Wear as little clothing as possible for this meditation. Choose clothing
is loose and comfortable. Find a safe and private place in the grass if
you can. Make sure you are not near any red ant hills. :) Lie down on
your back in the grass.

Start by feeling the breeze on your skin. What does the air smell like?
What kind of feeling do you get from it? Is it warm or cool? It is quiet
and subtle or a strong breeze? Let it sweep away all the clutter in
your mind. Let it quiet the frenetic workings of your mind. See the
clarity it brings as your mind starts to be calm. Spend a few moments
experiencing the air.

Now pay attention to the sun. Feel its fire. Feel how it warms you, how
it warms the earth under you, sending heat into the very center of the
earth and radiating it throughout. Let it caress your skin. Allow its
energy to fill your body and your spirit. Let it fill you with radiance
and passion for life. Enjoy being with the sun for a few moments.

Now turn your attention to water, see if you can isolate the water that
is in the air. We call it humidity and it drives us crazy, but it is
just water. Feel it as separate from the air. Let it sink into your
pores and cleanse you of all impurities. Let it steam away all the
worries in your mind and spirit. Then imagine it for a moment, becoming
cooler, turning into raindrops instead of an invisible steam. Let it
cool your skin, wash away the heat and oppressiveness. Accept its gift
of peace and healing. Be with the water for a few moments.

Now feel the shape of the earth against your body, then feel the grass,
smell it, learn what it has to teach you about connectedness. See the
flow of the earth, the mountains, valleys, deserts and crags. Let the
strength of Mother Earth rise up into your body, filling you with her
courage, her ancient energy. Experience the solidity of the earth for a
few moments.

Now feel your body, every separate part, see your spirit within your
body, joined to the elements and embraced by them all, filled with them
all and filling them all in return. Feel the spirits of the animals, the
ancestors, the rocks, the trees, and of and other living people joining
you in a swirling spiral of light. Hear the singing of the stars as
they dance beside you. Feel how you are all connected in this dance, all
is one, and one is all, yet each is still unique. You are a part of the
whole universe, yet still uniquely you. Allow yourself to feel the
incredible joy of the dance as each part of the whole performs their own
unique steps in perfect love and perfect trust.

Experience this oneness for a while, then gradually allow yourself to
feel the earth, and the water and the sun and the air again, as you
gently come out of the meditation. Allow yourself to retain some of the joy you felt in the dance.

Love & Blessings,
Arianrhod

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
