Make a Witch Ball Spell

Years ago Witch balls hung in the windows of many homes.

These were glass balls similar to the gazing balls you see today in many gardens.

The purpose of these balls was to repel the evil eye.

Here’s how you can make your own.

Purchase clear glass or plastic Christmas ornaments from a craft store, along with bottles of liquid gold and silver metallic craft paints.

You can also purchase other colors of paint—it’s up to you.

Next, remove the wire loop at the top of the ornament.

Squeeze small amounts of the paint on to the ornament, in pleasing combinations of colors.

Swirl the ornament around, so the paints blend and coat the interior of the ornament. Leave it to dry overnight.

On the next day, replace the wire loops at the top of the ornament and charge it with your magical intent.

Hang it with a pretty cord in your window or on a holiday tree.

The pattern made by the paints will trap and hold any negative energy.

~ James Kambos

Lastly visualize protective energy filling the ball and recite with intent:

"Symbol of the moon, symbol of the lady divine, Reject all negativity, defend this home (car, etc.), me and mine!"

Witch balls have been around for centuries, but is nearly impossible (and very
costly) to buy one. These silvery balls were once common fixtures in windows,
particularly in England, where they were said to repel evil thoughts and curses.
Most Pagans don’t feel they can spend several hundred dollars to purchase such a
ball, even if they could find one, but there is no reason you can’t make one.
You will need a clear glass ball or Yule ornament with an opening in one end. If
the glass ball has some kind of design, choose one you like or one you can
change with further decoration. You will also need a bottle of silver paint
found in hobby stores, a few drops of frankincense or patchouli oil, a spool of
red thread, and a pair of scissors.
Cover you working space with newspaper to protect against spills. Take the metal
cap off the ornament. Carefully pour a little of the silver paint inside the
ball and swish it around until the inside is completely covered with the silver.
Set it aside to dry.
When the paint is totally dry, cut the red thread into three inch-lengths.
Carefully poke this thread into the open end of the ball. Continue cutting and
putting the thread into the ball until the ball is nearly full. Put in a few
drops of oil. Then put the end back on the ornament. If it has no end, seal it
with candle wax.
When you hang the protection ball, chant:
Symbol of the Moon, symbol of the Lady divine,
Reject all negativity, defend this home (car), me and mine.
This protection ball can be hung in the window of your home or in your car. Any
negative thoughts or ill-wishes directed against you are reflected back to the
sender. You can also decorate the outside with appropriate designs. You can put
them onto wreaths or make them part of a dried flower arrangement. Programmed
for protection, these little Witch balls do a very good job.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
