over twenty years we have been perfecting our craft to provide our customers with the absolute best corsets available. Our products are handmade in the United States, and are made of the highest quality materials available to us. All of our corsets are made using not two, but FOUR layers of fabric surrounding sturdy yet comfortable spring steel boning and two-inch wide steel busks.

Some current satisfied customers include Patricia Tallman, actress (appeared in Babylon V, Army of Darkness, Night of the Living Dead 'remake' and other films) and former "Bond Girl" Virginia Hey, actress (appeared in Farscape, Mad Max). Our designs have been featured on MTV.

As the owners of Brute Force Studios, we guarantee the highest standards in quality and the best fit possible. For special orders, if your corset does not fit upon receiving it, we will custom create your corset until you are satisfied. We guarantee our fine products against defect for six full months from the date of purchase.

It is true you can buy a cheaper corset somewhere else… but then, you would have to WEAR it.

Sincerely,

Thomas Willeford

Our Warranty

All of our fabric and garment leather corsets are under warranty from manufacturer's defects for six months (180 days) from date of receipt of product. If you find any defect, please return product for replacement or repair.

All of our "hard leather" products come with a lifetime warranty covering tearing of the leather, eyelets, rivets and stitching. Scratches on the finish are not covered under this warranty.

No other warranties are expressed or implied and may be subject to your local laws. Void where prohibited.

Our Guarantee

We want you to be happy! Our corsets are made from the finest materials to our own very high standards. If you are unsatisfied with the fit or finish of your purchase, send it back immediately (within ten days of receipt of product), before you wear it out anywhere, and yes we do know that you must "wear" it to try it on. We will make any necessary adjustments. We will keep working with you until you are satisfied.

Unfortunately we can not give refunds on Corsetry. This is to keep people from (in the rare case but, it has happened.) trying to "rent" a corset for one event then claiming "dissatisfaction". In Pennsylvania (where we make them) corsets are "underwear" regardless of where you wear them, and therefore not returnable.

Greetings, so we just send in our measurements and the type of corset we want or am I getting ahead of myself by not looking in the above discussions? I will look and see if you have some to pick from before I do get ahead of myself lol.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
