I am very excited to be hosting an amazing, ropetastic event in St. Louis, MO! Lew Rubens' LewBari Weekend is a three-day intensive hands-on event that takes participants from beginning rope bondage through intensive floor work and on to suspension. This is your opportunity to learn rope bondage from one of the best! Featuring two very full days of Lew's high-energy teaching as well as practical experience and a play party to put your new skills into practice!
To make this event even more awesome, we will be at the incredible new Charenton Social Club in St. Louis, MO! If you haven't yet visited this wonderful BDSM club, this is a perfect opportunity.
If you need any further enticement, we will have gourmet food and beverage catered by Shameless Grounds. Located very near to the Charenton, this sex-positive coffeehouse and restaurant provides the perfect place to wind down and discuss the events of the day with new friends.

Lew Rubens
Experienced rigger and suspension artist, Lew Rubens has a love and passion of bondage that shows in his work. Known mostly for his wild suspensions, Lew joined the public side of BDSM play in spring of 2001 and started his website, BoundNDetermined.com. A few years later, Kink.com made him an offer he couldn't resist and he began running Waterbondage.com for them from winter 2006, through spring 2008 - at that time moving into a "Bondage Consultant" position for the prestigious company. On his own again now, Lew has plans to revive BoundNDetermined.com and well as starting exciting new sites LewRubens.com and Lewbari.com. as well as contracting his Bondage Consulting knowledge abroad. Lew has presented his workshops and demos of his unique style at many BDSM and bondage industry events throughout the US, Canada, Jamaica, and Germany.
The Charenton Social Club
We are extremely pleased to be able to offer this event at the fabulous Charenton Social Club in St. Louis, MO. This amazing space features a 2500sq.ft. lounge area and a 5000sq.ft playspace with limitless space for rope and suspensions!

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.
We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
