The color of a crystal is the key to its healing qualities. Each color of stone works best on a specific chakra to clear energy blockages, open the chakras, and increase vitality and well-being.

White Stones - Crown Chakra White stones stimulate the Crown (7th) Chakra to increase a general sense of well-being. They can also improve self-esteem and aids in dispelling mental anguish. The Crown Chakra should not have too much direct stimulus, so place the crystal under your pillow while you sleep. Ideal crystals include: Rock quartz, zircon, and diamond.

Violet Stones - Brow (Third Eye) Chakra Purple or violet stones stimulate the Brow (6th) Chakra, easing pain, agitation, and stress. These stones will also help boost concentration, mental awareness, and clairvoyance, and can aid in sinus difficulties and headaches. Lie still for a few minutes while gently rubbing a polished crystal in small, slow clockwise spirals on the center of your forehead. Ideal crystals include: Amethyst, fluorite, kunzite, sugilite, and labradorite.

Blue Stones - Throat Chakra Blue crystals stimulate your Throat (5th) Chakra to ease ear, nose and throat conditions. They also help with glandular problems, teeth and gum diseases and conditions affecting the alimentary canal. Improving communication and "speaking up for yourself" is also aided by blue stones. Lie with a blue crystal at your throat or wear a blue stone in a pendant to impart its stimulating energies. Ideal crystals include: Sodalite, azurite, and lapis lazuli.

Green and Pink Stones - Heart Chakra Pink and green crystals balance the Heart (4th) Chakra, which may aid in easing heart and chest conditions. They also treat emotional difficulties such as a stress, anger, and sadness. Pink and green stones also promote compassion and understanding. Lie down and place the crystal over your heart, visualizing healing energy washing away hurt, bitterness, and stress. Ideal crystals include: Jade, aventurine, rose quartz, malachite, and watermelon tourmaline. (See my article Rose Quartz - The Love Crystal for more information)

Yellow Stones - Solar Plexus Chakra Yellow crystals stimulate the Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakra. This helps with digestion and eases food allergies, liver problems, IBS and muscle cramps. Yellow stones also help with self-esteem and standing in your own power, especially if you're feeling territorial. Place the crystal on your solar plexus; lie still and calm your mind as the energy soothes and heals. Ideal crystals include: Light citrine, yellow topaz, agate, and light amber.

Orange Stones - Sacral Chakra Orange stones stimulate the Sacral (2nd) Chakra with governs the genitalia, womb, and sacrum. They can help to increase energy, dispel inhibitions and repression, and ease kidney trouble. These stones can carried in your pocket or used as a belt or in a navel piercing Ideal crystals include: Tiger's eye, carnelian, yellow jasper, and citrine.

Red and Black Stones - Root Chakra The earthy colors of red, black, and brown stones help stimulate the Base (1st) Chakra. They can be used to improve fertility and sex drive, ease menstrual problems and blood disorders, and help with frigidity. These crystals can also help you feel connected to the primal forces of the earth and increase courage. Ideal crystals include: Garnet, ruby, red jasper, jet, obsidian, and hematite.

You can also purchase necklaces or bracelets which are arranged stones in a rainbow of color to help keep all 7 chakras balanced and stimulated.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
