Algiers fast luck powder

To attract luck in a hurry.

For luck in gambling, dust the hands before going out to play.

Dust your body for luck in general

Use Equal Amounts Of:

Wintergreen Oil

Patchouli

Cinnamon

 

Algiers Love powder

Used to attract love by dusting the body with it before going out.

Use Equal Parts Of:

Vanilla Oil

Patchouli

Orris

 

Anti-anger/anger relief tea

This tea works well for soothing anger and the antsinses associated with pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). The mixture lasts indefinitely when stored in a jar with a screw on lid.

You Will Need:

1: 2 Tablespoons of Catnip *

2: 5 Tablespoons of Chamomile

3: 3 Tablespoons Of Rose petals

4: 2 Tablespoons Of Lemon Balm

5: 4 Tablespoons Of Lavender

6: 1 ½ Tablespoons of Vervain

The Tea:

Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Use two tablespoons of tea for every cup of water. As the tea steeps chant:

"Fiery anger, go away,

Calmness come, and with me stay.

Soothe my mind, so I can think,

Steep peace of mind within this drink"

Sweeten your tea with sugar or honey if desired.

*Those who are pregnant should consult a physician before ingesting catnip.

 

Anti-anxiety tea

This tea works well for soothing anxiety and depression.

You Will Need:

1: 2 Teaspoons of Valerian Root

2: Boiling Water

The Tea:

Add the two teaspoons of valerian root to one cup of boiling water. As it steeps chant:

"Nervous anxiety, you are dead,

Roots and water soothe my head.

Bring me to your calming peace,

As I will, so mote it be"

Though very effective, this tea has a strong flavour that some people find unpleasant.

To cut the taste, you might want to heavily sweeten it with sugar or honey.

 

Aphrodisia brew

You Will Need:

1: 3 parts Rose Petals

2: 1 Part of Clove

3: 1 Part of Nutmeg

4: 1 Part of lavender

5: 1 part of Ginger

 

 

The Potion:

Make the brew in the usual way; mix the ingredients together, preferably in a earthen pot.

Add the mixture to tea, or serve alone to increase the passions.

 

 

Attraction Oil (general for love, luck, positive change)

Worn when looking for a mate. Anoint on your forehead, below the heart and above the naval. It is said that this oil will help to give you a more magnetic personality if a few drops are added to the bath water once a week. Said to help attract good luck when anointed in your shoes.

You Will Need:

1: Loveage Herb

2: Grated Lemon Peel or Lemon Flowers

3: Oil

4: A Small Piece Of Lodestone

5: A Bottle (s)

The Oil:

Mix equal parts of the Loveage herb and grated lemon peel or lemon flowers.

Add two tablespoons of this mixture to two ounces of oil.

Add a small lodestone to each bottle of the oil that is made.

 

"bend -over" powder

To send evil back to the sender, break hexes and make others do your bidding.

Use Equal Parts Of:

Rose

Frankincense

Vetivert

Honeysuckle

 

Blessing Oil

Use this oil to purify or bless your altar, candlesticks, incense burner etc.

Mix two parts of frankincense and one part of Benzoin gum.

Add two tablespoons of this mixture to two ounces of oil.

 

Blessing Powder

Use Equal Parts Of:

Lavender

Silver Magnetic Powder

Ylang Ylang

Musk

 

Clearing incense

You Will Need:

1: 3 Parts Dried Frankincense

2: 3 Parts Dried Copal

3: 2 Parts Dried Myrrh

4: 1 part Dried Sandalwood

5: A Lighter or Matches

To Prepare / Make The Incense:

Burn this incense when there seems to be anger and rage stirring about your home

Burn the Frankincense, Copal, Myrrh and Sandalwood together at an open window to ensure that all negatives can flee through it.

 

"cornucopia" powder(for prosperity and abundance)

This powder should be sprinkled over the head and about the home when a change of fortune is needed. Also used in charms and upon prosperity altars or as offerings to dieties associated with these aspects.

You Will Need:

1: One Part Basil Powder

2: One Part Spearmint Powder

3: One Part Aniseed Powder

4: One Half Part Of Nutmeg Powder

5: Five Parts Of Talcum Powder

6: One-Eighth Part Of Citronella Essential Oil

7: A Glass Jar

 

Curse Breaking incense 1&2

(1)You Will Need:

1: 2 Parts of Dried Sandalwood

2: 1 Part of Dried Bay

3: A Lighter or Matches

 

 

To prepare / Make The Incense:

It is rare to be cursed, but if you believe that you are cursed then you are.

Smoulder the Sandalwood and Bay together and visualize the smoke from it banishing all negativity from you.

Burn at an open window on a night, and repeat this for seven night during the waning moon.

2: 1 Part of Dried Rosemary

3: 1 Part Dragon's Blood

To prepare / Make The Incense:

Smoulder the Frankincense, Rosemary and Dragon's Blood together and visualize the smoke from it banishing all negativity from you.

Burn at an open window on a night, and repeat this for seven nights during the waning moon.

 

Drawing Powder

To attract good luck and assistance of all good spirits when performing magical work. Sprinkle on altar.

