After a week of being there upon the Friday of the 12th of Feb. The brother’s of whom I was with showed up escorted me out with my pack and dropped me off in a Ihop parking lot telling me never to return nor contact
them again. Run out on a rail without the tar and feathers was the style they
used. Telling me first that they were taking me to a shelter/mission, which I
had accepted. That was not what happened. Taking across the water over bridge
and through a tunnel and sticking me in aplace I could not walk off from was
what they did. So Friday started the next traveling. I made some phone calls
and tried to tell the one whom I was just taken from what happened so she knew.
And the little pretty as well. I ‘stole’ out of the bank money I was leaving
for Isabell and monkey boy enough for a bus ticket back to Ohio where there was
a van for me to use. And had arranged a place in Michigan to go to. And one
where I could reclaim things from the Vardar and sort and place here in stock
items for sale. Walking through the night 9 miles and arriving at the bus stop
at 0330 in the morning as it starts to snow I find the buss terminal closed.
But the security guard indicated from inside at 0500 they will reopen. SO I
signed I would be at the door. So leaning the pack up against the wall beside
the door I sat down with it to my back and covered up with the highway coat to
wait the time as snow fell upon me. At five a bus rolled in and I entered the
building paying for the ticket. And then started the wait for the buss at 0730.
Up to Baltimore it went and snow falls as I napped in my seat. Off to Pittsburg
arriving late because of the weather and missing the connection I now have to
wait till 0335 for the next bus to Ohio. Arriving in Ohio at 0710 of the 14th
I was picked up and taken to where my things were. Being introduced to Ellaford
the white e250 extended van { white elephant} that I was handed the keys to.
Sunday I move some things around. And waited for him to return from the Hockey
game. Napping as well to try to reset my body from the Friday to Sunday
adventure. When he returned we transferred things to the 1st level
to make the packing of Ella quicker Monday morning. And I cooked corned beef
that night as well. Boiling my right hand because I over fuilled the pot and
went to dump out the extra water it over spilled on to my hand. That was the
ending of the night and sleep soon followed. The next morning we started
packing Ella and a pork roast was set to cooking as we did so. After packing
the van we ate and I took off to Michigan.  The van drives well and with a slight
transmission problem  causeing it to
stall out like a standard when it come so a stop sometimes. It felt good to
once again return to that I have know many years. As I crossed into Michigain
and checked my messages the world crashed once more for me. Seems where I was
to go was no longer a friendly place. Someone else was there and refused me to
be there. The person I had been taking to to to this day has yet to be found or
contacted of this happened. So Monday after noon in a truck stop with no money
to be had I found myself. Again upon the internet I went thanks to wifi and the
laptop. Contacted some people and through messages and they calling places I
threw darts at the board and came up with a high score. One of the artists here
on site that has done shows with me was able to offer me a place. All I had to
do was drive to Lansing and get there. So all that read this thank Stick John
Mire blacksmith and Viking for having a small place for me to be. Now I am in
Lansing Michigan setting the Vet back up and restarting to place things back
into some type of order for me to work from and to the goal of returning to
shows and hopefully earning Isabell and monkey monster back in my life once
again. Ella sits here with the tings from Ohio in it. Tools in VA. Things in
eastern PA. And the Vardar in Jackson Michigan. The offer stands as I have
written other places ad here. Truck canvas supplies to be gotten and then to
the shows known to me. With it I will show and teach one of these things.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
