4) Use of Slave Language
Slaves never speak of themselves in "first-person" except for the slave kennels and the forum room, white silk slaves ALWAYS speak in third person though. An exception to this is when the ‘i’ is used in the slave litany or when personal slaves use ‘my Master’. A slave, when describing her actions, will always say something such as: "this girl kneels" or "vella kneels". Slaves will always speak in third-person while in the Tavern, Bath House, Training Yard and the Piazza. The first offence should carry a warning. After that, punishment will depend upon whichever Free Person wishes to enforce this Rule.
Gorean Shores does not use the supposed "old gorean language" like "jashi or niden" as that is not from the John Norman books.... but gorean words from the books are encouraged (see dictionary) Remember that GS is situated in Port Kar so wagon people or savage lanuage would not be heard here.
5) One Channel
Slaves are expected to give their complete attention to the Masters they serve. The use of multiple channels or browsers is inconsistent with a slave's requirement to fully please a Master. Thus, slaves are not permitted to be in Gorean Shores and any other chat site. If you want to be somewhere else, ask to leave and then go. ICQ, MSN or similar is not permitted during serving. Whispers should be avoided as well, unless asking for a serving type help from another kajira.
The use of cutting and pasting for serves and entrances is NOT permitted. Slaves are expected to type their serves and entrances, and to make each serve and entrance unique. The use of cutting and pasting is permitted, where necessary, for dances
If a non-Gorean Master, or one of non-Gorean nature is to come in to GS, ie: a flying dragon, or vampire, C&P is encouraged so the incident can first be looked at by the trainer or SlaveMaster or first girl, and passed along to the Council if necessary. If any behavior is present of which you are in question, whether from Free or slave, c&p the incident to be reviewed by the trainer or SlaveMaster or first girl.
Attitude
All slaves are to conduct themselves in a pleasing manner at all times. If a slave enters the tavern, bath house, training yard or piazza, she will be expected to serve and be pleasing. If she has only a few minutes, and will not have time to serve, or if her heart is not in her service, she should leave or not enter in the first place. If a girl states upon entering she has not much time, then she should still participate as much as possible, a harta serve for example, a quick chore, etc., but to be in the room for more than a few minutes, is NO excuse to NOT serve or converse, If a slave is not in the frame of mind appropriate to her place, she should not be in Gorean Shores. This is Gor. There is little tolerance for whiny or whimpering slaves. There will be no talk of real time (RT) issues in public if it is at all possible.
We will not tolerate slaves who do not understand their position in Gorean society. A slave, if unpleasing, is subject to whatever punishment her Master (or if she is uncollared, any Master) wishes to subject her to. And the slave will be expected to take whatever punishment is dealt upon her. While some Masters may be tolerant, others are not. A *guide line* from the Council.-Masters are reminded, however, of the power that they hold over slaves, and are cautioned not to abuse such power, slaves, if found displeasing, could be cuffed, or lightly kicked aside, or even have their hair grabbed and pulled to make it shown that they have been found LESS than acceptable, but NOT whipped or damaged permanently in any way. Any displeasing slave may be tied to the post to await further punishment
If a Free Person insist on whipping a GS slave, then that slave may leave the tavern without permission, but that slave needs to c&p the incident and send to their Owners at goreanshores@hotmail.com Please note that you may well still be whipped by one of your owners if they feel its deserved.
Special Instructions
Slaves who have "special" instructions from their Master are advised to inform a Captain or Advisor of of those rules so that he may assist you in keeping obedient to your Master, and to ensure that other visitors do not try to make you do something which you are forbidden. It should also be brought to the attention of the Master/Mistress that you are serving exactly what your restrictions are so that they may not ask you to do something you are restricted from doing.
