Recently I've been thinking about love and marriage and, for reasons that are more logistic than logical, a certain person has captured my attention. Because we are only rarely together, and then only for business reasons (in which I'm footing the bill, although I've mysteriously been getting unexpected and substantial discounts from this person recently). Obviously, this situation has got to come to a reasonable conclusion for all concerned.
In the meantime, the issue of love and marriage has come up in my mind. I've never been married (I'm not a very patient person and I'm a controller for my household, so that has never concerned me in the past). However, I would like to have a child, and that child should have a reasonable upbringing, which brings the responsibility of love and marriage. What better way to find that situation than through spellcraft?
Here is the spell I used. I don't usually share my spells (it's not generally the best idea), and the reason I'm doing this is because of unforseen activity within the spell. Please, I would like some input:
Pink, blue and white candles were adjusted to burn together and symbolize future love and marriage. Because I'm rather impatient, I enjoy using birthday candles. They act quickly, although they're usually not the strongest or longest lasting of results. As the candles burned down, toward the end of the spell, the wicks did their own thing. This is what I didn't expect:
The wick from the blue candle reached around the wick from the pink candle in an embrace. It then burned out and fell aside. Then the pink and white candle wicks entertwined and created a heart shape of its own accord. The wicks burned strongly for awhile and, as they burned down, a blue flame surrounded the heart shape. Then the flame grew stronger and reached toward the wick that was left by the blue candle, then burned back down to a blue flame, leaving an ember closest to the blue candle wick.
In case you're wondering, I did not adjust the wicks at all. Here is the result. You can see drops from the pink and blue candles, where I turned them each on end to singe the base and secure them after they were lit. The wick for the blue candle is toward the lower right, you can see how there is a sort of burned out space trying to reach back toward that wick. Sort of at the base of the heart shape.
Any ideas about the wick action? It seemed a very meaningful and unexpectedly profound interaction...and almost after the fact.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.
Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.
As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.
We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.
Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.
Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
