Well I did type I would do one. And I have. Most likely will do a couple or so more with what I have left here. This one was made from some of the patchwork left over from the Cloak. And is machine sewn primitively so to give the look of 'Franky". It has a Gold tone buckle clasp, with a black wire loop for the leather tongue end and I sewed the leather tongue upside down just to be different. I also trimmed a spiral notebook cover corners down so to fit into it. Works well. Hope you enjoy it.

Dont forget old friend to trim the little thread snippets so the brownies don't risk accidentally choking themselves lol. they seem to favour your book covers quite nicely :)

In evil chuckle "Let the Little, fuckers choke!!!".  They have messed with moving my tools a little to often lately. Even leaving chocolate out on the desk did not help this time. Then again a squished brownie book might be interesting.

Yes, had not gotten to the fire trimming of the extra thread at the picture time. I do limited runs on things. Basically I will make a few of something {this time it will be 5  Franky, and 2 two part brown} when I have the material then and not make it again for a while afterwards. I am currently making a few more of these type covers. Using up the remaining larger parts I have. So get yours when I have them for I will not know when I will be doing so again.

And then will be looking to making small pouches out of the next pile of hide.  People do leather items and some consider what they sent me as 'scrap' but I look at it and see many other things. I will find what else I can make as it tells me. The pile gets smaller but I continue. Eventually I will have only small pieces that will be left. But that is going to take a bit yet to get to that point, I think.

Did up a couple of two piece ones, these will be for sale in the featured pictures.Yes, the color almost matches but they are two different textures.

this one is the same leather hide but needed two parts to make cover.

Also a couple of darker 'Franky' ones.

This one has a double 'D' ring closure

this one has a slip square metal closure.

They are coming along nicely

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