The Final Rule
While a Free Person may not always be right, they are, by definition, never WRONG. Slaves always have the last word in any disagreement ..the words "Yes, Master"
Slave Positions
Today, in the BDSM lifestyle there are no set rules for slave positions if you are not a part of some organized community, structured play group or you are not from the planet GOR, which I am not. However, there are two general guidelines of commonly used commands and positions that you can use as go-bys in making your own positions for a slave. One is traditional positions and the other is Gorean positions. A Master determines the positions for a slave that suit his personal needs.
Generally a Master establishes several positions and they are useful for effectively managing his slave. As in all aspects of training, the slave positions are used to enable the slave to better serve, obey an please her Master. Few things define the slave more than slave positions.
Slave positions are often used to:
? allow her to show her submission and devotion,
? force her to concentrate on her position and body,
? give her a feeling a helplessness and remind her of her status as a slave,
? assist in her training by establishing a controlled behavior,
? punish her or assume a position for punishment,
? examine his slave’s body, often as in inspection,
? easily have sexual access to her body,
? shape her behavior
? view her body for his pleasure,
? help a slave learn patience and
? make her available for public display or to show off to others.
The usefulness of slave positions in the managing of your slaves actions and making live easier and simpler for the Master is often overlooked. With one word or hand gesture a Master places a slave in a position that is useful and or pleasing to him and reduces the amount of instructions that are needed to direct her actions.
In addition, the use of positions will assist a Master in making behavioral modification. Positions create in her a feeling of helplessness to control the position and movement of her body. Her behavior is controlled by her Master and this reinforces training. She can only change positions when her Master gives her an additional command to do so. It also conditions her to move and act at her Master’s command.
Inspection positions are used to inspect or examine your slave’s body. This includes not only her skin, but her mouth, ears, cunt and anal area. Inspection positions are also used to insure proper hygiene, examine burises from scene play, insure she is following shaving instructions, and reinforce in her mind that no part of her being is private from her Master.
Instruction positions are positions that are used for training a slave. It is comparable to setting at a school desk and is used in teaching and communicating items of importance during training. In other words, when you place a slave in an instruction position, she knows to focus on your commands and or instructions intently. I use the verbal command "TEACH" and when a slave hears this command she knows to assume the position and direct her entire attention to what I am saying because my intent is to instruct her.
There are also several positions that are painful to hold for a long period of time and some Masters use them for punishment or to train a slave to focus on following orders.
The slave’s body is for her Master's pleasure. Sexual positions are taught to the slave so she can better serve him sexually and in a way he wishes.
A slave is not always in use by her Master. During the times she is not used she may be assigned a place and position to assume until needed again. With proper training, the slave learns to be patient while awaiting her Master's next command.
Positions are also used as part of scene play. For example, a command may be given to the slave placing her in an animal position, such as 'dog, cat, cow, or worm', The slave then acts like that animal and is not allowed to walk on two legs or speak. In the case of the 'worm' command the slave is to crawl on her belly.
Positions can be used simply for art or beauty. If you enjoy viewing a slave in a particular position, she is pleasing you by just assuming that position for your viewing pleasure.
Some positions are used to display a slave in public and to show how well she is trained. These are used, more often, if the Master is a member of a structured bdsm play group or follows the Gorean lifestyle.
When a slave is ordered to assume a position, she should do it quickly and gracefully and without questioning the reason. she should also quickly respond verbally, usually with a "Yes, Sir" as soon as ordered to the position.
The use of slave positions, slave modes, and PRESENTING allow a Master to have complete control of his slave 100 percent of the time. All three are used in conjunction to control a slave and make long-term management of her easier.
Below is a list of traditional slave positions and commands that have been used for a long time
Often these positions are referred to as "Old Guard" positions. This is true but many pre-date the old guard's use of them and were also used outside of what is defined as old guard at the same time. So, to me, it seems more logical to refer to them as traditional slave positions. In addition, commands and positions varied depending on where you lived. As seen below, the use of the word 'Present' or 'Presenting' varies greatly. In addition, PRESENTING refers to a whole set of instructions covered under the PRESENTING section. The traditional positions shown below are more flexible than the Gorean ones but less standardized.
