[Michigan Rope is having their Rope Party with Rope Drill on Saturday March 5th. I-Love-RopeBondage and BondQuest are moving Michigan Rope to a new venue. This will allow them to have Michigan Rope once a month, every month, from now on. We will continue to have a Michigan Rope Drill with a Rope Play Party, every 1st Saturday of the every month. This is a now public event and everyone is welcome to join in the Rope Fun. There will be a $10 per person cover to help support the venue and bring out of town riggers in for the rope drills.

The new venue will have plenty of room for suspension, floor ties, bondage tables, or whatever your creative mind can come up with. This is a great venue to show off all that you have learned and take some great pictures. Doors will open at 6:00pm for some social time, rope drills will begin at 7:00pm and the Rope Party will immediately follow the drills and go until 1AM.

RSVP

At our rope drills, before each Rope Party, we will do basic knots, ties, wrap practices and suspensions. After the drill we will have a Rope Party in the two story Dungeon. There are numerous suspension points with mats underneath, plenty of floor space, suspension rigs, and other equipment all over that can easily be used with rope.

Soda, water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available for $1 and light munchies will be provided. If you would like to bring some food to share, you are most welcome to but it is not a requirement.

There will also be Garrs Ropes in a variety of colors and sizes, shibari rings, safety scissors and rope books at our venue. What better place to get your rigging gear than where you will be using it most! In the vending area we also have Conditioning Supplies, safety equipment, First Aid supplies, Fire Cupping Kits, Violet Wands, Master Howard’s Canes, and so much more. Everyone has chipped in to help support the new venue and is giving Michigan Rope a part of the profits to help pay for rent. Thank you to all the supporters and sponsors for making this happen.

ALL are welcome! Those new to rope, those comfortable with rope, old hands at rope, tops, bottoms, switches, or curious people that are interested in the experience. You're all welcome and you'll get the chance to use your rope on someone, have rope used on you, take some pictures or just meet others who share our interests. To protect everyone’s right to privacy, any photos taken at this event must have consent of anyone in the photo (even background people) and everyone in the photo must have prior knowledge of the photo before the picture is taken. This includes professional photos, candid photos, Cell phone photos, 35mm photos, and anything that is used to take a picture.

We will see everyone at the building on the 1st Saturday of the month at 6PM for our Rope Play Party and Rope Drill. Come out to enjoy and belong. Parking is around the back of the building. You will need to go around the block to park and enter behind the building.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
