A message from Wade C. to all members of You Want A WHAT? on Traveling within the World!

seeking some boots and arms cuffs (bracers)
also some other things

Well back from a show where we have made many things and find this call to the group message.

First lets get the details what type of boots does this person want? We know several hand makers and a few importers of mass items. But with out knowing what type or style they would want we are lost to answer this.

Again the general "arms cuffs (bracers) " well hove you looked int he Leather & Link Featured items and pictures to see what we currently have at hand of these items? Or comments upon them? Or looked in the Past Creations Group to see if it holds any ones you would like to be re made?

What would be the 'other things"? that is a two word category that is unknown yet so open to possibilities that it needs to be detailed into what those other items are.

So what style colors types of designs or things should be typed and told about before one can continue with answering of this idea.

i am after things meaning not sure what their called but have seen other trainers and performers with them and i like to wear them or try the as well.

a pouch leather that holds meat or treats for the animals

arm bands / cuffs fancy with tassels or not made of heavy cloth or leather

a vest or as i saw it called a dub-let that would match the boots and rest of the outfit and pants

the style boots would be that of a pro wrestler or that of a cowboy but also match the rest of the outfit

heavy shirt with fancy cuffs like vampires used to wear were a vest could be worn under it

leather pants (any color matches outfit or black)
A leather pouch with af lip top can be made with either loops on the back of it to hang at the belt level or just below it. We have made several style through out the years. P;lease look through Leather & Link to see if you find one of your liking or we can make one for you according to your needs.

The Leather vambracers we have a few in the featured pictures at this time ready to go. Or once again we can make ones better to your liking.

As far as the vest or dublet again look through the Cut of Style and see if you find one you like.

The boots you type of are easy to purchase at other imported or mass produced sites. We can get you contacts for hand made boots and mass produced ones that are of the Reenactment styles.

The shirt can be made by Susan who is currently on this site she has a green deer as her profile picture.

the under vest I am still trying to under stand

Leather Pants again can be made or found in many alternative lifestyle mass produced house sites. We can sew garment grade leather and make a pair for you as well.

To custom order things most artists require at least half up fount first to be paid. If you have pictures of these items typed of that would also give us an better idea and understanding of what you would like.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