Attend - This is when a slave is directed to 'attend' to the needs or serve another dominant (non-sexual)
Attention - This is a military position. The slave stands, feet and ankles together and her arms are at her sides, fingers curled slightly under and held at the thighs. Her back is straight and her eyes are focused on the horizon.
Assume Spot - This is generally a position to the left and slightly behind a dominant wherein the slave is in a comfortable position (not kneeling) which can be maintained for long periods of time.
Auction – This is a position used to display a slave at a slave auction or to show your slave to others. The slave starts by facing the crowd with legs spread, arms at a 45 degree angle from body with palms facing crowd. On command the slave turns away from the crowd and assumes the same position in order to show her back side.
Bring - Get - Fetch - All variations of the same command which is used to set the slave into motion to retrieve an object or objects for her Master.
Come - Present - Generally a face down position, arms at the side, legs together. This the definition of Present as a position.
Present - (variation) will have a submissive face down with arms stretched forward over her head -- wrists crossed -- and ankles crossed to represent cuffing.
Follow - to trail the dominant an exact pace 3-4 steps to the back and left of dominant.
Crawl - generally a full forward belly crawl.
Down on Back - assume position on back, legs together, arms at side.
Close - can be used physically, mentally or both; Generally it means that the slave is to "close off" the genitals from view, from desire or both.
Crawl - (variation) knee and palm crawl.
Display - any arrangement of body posture determined in advance by the dominant to be 'the display position' -- slave is to move into that position until verbally released.
Dismissal - This is used for dismissal from presence for discipline or punishment and should include the slave backing away from the dominant, chin up, eyes lowered in whatever 'mode of travel' the slave is already in when the command is issued. Example, if the slave is standing the slave will back up standing. Slave is to remain 'facing' their dominant until they have gone beyond the 'threshold' -- in common terms this is generally 10 feet (seldom implemented today). If the slave is in a crawling position when dismissal is ordered, they would crawl backward (again facing dominant) from presence.
Display - This position is often called Inspection. The Display command has several different means depending on your location. 1) English Classic Display - kneeling with thighs widely apart. The slave should interlock her fingers behind her head, chin should be up, eyes should be down, butt on heels, back is straight, chest and genitals presented in 'display' or for the viewing pleasure or inspection. 2) Modern - Standing in semi-military stance. Feet should be same width apart as the shoulders, fingers laced behind neck, chin up, eyes down, posture straight, full body and genital exposure. 3) In addition, in some areas "Display" was a command for the slave to show her Master her mouth, breast, anal area and cunt in four positions.
Examination - It is usually more than one position. The slave displays a part of her body then on command moves to the next position to display a different part of her body.
Informal or At Ease position - Very similar to military at-ease position. The slave standing with her feet at the same width apart as the shoulders, head up, eyes down, posture perfect but not stiff. The slave when standing next to other slaves should maintain one arm lengths distance on all sides if more than one slave is under inspection.
Inspection - often used for 1) or 2) listed under Display.
Stool - table - ottoman - These are all variations of a slave as furniture on hands and knees with head down below table surface - back to be held firmly as furniture (footrest or table).
Parade rest - This is another military position. The slave spreads her feet apart to the width of the shoulders. The slave's arms are behind her back and she cups one hand in the other at the small of her back. If used in a military fashion, the slave must first be at attention and when ordered to Parade rest, moves only her left foot and hands to assume the position. In the BDSM community this position is often used without going first to attention.
Present - This is commonly used to order slave into 'modern' kneel display position. Kneeling with thighs apart, back should be posture perfect, chin up, eyes down, palms down and resting on the front of thighs, butt on heels. A variation is the English style - palms up on thighs (otherwise same as above)
Front cuff or back cuff - slave to move hands to front while maintaining any presentation position -- or to the back. Cuffing can be 'invisible.'
