Guide to Essential Oils

As a psychic, I regularly use essential oils when I meditate and when I do my readings. Essential oils are aromatic, volatile liquids that are directly distilled from plants. Did you know that you raise the vibration of your energy field when you smell these oils?

The use of essential oils or aromatherapy was the first medicine of humankind. Records dating back to 4,500 BC describe the use of aromatherapy. References to using these oils for healing can be found in Egyptian hieroglyphics, Chinese manuscripts, and the Bible. Aromatherapy can help you process troubled emotions and it can help you open your heart.

For instance rose, jasmine, and ylang ylang oils all help to relieve stress, and they open you more to love and romance. If you are a guy, there are more masculine scents such as sandalwood, cedarwood, and myrrh. Sandalwood oil is an aphrodisiac that will also help relieve depression.

Aromatherapy can also help to open up your psychic senses. One of my favorite oils to use is frankincense. Frankincense oil helps with mental fatigue, the remembrance of your dreams, and it will help you connect to inner guidance. Other oils that can strengthen psychic abilities are lemongrass, lavender, cedarwood, myrrh, and cinnamon oils. Essential oils also help to clear and protect your energy field. Some oils that can protect your energy field from negative energy are clove, tea tree, pettigrain, juniper, and neroli.

Essential oils can be very powerful. Pregnant women need to be careful with essential oils. According to Margaret Fawcett, a nurse, midwife, and author of Aromatherapy For Pregnancy and Childbirth, lavender, frankincense, sandalwood, and tea tree oils are safe throughout pregnancy but some oils are to be totally avoided and some are only safe after 16 weeks of pregnancy.

If you are sensitive in wearing essential oils, you can benefit from smelling them. You can sniff a cotton ball with drops of oil. The more pure the oil, the more effective it will be. As the oils are healing to body, mind, and spirit they can also be used to enhance visualization. Try using a favorite essential oil when visualizing the changes you would like to see in your life. See the specific change, picture all the details, and sniff the essential oil while drawing your mental picture. You can even use your imagination of the aroma to affect your energy as well. You can call on the spirit of the plant, it's essence, for healing. Have fun exploring using essential oils in transformation!

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
