Journaling is important because it allows you to  document your work
through Tarot as well as the Oracle.  I'll refer to  Tarot often; it is because
Tarot is more in depth than Oracle, Healing,  Inspiration, or Spirit Cards.
The Oracle card has the purpose of the  meaning directly there, on the card.
There is no question in the meaning  of that card.  The Tarot, on the other
hand, needs an interpreter, and that  means us!  Your cards and journal
will be close to you as we journey  together during this course.

Your journal time should be focused.   Give yourself a few quiet moments to
do this.  It doesn't need to be  lengthy.  Your first impressions should
work.  Write your  feelings.  Write even one word that comes to you.  You
might think  this will limit you, but it really won't.  That focus will help you
as you  work your way through the deck.

You should handle your cards every  day.  Handle them as a whole, then one
by one.  When I began to study  Tarot, I would take my deck around with me.
If I knew I would do alot of  kitchen work, for example, they would
accompany me to the shelf in the kitchen,  with the card or cards of the day
propped up.  I would look at the cards,  even talk to them.  I know it sounds
silly!  But that is what worked  for me.  Find what works for you.  If you have
a wonderful  communication with them while in the garden or out under your
favorite tree,  then sit with them like that.  If you enjoy meditation time
before bed,  then sit with them then.  Some have slept with the Tarot under
their  pillows.  Some carry them in their purses, briefcases or cars.  Some
will prop up the card in the busy place in the house, and get intuned with
it  that way.  Whatever way you find works for you, will be the best way to
go.

Some find the Tarot more than mere tools; they find them a  wonderful
addition to meditation, or to spiritual growth.  Depending on  which way you view
them, will depend on how you store them or handle them.   Again, this is
really all up to you.  Some Readers like to store their  Tarot wrapped in silk
or cotton (natural materials) in the color that fits them  the most.  Some
like to store their cards in wooden boxes (again, natural)  or in a hand
made pillow case made just for them.  I have a wooden shadow  box with a glass
lid, so that I can keep my everyday dust off of the Tarot, yet  visually
find peace or strength when I most need it by just looking at  them.  Again,
this is up to you to find what will be work for you.   Experiment with
different ways and find something unique!

So keep your  cards and journal close to you.  Each day will bring
messages; each day  will further your wisdom in the Divination of Tarot.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
