Although the Golden Dragon is not in any particular family
group of dragons, the Golden dragon is one of the most
revered among all the dragon above all; They are solitary,
mysterious, and quite rare...
The Golden Dragon does not belong to any of the
typical three elements [ earth, water and fire], by
nature he embraces all three. However he does have
an element of his own and that would be the element
air and either predominate in him alone.
The Golden Dragon's is quite beautiful.. in compared
to any of the other dragons..
This being that his scales and his wings are of
scintillating burnished gold. He is the dragon that
possessed of the greatest beauty of all the species, and
some say eve more so than the rarely - seen Celestial Dragons
of ancient Chinese legend. It is said that only three knights have
set their eyes upon the Golden Dragon, and only one single man
has ever been a Friend to a Golden Dragon.
To understand something of this mysterious creature, we need
to refer to the sparse info handed down to us from the supposedly
original Book of the Golden Dragon, one of the secret books of the dragon
culture.
Tradition says that the Golden Dragon has never taken part in any
aggressive action whatsoever. He is pure and unsullied by any flaw.
He has also been known as the Keeper, and defends and enchanted
castle where a pure-hearted knight who devotedly helps him guard
what is known as the Sacred Chalice. This Sacred Chalice is said to be
hidden font and quintessence of the wisdom encompassed by a double
principle; Meaning that: 'Lifes' secret lies in Comprehension rather than Knowledge."
This subtle, supernal message, have to be concealed from the minds of humans
because they are not yet ready for them. Only three knights have ever
succeeded in realizing some of its meaning and the messages, and only one
knight who was free from stain became its true custodian.
Thus, before the astonished gaze of these two companions, this pure- hearted knight
and the Sacred Chalice were Transported away by the Golden Dragon
with a promise that they would return to the outside world when the dwellers of this
world were worthy of the Golden Chalice and its knowledge. The Golden Dragon
carried the Guardian Knight to a crystal castle, in the heart of a hidden oak -wood, and
is watching over the Guardian Knight until the illumination of the
Sacred Chalice can be accepted on the Earth. It is prophesied that when that
happens, every single dragon on earth will take flight to meet the Golden Dragon,
to carrying on their backs the chosen men who finally solved the enigmas of the
Chalice. The prophecy states that once humankind is properly enlightened , humans
will eventually pay homage to the Golden Dragon.
It is said that through this eventual revelation, all nature will be cured of its terrible
wounds. Fear and hatred will be purged from they earth. Peace will gradually break out
instead of war, and a dawn emitted form the Sacred Chalice will bathe our weary world in
Golden Light.
This of course is either Myth or how much one does believe in the fae? The legend of the
Holey Grail and other legends or myths you can't explain or see? The Question I ask you is do you believe in
the possibility that there may be a golden dragon, a chalice, faeries, elves, mermaids, or any
of the myth creatures that we can see or can see and do you believe..
for example the witch has been around for thousands of years she is said to be part of the
myths but she is REAL and is part of or culture today...

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.
As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.
We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
