Linking your favorite traveling artists across the globe
It seems I was not cut out for being a merchant. I pushed it as far as I could for the love of my art and the people I meet and call friends. My best friend, who is also my roommate and business partner, has been dealing with cancer and is now going through chemo. My dog needs to go to a vet and get what looks like a small punching bag cut off of her chest. I am always behind on bills and house payments. I can't keep supplies or propane in stock to make new projects let alone finish some of my old projects. I can't even afford to get to let alone into the events that would actually make me money.
So although I still haven't shown people what I can do, I am a little nervous at changing professions at 42 and after 14 years of being self employed...I am going to get my hair cut and and go job hunting!
This way I can save my house, pay back those who have loaned me money to keep going and start making the high end art pieces I have been wanting to since starting the business.
Of course I will still be taking custom orders and making the stuff I can until I find that new line of work. After that I will make things as I can and have time to.
Thank You All for 14 years of doing what I love! I wish everybody could do that some time in their life.
