Wolf Moon This full Moon appeared when wolves howled in hunger outside the villages. It is also known as the Old Moon. To some Native American tribes, this was the Snow Moon, but most applied that name to the next full Moon, in February... Prime Monday, 5 January 2015, 05:53:18 am

Wolf Moon Ritual
Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon.
Ritual items needed:
Frankincense, myrrh, or lilac incense
White candle for guardians
Wand
Besom, blessed water, censor, and athame for casting circle.
Sweep circle with besom saying:
I sweep this circle clean and bright,
For protection shall fill this ring tonight.
Walk circle with blessed water saying:
By water and salt,
This circle made pure.
Reinforce that our faith in the Goddess,
Shall always endure.
Walk circle with censor saying:
By fire and air,
This circle we clean.
So that our Spirit Guardians,
Can protect us from the unseen.
Call the quarters.
East Air of life, winds of power,
Encircling sheer energy towers.
By transformations billowing blow,
Magick from our hearts doth flow.
We beckon ye, Winds of the East,
Come within our circle with peace,
Lend thy protection and light.
Unto us on this Ritual night.
So shall it be.
South fires burn and candles flame,
By wisdoms of old, we now proclaim.
Sparks of light dancing in the night,
We seek thy truth within this rite.
We beckon ye, Winds of the South,
We call ye here by words of mouth,
Lend thy protection and thy light.
Unto us on this Ritual night.
So shall it be.
Water of life, oceans and seas,
Westward energies that set us free.
Nothing held beyond our bound,
Like liquid colors shrilling round.
We beckon ye, Winds of the West,
We call thee awaken from thy rest,
Lend thy protection and thy light.
Unto us on this Ritual night.
So shall it be.
North winds calmed by Mother Earth,
Her powers of life assure our rebirth.
Encircling protection eliminates all fear,
As She moves ‘round, in loving care,
We beckon ye, Winds of the North,
To give us shelter we call thee forth,
Lend thy protection and thy light.
Unto us on this Ritual night.
So shall it be.
Charge to the Goddess.
Listen to the words of the Great Goddess, who in ancient times was named, Hecate, Gaia, Morrgian, Corn Mother, Bast, Luna, Isis, Athena, and many names known and unknow.
Whenever you have need of My aid, assemble in a scared place, especially on the Full Moon. Know that My laws and love shall make you free, for no man can prevent your worship of Me in your mind and heart. Listen well when you come into My presence, and I shall teach you of deep mysteries, ancient and powerful. I am the Mother of all things, the Creatress who made you out of My love, and the One who endures through all time.
I am the One who is the beauty of the Earth, the green of growing things. I am the White Moon whose light is full among the stars. From Me all things are born, to Me all things in their season, return. Let my joyous worship be in your hearts, for all acts of love are my rituals. You see in me the love of humans to all my creations. Always I stand beside you, whispering soft words of wisdom and guidance.
All seekers of the mysteries must come to Me, for I am the True Source, the Keeper of the Cauldron. All who seek to know Me, know this. All your seeking and yearning will avail you nothing, unless you know the mystery: for if what you seek you find not within, you will never find it with out. For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I will gather you to My breast at the end of your earthly existence.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.
Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.
As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.
We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.
Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
