Faerykin are of two courts, the Seelie court and the Unseelie Court. The Sidhe above who are shadowkin are also FAERYKIN as well, because the whole the magick of both light, and darkness within..therefore Shadowkin. The Seelie court is seen as the blessed court, or the Court of Inner Light. The Seelie Court is seen as the Dark Fae/Court..The Court of The Inner darkness.

First there are the Shadowkin that I will address. Those that belong to the shadowkin are: Dark Fae..such as Bean Si (bean sidhe, banshee's) Leanan Sidhe(said as shee), Those who call themselves psychic vampires, which flow synmously with the Leanan Sidhe, except leanan do not get or want to be apart of the 'vampire subculture' and stereotyping..and prefer to follow the pagan community from which they are from. Many will argue about this though, and I am not hear too argue back. I am leanan Sidhe so I think I know my own race and can speak for them! (well at least..myself!) Also those who are werekin..by this i mean astrally werekin..meaning the shift their form like Shamans on the astral, though some may be able to shift their form on the physical plane, but it takes a Shaman of great disclipine, and ability to this..not average kid joe on the street.

They are the natural born psychic witches, the helpers, the saviors of our race, the healers, The Prophets and the messangers of the goddesses and Gods of the paths we follow. The faerykin are Tuatha De Dannan, and those who have lived for milennia, and have reincarnated over and over and over too fufill their roles in their chosen destiny. These are the De Dannan's who chose too enter the Cycles of existance, The cycles of existance are explained into the celtic doctrines of rebirth.

But Onward too How too tell if you are Kin..
1.) You Are Born with a Caul (A Veil over one's face that foreshadows clairvoyancy..the second sight) (my cousin was born thus)

Scotland
Fairies can also be divided into the Seelie court and the Unseelie court.

The Seelie court, or the blessed court, a group of rather beneficial spirits, is friendly towards humans. The Selie Court are some of the more aristrocratic faeries, and are known as tropping, or heroic faeries. Scottish folklore presents them as a huge host of light and benevolence riding on the night air.

The Unseelie Court or Unblessed Court contains the most malicious, malevolent and evil of the faeries, and a number of monsters of horrible appearance and fearsome abilities as well. They comprise the Slaugh, or The Host, the band of the unsanctified dead who fly above the earth, stealing mortals and take great pleasure in harming humans. Some Scottish legends say they were all once members of the Seelie Court who fell from grace. The Court travels on the night winds from where their unnerving cackles and howls can be heard. They have no method of reproduction, so they enslave mortals whom they think would never be missed and carry them along to become one of them.

The Seelie Court and its counterpart, the Unseelie Court are often at war,and humans may get caught in the middle of such battles. They acquired the title "Court" because they also act as arbiters and judges in faery disputes.

Isle of Skye : One family who was supposed to have stumbled upon this underground abode was the MacCrimmons, whose fame as pipers is known throughout Scotland. They were supposed to have been granted this marvelous musical gift from the Seelie Court in return for their unselfish desire to serve their fellow countrymen. Incidentally, they found the Seelie Court's burgh.

Seelie Court - They are a good-natured aristocracy of faeries. They are fond of riding in long solemn processions called faerie Rades. They are believed to be the last of the Tuatha de Danann (see below). Their evil opposite is the Unseelie Court.
Tuatha de Danann - pronounced "Tootha day danan"; They once ruled Ireland, but fled underground when Ireland was conquered by the Milesians. When they were driven underground, the became the Daoine Sidhe. Their few remaining descendants are believed to make up the Seelie Court (see above).
Seelie : holy, blessed. From Encyclopaedia Mythica: "The Court of the kind and benign fairy host, usually seen around twilight in long solemn processions. These fairies help the poor with gifts of corn and bread."

Unseelie : unholy, damned. From Encyclopaedia Mythica: "The evil counterpart of the Seelie Court is always unfavorable towards mankind. The part which flies through the sky at night is called the 'Horde'. Mortals unfortunate enough to cross the Horde's path are taken along for a hell-ride. These poor victims are beaten and pinched and forced to participate in the bizarre nocturnal activities of these creatures. The Unseelie Court ("Unholy Court") solely consists of those of the fairy-like beings which are the most ugly and evil."

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
