A Ritual for Releasing Anger and Pain

There are times and circumstances in our lives which can often cause us to become extremely angered and suffer from a great deal of pain. No matter how hard we try, sometimes we cannot find a way to rid ourselves of these emotions. Anger is a dangerous monster than can eventually consume you from within. In order for you to live a peaceful and happy life, you must find some way to remove that anger.

There is a ritual that you can perform which works very well for releasing the anger that you harbor inside which causes you pain and anguish. This is a very powerful ritual, so it is important that you perform this ritual at a time and in a place where you will not be disturbed and will have the privacy to release your emotions as necessary. You will need very few tools to perform this ritual, and these tools include a red candle, white candle, paper and something to write with, a fire-safe dish for burning and something to light a fire such as matches or a lighter.

The first step in performing this ritual is to cast a strong circle that will not only protect you, but protect those outside the circle from being harmed by the raging energies you are going to release. For this reason, it really is best if you can perform the ritual in a very private place where no one else will be around.

Call upon the powers of the East to help you focus on releasing these emotions safely, and express your rage and anger clearly.

Call upon the powers of the South to help you to burn the rage.

Call upon the powers of the West to help you to cleanse your spirit and restore peace to your inner being.

Call upon the powers of the North to help you to ground your rage and provide grounding support to you during this releasing process.

It is very important that before you begin releasing these raging energies, you make sure that you feel your circle is secure. This ritual can be very emotional as deeply rooted emotions of anger, pain, rage and suffering are released, so the circle must be strong to contain them within.

Begin by lighting the red candle. Using your paper and writing utensil, begin to write down what it is that has made you so angered and filled with rage. What situation or circumstances caused your body, mind and soul to become broken filled with these strong, damaging emotions. You can draw pictures or write words, whatever it takes to express what it is that has affected you so deeply. If it was another person that has caused these feelings within you, make sure that your writing does not turn the blame to the other person. Focus on you and your feelings that you are needing to release.

When you have finished, take the paper and hold it in your hands. Begin to focus on the red candle, and imagine your anger and rage leaving you and entering the candle. You may see the candle begin to jump or burn higher as it is filled with your rage, so do not be sitting too closely to the candle.

Continue to do this until you feel you have released as much of your anger as possible into the candle. Now take the paper you are holding and light it with the candle. Place the burning paper into the fire-safe dish and let it burn out.

Next, light the white candle. By light of the white candle on a new sheet of paper, write down what feelings you are seeking. Peace, happiness, self-esteem, calmness, serenity; any feelings which you desire to have that will take the place of the anger. Sit for a few moments focusing on the white candle and imagine those feelings entering into your body.

When you feel as though you are calm and at peace, the spell is complete. You can release the circle, however leave the candles burning until they are completely burned out.

This ritual can be a wonderful way to help release the dark energy of anger that is stored within, and help to replace it with calm and peaceful feelings that you are seeking in your life. I hope that if you suffer from such pain, you find it helpful and can use it to help make yourself whole once again.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
