Hypatia is portrayed as a very beautiful woman with a cloak that is fashioned from peacock feathers. She is the daughter of Cerrydwen and is one of the most powerful spellcasters among the imperial pantheon. While a goddess of good alignment she does appreciate all spellcasters regardless of alignment. Those that have meet the goddess describe her as being very serious minded and not at all vain (she is rarely seen laughing or having an enjoyable time and those that compare their beauty to the goddess be they mortal or immortal have never been struck down).
DogmaHypatia is the patron of those who work 'white' magic and those seekers of knowledge. She loves the creation of magic items and the researching of spells never seen before. One proverb among her followers is: 'It is a gift to be able to wield magic, but take wisdom to know when to use magic'. Some evil wizards that practice petty acts of evil (i.e., their actions do not result in destruction of countries or loss of innocent life) give homage to Hypatia in hopes that the magic items they create and new spells they research draw her attention.
Clergy and TemplesHypatia's temples are few; it is far more common to find a small shrine to her in a library that is open to the public, in a school of wizardry, or in an individual wizard's home. When one does find a temple dedicated to Hypatia it is a huge building with many books where not only priests reside within, but also wizards and experts that have taken many knowledge skills (better known as sages). Temples of Hypatia serve as a place where arcane spellcasters can receive healing spells, usually without too much scrutiny…for a donation of course. When a temple is established archmages of various backgrounds come from great distances bringing donations to help in its creation. As such, a temple is likely to have many golems, magical wards and the like. Priests dress in white clothing with trim of lavender and dark blue and adorn themselves with much silver jewelry. Many of the priests are cleric/wizards, with many of them becoming lore masters. A few select and very powerful become Azure Phoenixes.

DweomerdenyEnchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]Level: Dweomer 7, Sor/Wiz 8Components: V and SCasting Time: 1 actionRange: TouchTarget: One spellcasterDuration: InstantaneousSaving Throw: Will to negateSpell Resistance: Yes
This spell banishes a particular spell forever from the mind and comprehension of a spellcasting being. To enact it, the caster touches the target creature while speaking an incantation. If the recipient is not a spellcaster, the spell is wasted. If the saving throw succeeds, the chosen spell vanished from the mind of the target if it currently memorized. The spell is lost, but the target takes no harm. If no such spell is in memory, the spell has no effect at all. The spell targeted may be specific, known, and named, or just whatever magic was used to produce a particular spell effect that the caster of the dweomerdeny has personally witnessed. If the saving throw fails, all memory of the spell is gone forever, both any currently memorized enchantments and all memories of learning them and using them. Moreover, the victim's mind is never able to comprehend the particular spell again. It cannot be learned, memorized, or even read from a scroll by the victim. Limited wish, restoration, and wish spells are the only known ways of reversing this loss.A dweomerdeny works only against a specific spell, not against all spells of a school or type. For instance, it could be cast so as to prevent a wizard from using fireball, but that prohibition would not extend to burning hands or meteor swarm.

This spell is cast the priest is surrounded by a sparkling translucent aura of one of the following colors: dark blue, lavender, or silver. This aura grants the priest a +2 AC luck bonus and a +2 luck bonus to saving throws.Arcane Focus: A pair of silver bracelets each set with amethysts and sapphires valued at a minimum of 250 gp each.

By sheer willpower and faith the priest invokes this spell and forms a circular radiant aura about the head of the priest or chosen spellcasting creature at the beginning of the next round. The spellcasting creature that has Hypatia's Nimbus upon them may then invoke spells from their memory by sheer force of will, not requiring verbal, somatic or material components. Only the stipulation is that spells that normally require material components that exceed the value of 200-gp still require the material components in order to be invoked. The duration of Hypatia's Nimbus and the hue of light that radiates from the Nimbus varies by the moral outlook of the creature.

SpellstrikeAbjurationLevel: Dweomer 9, Sor/Wiz 9Components: VCasting Time: 1 actionRange: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)Target: See textDuration: InstantaneousSaving Throw: NoneSpell Resistance: No
This extremely powerful spell represents the height of the Abjurer's craft; it permits the caster to negate the effect of a spell caster to negate the effect of a spell cast in either the previous round or the round that the spellstrike is cast. The caster of the spellstrike does not need to know the type of spell or magic cast the previous round, only some part of its effect. The spellstrike can be used against one particular spell per casting.Spellstrike does not cause a spell to be reflected, turned, trapped, or sent elsewhere. The spell merely ceases to exist, retroactively, though it is still lost to the original caster. Even spell-like abilities are affected by the spell, though magical items and artifacts are not. Permanency is affected by spellstrike, though contingency, limited wish, and wish is not.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.
Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.
As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.
We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.
Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
