Herbal Home Remedies for Anemia
Blood is an extremely complex substance that consists of a variety of liquid and solid elements, including red blood cells, white cells and platelets.

The average adult has between 5 and 6 quarts of blood circulating through his/her body by way of the blood vessels.

Anemia is a condition in which the blood lacks iron, which reduces the blood's ability to carry oxygen. This may make a person feel weak and listless.

To combat anemia, it's important to increase your consumption of iron-rich foods (like beef or spinach) and supplement with B vitamins and minerals like copper.

To help circulation as well as purification of the blood and aid in elimination of irondeficiency anemia, we offer suggestions with the suggestion that you first have appropriate professional blood tests performed. And always consult with a physician before embarking on any self-help program.

Grape juice (no sugar or preservatives. added) is a wonderful source of iron. Drink 8 ounces every day.
Soak 10 currants overnight. Remove seeds and have for 3-4 weeks and have first thing in the morning .
Eat raw spinach salads often. Be sure to wash the spinach thoroughly. Combine any of the following in your spinach salad-watercress, radish, kohlrabi, garlic, chives, leek and onion. They're all high in iron.
Daily intake of 3-4 pieces of dry figs helps in curing anemia.
Every morning after breakfast and every evening after dinner, eat two dried apricots.
Snack on raisins.
Beet juice is the best anemia remedy.
Try to cook in iron pots; it is proven that doing it can significantly increases the amount of iron in your foods.
Honey-It is very good for an anemic person because it helps increase the haemoglobin in the blood. It is rich in iron, copper and manganese.
NOTE: In the case of a serious iron deficiency, you may require more iron than you can possibly get from any or all of these remedies. We suggest you seek help from a health professional.

Blood Fortifiers
Raw (not cooked or canned) pumpkin pulp and squash are said to have purifying properties. Eat them in salads.
When they're in season, a peach a day helps wash toxins away.
Garlic is said to help thin and fortify the blood. Eat raw garlic and/or take garlic supplements daily.
CAUTION: Do not eat garlic or take garlic supplements if you have a bleeding disorder or ulcers, or are taking anticoagulants.

Drink fresh carrot juice as often as once a day if you have access to a juicer, or eat raw carrots. They contain calcium, potassium, phosphorus and vitamins A, B1, B2 and C.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