Present down - This position is generally where the slave moves from a standing or kneeling position into a full face down presentation. Note - attaining the position should be done in a sensual fashion to provide visual pleasure to anyone viewing the change in position.
Guard - This order or command is exactly as it sounds -- it orders the slave to guard whatever the dominant directs the slave to guard -such as property or even other people.
Fetch - The slave is to retrieve objects using only her mouth as a dog would.
Get - Bring - same command as above.
Got to your Place - The slave goes to a predetermined location in the home and stays until her Master has a need for her.
Surrender - Prostate - often melded to present down with ankles crossed and arms above head wrists crossed while laying face down.
Heel – The slave follows slightly behind and to the right of her Master. Often used if the Master wishes to engage in conversation while walking with his slave.
Humble - may include face down with legs parted to width of shoulders -- arms out to sides to form a human cross shape and can be face up or face down.
Leave - Stop - command to cease any and all activities without question.
English Obedience - Kneeling (same as English above) except that the slave will place her hands behind her back (often crossed at wrist) and will bend forward until her face is against the floor surface.
Modern kneel - slave will rest her weight on her forearms with her hands meeting and her face moving down to rest against her wrists.
Open - present - As noted -- Present is used in many ways. Open is or can be used to mean open physically, mentally or both - Open most often refers to genitals.
Worship - This command directs a slave into a position of worshipping a specific body part of the dominant.
Whip - This may be a standing or kneeling position. If standing the slave should be against a solid surface (hand bracing) exposing the back and buttocks for whipping. If kneeling, the slave should present back and buttocks in the air while adequately protecting the hands, and neck by keeping those areas down or under the body.
Present (position) - may include ritualized offerings of a collar, or may blend with other commands such as 'bring' so that the slave 'displays' the object she has retrieved in a present position once returning to the presence of the dominant.
Exit or Leave Presence - Older traditions were for a slave never to turn her back on her dominant while moving 'in presence.' The turning of her back is considered an action of disrespect.
A list of some Gorean slave positions
Because I am not a Gorean this is not a complete list of the positions they use. For a more complete list, you can go to a Gorean site. Almost any webpage from the planet Gor gives a description of Gorean slave positions. Gorean slave positions are based upon a series of 26 fictional books written under the pin name of John Norman by John Lange, Ph. D. a Philosophy professor at Columbia University, New York. His first novel was Tarnsman of Gor, published in 1967 and the last mass-published novel, Magicians of Gor, published in 1988. Witness of Gor, was published by an independent press called World of Gor in 2002. Norman fictionalized Gor as an Earthlike planet which orbits the sun at approximately the same distance as Earth and is held in orbit by alien rulers that control it and the inhabitants.
Norman describes slave positions in his books and some are listed here.
Bara – The slave lies on her belly, her forehead to the floor. She crosses her ankles and places her wrists, again crossed, in the small of her back and waits to be bound.
Belly - The slave lays on her belly with her legs spread to shoulder width apart and her arms by her sides, palms up, her forehead to the ground. She crawls to her Master's feet on her belly.
Gorean bow – The slave kneels with her thighs spread wide. She leans over backwards until her head touches the floor, and places her hands beside them. She then pulls herself up, arching her back.
Karta - The karta is said to be a position of obedience. The slave kneels on the floor, her thighs spread widely to allow her to lay her chest upon the floor, she leans forward placing her breasts and forehead against the floor, and reaches out with her arms fully.
Leasha – The slave kneels with her back to her Master with her thighs spread wide and her back stiffly arched. She crosses her wrists in the small of her back and turns her head to the left, her eyes lowered in submission, and her lips are slightly parted as she awaits a leash.
Nadu – The slave kneels with her thighs spread wide for his pleasure, her back arched elegantly, her head held high with eyes lowered submissively. She lays her hands palms upward upon her thighs.
