Lunar Blend Incense
:
Ingredients:
A base of white sandalwood powder
Orris root and myrrh in equal parts
Oil of jasmine and jasmine flowers
Oil of lotus and synthetic ambergris
A small pinch of refined camphor
Poppy and cucumber seeds

Blend together sandalwood, myrrh, and orris root, and crush them together
into a powder.

True refined camphor is hard to come by, but if you should have some
available, add a pinch to the powdered base. Also add at this time the poppy
and/or dried cucumber seeds. Put this mixture aside in an air-tight jar.

Next, blend the jasmine, ambergris and lotus oils together in equal parts.
Coat the dried jasmine flowers with the blended oil and set them aside in an
air-tight jar.

Let these sit until the next full moon. On the evening of the full moon, mix
together (in a silver or crystal bowl if possible) the oil-soaked flowers
and the powder base with your hands, meditating as you mix on the beauty and
wisdom of Mother Moon. Ask her to bless this incense with Her magick.

As the Wolf Moon approaches

by TheGingerman

My friends, as the Wolf Moon approaches us in our circle, I wanted to take the time to ask Creator to strengthen our circle and help us face our weaknesses in this coming time.
I am thankful for all here, for your kindness, your acceptance, your inspiration. I have learned much here, both about myself and this path.
I am so fortunate to have met so many here, I can't name you all...

@peacelilli: You have allowed me the space and time to grow here, and you and Turtle_Woman have honored me by asking me to moderate. It is a responsibility I am humbled by.

@Turtle_Woman: My dear sister, you have taught both me and this circle, for that we thank you. You believe passionately and love honestly and deeply, no one could be more protective of this circle or its members. On a personal note, you are an inspiration in your strength in the face of danger, may I learn such courage!

@Red_Bull: There is nothing I can say that you do not know. You face down all, with strength and humility. You have been a brother to me on this path, which I am honored to share with a true Warrior!

@WolfDuchessOggy: My little cousin...your humor and interest and nimble mind set you apart...you, my dear, are Indianer than I!

@CherokeeWolf: A;ways kind and sharp witted, always strong in your defense of our circle and humanity. Thank you, my brother. Let your drum sing in the ear of Grandfather, that he may know the heart of this group!

@SirMark: Your humor, frybread appitite, and gentle musings have shown us all that we need to be humble and to think. Thought has more value than a thousand words! Thank you for always being there for this group.

@firebirdseeking: You have such a strong connection, that you would join us here, that you pour your heart into everything you say and do. Creator has blessed us all to lead you to us. We are members of the same Nation. Shalom!
@MTCEll, Synonym, sweet_surrender, and His_chii: I hope this coming year to get to know you all, whenever we need an infusion of new ideas you folks are there! Thank You!

Left off the list? I mean no disrespect! I include all who ever stopped in this circle both before and after I joined in my prayers with Creator...I have been blessed with so many true brothers and sisters here! I ask that all will have enough in the coming moons that they will be able to share with others. I ask that we be given the wisdom so many of our members exhibit. I give thanks I have found a home.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
