I am reposting this as there seems to be a need for this information to be more freely available. It is a rare thing to experience psychic attacks but it is possible. If you feel like someone or something is attacking your energy then these practices will help. Most times if we really check out what is happening for us it is more likely to be our own fears than from outside ourselves... but there are times when it is very valuable to protect self.

If you performing ritual work or healing work with others is is wise to use self protection. I have shared a few basics here but there are many other techniques you can use. Keeping it easy is the best way. I use these techniques as part of my practice and they become second nature after a while.

These are some techniques that will help you protect yourself from psychic and
spiritual invasions from external sources ...

1. White Light: Spend time visualising a circle of white light
surrounding you.... or you can use an image of a white sleeping bag
zipped up. Visualise and ask that the white light keep out unwanted
energies, only allowing healing and love to flow into your personal
space.

2. Cleansing: Visualise the healing energy pouring in through your
crown charkra at the top of your head. From the head imagine it flowing
down your neck, shoulders, arms to fingers, down your spine, back to
your heart and stomach, to your hips and lower torso, down your legs to
your knees ankles and feet, and flowing from your feet to wrap around
you and back up to your head and repeat the process... as many times as
you feel your need. Finish with the energy flowing back to Mother Earth
taking with it any unwanted or excess energy sending it to its highest
good.

3. Brush Off: this can be done by another for you or you can doing for self.
With both hands beginning at the top or your head stroke from the
centre downwards and flick. Work your way down to your ears, face,
neck, shoulders and arms. Now move down your body... front, sides and
back stroking the energy downwards and away from body. Now keep going
now your legs knees ankles and feet. Then repeat whole process again.
It is a little like taking an energy shower.
To finish take a shower and let the water cleans your skin. If you have a smudge stick you might like to smudge self to finish.

4.Drumming: If you have a friend and a drum you could do a vibrational
tuning... Stand facing North. Start in the North, drumming in front of
body, beginning at the feet and moving up to the head. Moving in an
anti clockwise direction repeat in the east, south and west and once
again in the north ~ from head to toe and above. This also can be
completed with a smudging of sage or other healing herb using the same
process.

5.Smudging. Use a stick of sage or other herbs to your liking and perform a cleansing ritual. The smoke will purify and you can add to the process your own prayer. You may like to honour each direction and call upon your spirit helpers during this process.

You can combine any of these and adapt them to suit your situation.

I hope that you find these practices useful.
If you have your own practices that you think to share please do.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