Sula – The slave lays flat on the floor on her back and her feet spread shoulder width apart. She places her wrists above her head and crosses them. Her eyes remain lowered in submission.
Tower - A variation of the Nadu, but her knees are together, and her palms are down and resting on her thighs. It is used for a non-sexual slave.
My basic slave Positions and Commands
The following is a list of the commands I use and the corresponding slave Positions. They are not explained in great detail here, but they do give a general idea as to how they are used.
I use a smaller number of general positions and commands than some Masters and more than others. For several years now, I have modified my positions from the standard ones that are shown above to better fit my personal needs. Each is done in a style that I like, not what others think that a kneel position or a face down position should be like. I teach a slave how to respond to the commands as I wish to see them done and in a way that, over time, has proven effective for me. These Positions, along with the slave modes and Presenting requirements, allows me to have effective control of my slaves.
A list of the basic slave positions that I use:
STAND OR UP – stand with legs 4" apart – head up – eyes down – arms behind back with palms crossed.
Voice Command – Stand or Up
Hand Command – open hand moved up
KNEEL – on your knees – back straight – arms behind back with hands together – head up – eyes down (shown above)
Voice Command – Kneel
Hand Command – open hand moved down with fingers together
This is the slave's standard position
KNEEL SPREAD – on your knees – legs spread as wide as possible – feet together – push breasts out – head up – eyes down – hands behind head – fingers locked
Voice Command – Kneel spread
No Hand Command
SIT – Indian style on the floor – knees bent – legs spread and crossed at the ankles – palms up on knees – back straight – head up – eyes slightly down
Variation – if Your Master points to a chair or object and says "sit" – back straight – knees about 2 1/2" apart – hands on legs – palms down – head up – eyes slightly down. NOT SLUMPED!!
Voice Command – Sit
No hand Command unless Master points to an object to sit in
TEACH – on knees – feet together – knees 12-14" apart – sitting on heels – hands laid on legs with palms up – back straight – head up – eyes down – sitting back on heels – used in teaching and communicating items of importance during training

This is a worship position and a display of obedience. You may do this on your own if there is a desire. This position is reserved for your Master unless He orders You to show this courtesy to another Master/Mistress.

LAY DOWN – lay on stomach – face down – arms above head – legs spread

DISPLAY – Items are displayed in the following order – Breast, Pussy, Ass, and Mouth. Offers each item in the appropriate order for viewing by her Master she then waits for a nod or acknowledgement from her Master before continuing to the next item
EXAMINATION – This is a command to do a detailed examination of the slave’s body. It is the most details inspection command and position that is composed of 4 positions to be done in the following order and on command: When she is issued the command "Examination" she lays on her back as detailed below. After her Master inspects her in that position he will issue the commands "Front, Cunt, and Anal" and examine the slave in each position.
1) Back - on back - legs spread wide – arms above head – palms up
2) Front – on stomach – legs spread wide – arms above head – palms down
3) Cunt – on back – knees bent – spread legs - opens her cunt with her hands for exam
4) Anal – on knees – head down – spread ass checks for exam
The Purpose of Display and Exam are to:
1) demonstrate the training
2) remind the slave of her status
3) remind the slave that her body is for her Master’s entertainment
4) allows her Master to keep an eye on her body for any flaws see how well she is maintaining her body.
PUNISHMENT – 2 positions
Punishment Position (Knees) – on knees – head down – hands by face
Punishment Position (Standing) – bend over and grab legs with hands behind calves.
GO TO YOUR CORNER - This is for punishment or discipline or merely to think and focus. Go to a designated corner – nose pressed to wall in kneel position. If for long period of time the slave can shift to the sit position but must keep her nose to the wall.
GO TO YOUR PLACE – This is for focusing, studying, or to feel ownership. It is also a place sent when not in use by her Master. This is a place of comfort and relaxation. There is no one position for this command accept that she sits on the floor and remains quite until needed by her Master.
