Protection Spell

Hear me Guardians from every direction

I ask you now for your protection

Let no harmful thing inside

And let this home be a place to hide

From the worries and troubles that abound

Make this be our sacred ground

Cover the windows, cover the doors

Shield the ceiling and shield the floors

Please allow no evil in

Your divine protection doth now begin

Supplies: Tiger’s eye, paper, black or white candle, small jar or bowl (non-flammable), about 3 tablespoons sea water (or water with salt mixed in)

Write the spell on a piece of paper.  Open your sacred space and place a black or gray cloth on your altar.  Place the Tiger’s eye in the empty vessel (jar or bowl) and then put the vessel on your altar near the candle. Light the candle.

Say the spell as many times as you feel you need to, and then carefully light the paper, with the spell written on it, on fire.  Drop the paper into the vessel with the Tiger’s eye and let it burn completely.

Put the water in with the ashes and swish it around, letting the Tiger’s Eye stir the mixture into a slush.  Put out your candle (never blow out a candle) or allow it to safely burn down.

Start at the north side of your house.  Use the slush to draw a little pentacle in the corner of all windows and doorframes.  Use any remaining slush to draw a line on the bottom door jamb of the door used most frequently to come in and out of your house.

When you are done, dry off the Tiger’s eye with your hands (do not wash off the stone with water) and carry it as an amulet or gris-gris for extra protection.

Witch bottle/Protection bottle/Spell bottle

Variations:

I have also used 4 pieces of Tiger's Eye instead of just one.  I then have placed one piece of this charmed stone in each of the 4 directions of my house.  This sets up a kind of protection grid.

You can also perform this spell to make a spell bottle (or Witch's bottle or protection charm bottle) For this you would do it without the stones.  After the paper has burned out, fill the bottle with sharp things - nails, tacks, bits of broken mirror; whatever.  Now pee in it.  Screw the lid on and bury it in your yard.  This Witch's Bottle one of the ancient banishing spells to bring protection to a farm/home.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