Use Equal Amounts Of:

Jasmine

Violet

Lavender

 

Dream Tea

You Will Need:

1: 2 Parts Rose Petals

2: 1 Part Mugwort

3: 1 Part Peppermint

4: 1 Part jasmine Flowers

5: ½ Part Cinnamon

The Potion:

Prepare the dried herbs.

Mix them and then add one teaspoon of the mixture to a coffee cup.

Then pour on boiling water over the herbs and let the mixture steep for a few minutes.

Then drink the mixture before you go to bed to produce psychic dreams.

 

Ease Wrath Powder

To eliminate hatred and anger in anyone you have pissed off. You sprinkle it on them:

Equal Amounts Of:

Ashes

Red Pepper

Rose

Jasmine

Sandalwood

 

Enticing Love incense

Try this incense in your rituals designed to attract and hold love.

Can also be burned periodically to keep an aura of love about the home.

7: ¼ Teaspoon Of Saltpeter

9: 1 Dram Of Seduction Oil (See recipe)

 

Eliminate Envy Powder

Intended to eliminate feelings of jealousy in people you want to get along with.

Sprinkle on their doorstep, in their path or on their clothing.

Use Equal Amounts Of:

Bayberry

Vetivert

Sassafras

 

Gambler's luck oil

Anoint on charms designed to bring luck in gambling.

It can be rubbed on the palms before gambling.

Anoint each corner of your bingo card before the game begins, anoint in your shoes before going to the racetrack.

Mix together three parts of cinnamon, one part carnation petals and one part of anise seed.

Add two tablespoons of this mixture to two ounces of oil.

Place a small piece of High John The Conqueror root in each bottle of oil made.

 

Gambling Powder

1 oz powdered sandalwood

1 tsp carnation petals (dried and powdered)

1 tsp powdered cinnamon

1/2 dram frankincense oil

1/2 dram myrrh oil

4 oz cornstarch or rice flour

 

Get Away Powder 1&2

(1)Sprinkle in the path of anyone you want to stop bothering you. (Either Directly Or somewhere you know they walk all the time)

You can also sprinkle it on your window sills and front porch to get rid of nosy neighbours, solicitors etc..

Use The Same Amounts Of:

Sulphur

Chilli Powder

Pinch of Asafoetida

 

(2)Use Equal Amounts Of:

Red Pepper

Black Pepper

Patchouli

Ginger

John The Conqueror

Grind ingredients and add to a rice flour/corn starch base for powder.

 

Goddess Of Love Oil

Rub on your hands prior to meeting with a person you are "interested" in to encourage them to reciprocate your interest.

Use Equal Parts Of:

Rose oil

Mint oil

Musk oil

 

"gold dust" powder(another gambling powder)

1: 1 Oz. Of Powdered Sandalwood

2: 1 Teaspoon Of Carnation Petals (Dried And Powdered)

3: 1 Teaspoon Of Powdered Cinnamon

4: ½ Dram Of Frankincense Oil

5: ½ Dram Of Myrrh Oil

6: 4 Oz. Of Talc

 

Happiness Potion

This potion will bring healing and happiness into your life.

You Will Need:

1: Iron Pyrites (Fool's Gold) 2: Bornite (A Mineral, being Copper and Iron Sulphide)

3: Sea Salt 4: Water The Potion:

Perform this ritual on a Thursday when the moon is waxing.

Wash the Pyrites and Bornite in sea salt and water.

Leave upon a windowsill to dry naturally in the sun.

Once dry, energize the mineral and the stone.

The Repeat the following:

"I neutralise and negative energies,

Forces or thoughts that may now be in these,

I charge them to bring happiness, strength and healing into my life,

So Mote It Be"

Once you have completed the process, carry the pyrites and Bornite on you for as long as required.

 

Happiness powder

To bring joy and lift your spirits. Create a circle by sprinkling the powder and sit within it while visualising the powers of the herbs filling you with positive feelings.

This is an oil said to help attract happiness and many good vibrations.

Use two tablespoons of wisteria flowers in two ounces of oil

 

Healing Powder

To cure illness, and maintain health. Can be used with yellow candles in a healing ritual or sprinkled in the ill persons bedroom.

Eucalyptus

Myrrh

Thyme

Allspice

For those who need confidence and inspiration.

Sprinkle on the person to increase their creativity, optimism and confidence.

Use Equal Parts Of:

Pine

Lily

Hyacinth

Lousianna Van-van Oil

This is an oil much used in the voodoo circles, an oil which has many uses.

For uncrossing purposes, add nine drops of the oil to the bath water for nine days daily.

Use two tablespoons of lemon grass herb to two ounces of oil.

A pinch of blessed salt is added to each bottle of oil made.

 

Love and Understadning Powder

Sprinkle this powder on newlyweds before they leave for their honeymoon and any couple to increase understanding and bring peace and love.

Use Equal Amounts Of:

Gardenia

Lilac

Muguet (Lily of the Valley)

Lily

 

Love drawing oil

Said To attract a lover. As a perfume anoint one the forehead, heart and genitals.

 

Use two tablespoons of any of the following: jasmine, red rose or lavender to two ounces of oil. A small piece of orrisroot is added to each bottle made

Mix together two parts of red rose petals to one part of cinnamon. Use two tablespoons of this mixture to two ounces of oil. A small piece of orris root is added to each bottle of oil made.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
