Here i am a few years into my path, and i should know this, but am at a loss. I am thinking of a chord, but not sure how to go about it. I recently had a passing of a friend, an ex we can say: not a very positive relationship. He still works his manipulating fingers here and there. Looking how to bind the deceased's spirit. Please let me know if you have anything.

Blessed Be Sisters and Brothers

)O(

I have found a spell odins binding spell, looking for thoughts of yours on if i need to change it for the spirit, or if it is fine as it is. here it is below.

    0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

This spell is not meant to punish the person it binds, it is meant to help them. You cast it out of necessity and compassion, not in anger. It is designed to stop the person dead in their tracks, freeze them from doing harm to themselves or others and give them pause, a clear space in which positive transformation can occur.

Items you will need

• A poppet personalized
by writing their name on
it or affixing a picture
of them to the poppet's
face.
• 2 Black Candles
• Black Linen thread
• Copal Incense
• An image of the person,
or personal item.
• A healthy, living tree,
ideally inside your
house or backyard

Casting Instructions for ' Odin's Binding'

Carve the person?s name into the candle. Light one candle and the incense.
Bind the poppet with the thread, wrapping it around and around, making knots whenever you feel they are necessary. Speak to the person as you do this, telling them specifically why you are binding them and what you are binding them from. Leave a long piece of thread hanging from the poppet. Tie nine knots in this. Drip molten wax on the bindings, to seal them.

Leave the poppet on the altar, touching whatever you are using to connect them to it, until the candle and incense have burned out. Take the poppet and use the thread to tie it upside-down to a tree.

Say:

Poppet that I hung on a windy tree,
Hung there for nights full nine;
With the spear I was wounded, and offered I was
To Odin, myself to myself,
On the tree that none may ever know
What root beneath it runs.

Leave the poppet on the tree for nine days. Recite the poem to the poppet at least once each day, sending the person strong thoughts about the changes you want them to manifest. Send them compassion, send them enlightenment. Hold a mirror up to the poppet while you recite the poem if you want them to 'see' what they have done.

Yell at the poppet if you have anger you need to release.

Take the poppet down on the ninth day, leaving it bound. Light the second black candle and drip its wax all over the poppet. Speak to the person while you do this, telling them whatever you think they need to hear. As soon as the wax sets, get the poppet out of your house and into the trash. Do NOT bury it. If the tree shows signs of growth afterward, that is a good sign the transformation part of the spell is working.

As a binding spell this is fine and should work very well.......but, as for binding a spirit, someone who is deceased I believe you would have to go about this in another way and it is really rather simple.

If you know the spirit that is haunting your home, and I am presuming that you do, you can tie 7, 14, or 21 knots in a rope while you are saying the name of the spirit. Now, just to keep them away bury the rope outside your home. However, if you wish to release the spirit to another existence, burn the rope.

I hope this helps!

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