Voice Command – go to your place (2 variations – face – face Master, back – back to Master)
Hand Command – point to the place
FOLLOW – At the right of her Master 3-4 spaces back accept when opening doors or moving items out of the way.
HEEL – leash command, but may be used when not leashed – at the right of her Master one pace back as if she is leashed.
Voice Command – Heel
Hand Command – Master slaps the side of his leg with palm of his hand.
Slave Positions
Preface
We have been asked often to do an article about slave positions. To be honest, we hesitated for a long time to publish such an article, because there is nothing like written slave positions.
For this reason we decided to provide a description of some basic positions which are commonly used and to write a few things about the their background. Of course, the presented positions are only samples and every couple develops their own style and variations. Some of the elements of the shown positions can of course be combined and varied. The shown positions are not a "Must", but an interesting addition to a D/s play and can also be a good start for a D/s play and its atmosphere.
Basics
All positions are constructed to work against the natural body adjustment. They force the person to fully concentrate on their position and body. The intention is to increase the attention as well as the concentration. They also violate the persons instinctive self protection by exposing the body and its vulnerable regions. By this the feeling of being helpless and being at someone's mercy is emphasized.
Basic Positions
Position 1: Standing
The legs are lightly spread apart and the hands are folded behind the neck with the elbows spread wide. By this the body and especially the vulnerable chest are exposed and unprotected.
Position 2: Kneeling Upright (Attention)
The knees are lightly spread apart and the hands are folded behind the neck with the elbows spread wide.
Position 3: Kneeling (Waiting Position)
The slave kneels with spread legs, the hands rest on the thighs, palms up. This position shows the will to serve and the position of the hands with palms up also signals that their is no aggression (psychological effect)
Position 4: kneeling face down (Submission)
The arms are spread forward or folded on the back. The neck is exposed and with that the person shows complete submission.
Position 5: On All Fours (as furniture, chair, table, doggy-style)
This position has certain animalistic aspects as well as the aspect of humiliation. If you use your slave as a chair, make sure that you don't put too much pressure on his spine. Try to sit as close to his butt as possible.
Position 6: Belly
The arms are either spread in a 90 degree angle (butterfly) or spread forward at each side of the head. The legs are slightly spread and can be pulled a little towards the body in order to lift the back a little.
Position 7: Bend Down (Punishment / Inspection Position)
The backside is very much exposed and with that wonderfully positioned for a spanking or flogging. The danger of hurting the kidneys is very much reduced. Just make sure your strikes come from the side rather than from the top. This position also very useful for "inspections". But it is quite unstable, so be careful when using it for punishment.
Position 8: Backside / Presentation
The hands are positioned around the ankles and spread the legs a little. In this position the genital area is very exposed and unprotected.
ajira is the term for "slave-girl" in John Norman's Gor novels. Slaves in the Gorean lifestyle will refer to themselves as kajirae. The phrase "la kajira" is said to mean "I am a slave-girl" in the Gorean language, the most widely-spoken lingua franca in the known regions of the planet Gor (this is one of the few complete Gorean-language sentences given in the Gor novels).
The word is usually seen in the feminine form "kajira" (pl. "kajirae"), as most slaves in the Gorean lifestyle are female; the masculine forms are "kajirus" and "kajiri" (following the rules of Latin nominative adjective morphology, as seen also with words such as "alumnus"/"alumna", etc.). The construction "kajiras" is incorrect, but is occasionally seen in third-party writing.
