Rose Circle Ritual: Circle of Rose Light

RC 2

Saturday Sabbath Ritua

Circle of Rose Light

Our Ancient Sisters gathered on the day of the Sabbath, which is Saturday, as the sun set, to come together in contemplative prayer. This was a time to reflect, meditate, study fast and to pray. It is a time to “Be Holy.” It is a traditionally powerful time that we seem to have lost through the ages.

I had thought how nice this would be, to have our spirits connect, at this time, with each other, both our present Sister and our Ancient Sisters of the Rose, and with all our female members of our families that have gone before us.

As the sun sets in your area of the world, please have a rose, or a picture of a rose, and a candle of your choice. You can use white for higher spiritual intention, or silver candle for the Goddess, or chose one the color of your rose. Do you have music?

If all you can do is connect with us as a community, and all the ancient Sisters and Brothers, in spirit, please do so by just stopping what you are doing for a moment and send your thoughts.

Circle of Rose Light Ritual

We come together once again in community, as our ancient sisters have done, to explore the energy that will be created this night. At dusk, please take a moment to have a rose, or a picture of a rose, and a candle. If you wish to have anything else to draw energy for your intention, please by all means add it. If you do not have a lot of time this evening, please take a moment to just close you eyes, and envision the brightest rose light going out to all our sisters.

Take a moment and sit quietly

Before you light your candle, think of that special intention you have this evening.

Think of this intention as you light you candle. If you can, place your candle in the south.

Visualize all the Sisters of the Rose coming together on Saturday evening for thousands of years to celebrate the power or powers.

You can't pluck a rose
all fragrant with dew
Without part of its fragrance
remaining with you.
~Helen Steiner Rice

Let the spirit of the Goddesses enrich your world.
Use this week's inspiring messages to fill your life
with love, friendship, self-confidence and happiness!

Let us call upon all our Sisters to be with us this eve.

Sisters By Choice

Sisterhood, sisterhood
Calling others to walk
And come together
Where each one can talk

About what is going on
In different parts of the world
Sharing tales with each other
Of when we were a girl

Now, speaking as a woman
Sometimes loud is good
When we come together
As a sisterhood should

Inviting other sisters
Each talking from the heart
A sisterhood grows in strength
When each sister shares a part

Of a special women circle
Creating a strong bond
Bringing together many
Where all become one.

Take a moment to reflect on your personal intentions of this evening.

LET ME BE A SOURCE OF LOVE

Great and Holy Mother,
In a world full of death, you have given me life.
In a world full of hunger, you have given me food.
In a world full of danger, you have given me shelter.
In a world full of strife, you have given me peace.
And most of all, above all else,
In a world full of hatred, you have given me love.

Great and Holy Mother,
I thank you for the life.
I thank you for the food.
I thank you for the shelter.
I thank you for the peace.
And most of all, above all else,
I thank you for the love.
For without love, life has no meaning.
Without love, life is empty.

Great and Holy Mother,
I ask you to make me an instrument of your love.
Let me help you in bringing life to others.
Let me help you in feeding the hungry.
Let me help you in providing shelter from danger.
Let me help you in bringing peace to the world.
And most of all, above all else,
Let me love others the way that you have loved me.
Let me fill the hearts of those around me with unbridled joy.
Let me be a source of love.

Mother never promised roses
Strewn along the way
She never promised angels
To cross our path each day

She never made a promise
Of a night without a tear
Sunlight always shining
And no storm for us to fear

Mother never promised us
A life without some pain
She never promised us
Great riches we would gain

She promised if we called
Upon Her name in prayer
Down on our bended knee
That She would meet us there

Mother promised us to be
A shelter from the storm
A Rock on which to lean
Strength when we are worn

She promised us a refuge
Beneath Her gentle wing
And in the midnight hour
A victory song to sing

Mother promised in the fire
Her presence would be found
And through the troubled waters
She would not let us drown

She promised us a Home
If only faithful we would stay
Forever promised roses
Strewn along the way

May this blessed Rose, sweet with the memories of thy daily acts of
love before the image of Our Mother, and of the wonders wrought for
thee in thy dying moments, give us confidence that thou in Heaven wilt plead that I, too, may share in the good things in store for all The Sister of the Rose.
Mystical Rose of every virtue, pray for us.

Intentions

We ask Our Lord and Lady to send the Angel of Life and the Power of the Red Rose to:

To all our young men and women, in the military, who are injured and suffering through the world.

For all our Sistsers and their family members who are celebrating the gift of life on their birthday.

For members of our community and all those suffering from the floods in Australia, and catastrophic events in other areas of the world also.

So Mote It Be!

We ask Our Lord and Lady to send the Angel of Eternal Life to and the Power of the White Rose to:

Bring Peace, Harmony and Spiritual Guidance to all those who carry the eternal flame of the Divine Sacred Feminine and Divine Sacred Masculine, to all the Sisters of the Rose.

So Mote It Be!

We ask Our Lord and Lady to send the Angel of Our Heavenly Father and Our Earthly Mother, and the Power of the Blue Rose, to bring comfort and healing to:

For all the Health Care workers, so that they may have the strength and endurance to help all the people we love.

So Mote It Be!

We ask Our Lord and Lady to send the Angel of Life and the Power of the Green Rose to:

For all the members of our community that have financial problems.

So Mote It Be!

We ask Our Lord and Lady to send the Power of Powers, the brightest Rose Light to all our Sisters of the Rose through out the week.

So Mote It Be!

ON THIS DAY, O BEAUTIFUL MOTHER

On this day, O beautiful Mother,
On this day we give thee our love.
Near thee, Madonna, fondly we hover,
Trusting thy gentle care to prove.

1. On this day we ask to share,
Dearest Mother, thy sweet care;
Aid us, ere our feet astray
Wander from thy guiding way.

2. Queen of Angels, deign to hear
Lisping children's humble pray'r;
Young hearts gain, O Virgin pure,
Sweetly to thyself allure.

3. Rose of Sharon, lovely flow'r.
Beauteous bud of Eden's bow'r;
Cherished lily of the vale,
Virgin Mother, Queen we hail.

4. In vain the flow'rs of love we bring,
In vain sweet music's note we sing,
If contrite heart and lovely prayer,
Guide not our gifts to thy bright sphere.

5. Fast our days of life we run,
Soon the night of death will come;
Tower of strength in that dread hour,
Come with all thy gentle power.

So Mote it Be!

Let me please thank all the Sisters who sent in their contributions to this ritual.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
