Because we do events on the road, we do not depend on the internet contact points.  For internet is not always available in the middle of a field or event site.

 

Craft/Product description:  We carry jewelry, pottery, leatherwork, woodwork, maille, music, metal roses, ironwork, costuming, glass beads, tents, and film and stage props.  Representing over 100 artist/crafters.  Drago being a 7-venue artist/crafter.  Isabell being two-venue artist/crafter and learning more.

 

We specialize in custom creating items for those who ask of our services.  From classic armor to fantasy type in the Armor Division, The TV/Film\Stage item in the Beyond Special Section.  The every day items of the Castle Life.  Clothing of metal leather or cloth in the Cut of Style.  Cutlery and reenactment weapons in the Hall of Steel.  Leather products and maille in the Leather and Link.  With jewelry in the Trinkets and Beads section.

         Do you provide a Craft Demo: XXX Yes ____No, if so what: Isabell can make maille on site.  She can also repair maille items made by others, if she has similar enough material on hand.  Isabell can also make glass beads on site if we have enough people to watch the tent and the crowds allow her time to do so.

 

        Drago tinkers and fixes items on site.  Some items can be fixed while you what if he has the right tools and materials to do so.  In addition, if available we bring other of our artist to do the same when allowed.  Alternatively, have arranged with the faire for blacksmith, glass bead booth or other “working artist tent” for display.

 

Craft/Product average selling Price: $2.00 - $100.00 we do have some items that currently go as high as $450.00.  The highest priced item we have recently carried was $3,200.00.

Currently we are without  our standard 50’X50’ Arabian Bedouin tent and have one canvas full ridge marquee 16’x20’ tent and one 20’x20’ center pole modern material tent.  Both of these are pole tents.  Which we set in front of our Gypsy Vardar that doubles as a tinker shop and changing area.  We also have for sale or rent a rendezvous tent that is 12’x24’ deep because of a 12’ front canopy.  Please allow 3’ for ropes out side of the measurements.

We prefer to keep these items on file for our use, they will be returned to you on the day of the festival set up.  However, if requested in writing and with a provided postage paid envelope, will be returned sooner.  In addition, will send them back when finished viewing them.  Any applicant not selected for the festival will have their media returned upon notification.  USPS will notify those selected for participation in the Faire promptly.  Moreover, those who request it a phone call as well.  Phone notification requested: XXX: Yes ______:  NO

*Additional requests for special requirements will be handled on a one to one basis and all decisions of the Festival Staff are final.  Any staff over four persons must pay a discounted rate to enter, less 25% than normal admission for the time they are on site.  Per standard site.

 

A separate security deposit of $__.___ is due as well and will be returned after the Faire closes if your space is kept clean.  IF you make changes to the landscape or grounds and do not return the area to the original condition an additional fee of $___.___ will be assessed and will be noted against your returning to this faire.  Money orders or Cashiers checks are requested.  Special sized sites and or discounted for demonstrations will be done on a one on one basis.  In addition, will be promptly notified as to those terms by phone and USPS service.  Moreover, are to be mailed to ______________, ATTN: Merchant Director, ______________________________.  No personal checks accepted.

 

All basic fees must accompany this application form in order to reserve your space.  Applicants not accepted for this Festival will have their money orders or cashiers checks returned to them uncashed at the time of notification.  Special sized tent/booth sites and or discounted for Demonstrations then will be notified of fee if any to be paid upon acceptance or denial of the demonstrations that are offered.  And are to be paid by date set by Faire Staff, payment will need to be made with in 30 days of this notice.  **Please make the money orders out to _______________________.  No personal checks are accepted.

 

How many people will be working your booth?  Three (two adults one young child under 3 years old)

 

All Persons working your booth must be listed in this contract.  If you are unsure at this time of those traveling with you to the Faire, then you must send in a complete list no later than thirty days prior to the Faire, so the Faire Staff can make the correct amount of passes for your booth/tent.  If you need to change, your listing please contact: _________, ATTN: Merchant Director, _____________________.  Anyone not wearing/carrying an official Merchant Pass must purchase a general ticket or will be escorted from the premises and not allowed back for this year’s run.  Second offense will result in criminal charges.

Craft/Product description : We represent around 100 artist and crafters,  as well as being ones ourselves who do many types of artistry/crafting, across the United states who produce {90%} most every item we carry, including the tent. Leather, Maille, wood, costumes, weapons, iron, jewelry and many more items as well.

 

Can you Provide a Craft Demo: XXX Yes ____ NO, if so what: We can provide demos in Maille & Chain , jewelry, metal work, leatherwork with the traveling artist Black Angus which is helping us this year when Isabell is nursing . We as well do on site tinkering and fixing of items when asked, need and able to. Our Tent as well is the only one of it’s style currently on the East coast being used to merchant out of at Faires. All of our Artists and Crafters know of our schedule and have our open invitation to come and show their talents as well, for various different craft demos when their schedules permit.

 

Craft/Product average selling Price : We really don’t have and avg. per items they vary in price from $3 to over $3500 depending on what it is. And what we have currently at the show in inventory. According to what we and the artists make and have to sell when we arrive.

Are there any special needs or requests for your area: We have access on three sides.  End of a row or a corner is the best placement. Electric would be nice for a convince. We also like to come in Thursday ahead to set up. And Monday by 1400 to pack out. Because of access with our truck & trailer. We stay on site with/in our tent and equipment.

-No limitations on what we bring to sell  for all our artists are constantly creating items that may be one of a kind to general production of a few styles. So all can be equally represented.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

 

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

 

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