A common misconception among people practicing the lifestyle or playing out the Gorean theme online is that kajirae never refer to themselves in the first person, using the terms "me" or "I", instead being allowed only to refer to themselves in the third person. If one is adhering to the novels this is inaccurate, as virtually all of the kajirae in the Gor novels do often refer to themselves in the first person (the phrase "la kajira" being an example), with third person speech being uncommon in the text. However, the books do support the idea that third-person speech is considered distinctively slave speech (in Captive of Gor,
chapter 15, Ute issues the command "Speak as a slave!", meaning in the third person), and that slaves may be specifically commanded to speak in such a way
slave Owner
A slave is extraordinary, rare — and most often confused until they discover their slave spirit heart. Most slaves wander through life feeling unfulfilled — as if they have a "dark hole" in their spirit — a hole that can be temporarily filled with an abundance of sex, work, addictive behavior or other whole-life-consuming factors.
Master Steve
Domination is not limited to a dungeon. The dynamics of domination and submission is all around us and I like to challenge slaves in our everyday environments. For some slaves fixed periods of time in a dungeon is limiting and unfulfilling to their needs and as a slave Owner I feel the same. Being contractually owned and exclusive to my will allows me to expand my creativity and develop slaves with unconventional methods not available in a dungeon setting. Domination can be seen as incredibly subtle but felt more rewarding and satisfying as this is realistically the closest a slave can get to their fantasy without sacrificing their existing life commitments.
The sole purpose in this slave's, or maid's, life is to liberate his Mistress from the mundane. This slave will be self-motivated and diligent, and not in need of constant supervision. Domestic training will include household chores, slave Friday activities and personal attention as needed. Your reward for good service will be play time with me.
While the desire to serve me, the Mistress, is the primary focus, there will be a heavier emphasis on the proper etiquette of the Femdom-sub relationship. In addition to the slave's domestic duties, intense training will be given in the arts of pleasing the Mistress: extensive foot worship, pedicure, correct presentation of slave in physical and verbal training, pain threshold and endurance training, self control and pro-active training. Your training will make you excel in your servitude and you will be happier for it.
I expect my submissives and slaves to be my opposite, but equal and complementary to my intelligence and ethos. The basic instinct of submission is something that cannot be taught or trained; it will come from within you and therefore, in my opinion, is either there or not. Similarly, submission is not so much about a series of acts that are done, but rather a surrender which is what you will find most fulfilling.
If the submission is part of your nature as domination is a part of mine, then your submission is switched on with a look or a word, and will be ever-present, as opposed to some other partnerships which rely on raised voices, whips, contraptions and defined times. Within my current mindset everything comes from and resides within, and subtlety is a wonderful part of D/s for me where things do not always have to be overly explicit in nature all of the time, where there is always an underlying understanding, at home or in public. Even mundane tasks will affect you on many levels, and the strangest thing perhaps is that a lot of the time your feelings inside will not be sexualised. Slavery and ownership for me is mostly about a feeling of belonging, a permanent journey into a world that feels more right and fulfilling.
Submission is an aspect of your psyche that cannot be repressed forever, in the same sense as Dominance is for me. To be unable to express this side of yourself, in my mind, is an awful waste of a damn good slave.
My preference to live this lifestyle means I enjoy the company of slaves in my everyday environment. Slavery for me is not a bedroom game but a lifestyle choice. Submission to me includes all aspects of life; cleaning, cooking, running errands, anticipating needs, and doing what ever is required to make my life easier. To serving my breakfast, preparing my bath, cleaning my home, chauffeuring me to appointments and domestic shopping are just some of the duties my contractual slaves are tasked with. Slaves can be given roles from personal assistant, chauffeur, beautician, cook, gardener or maid. As a Lifestyle Dominant, those who enter my elite inner circle have the unique opportunity to be initially contractually collared to me for 101 days and then, if I am happy with your slavery, automatically renewed for each term for 303 days.
My lifestyle slaves are not the same as collared slaves or submissives I receive in my chambers for fixed periods of time. A lifestyle slave finds limited time in dungeon space unfulfilling to their needs. While a collared slave is my slave while he wears my collar in my company, my lifestyle slaves are in effect 'contractually owned', and exclusive to me. They are at my beck and call to do my bidding when I want it, within pre-agreed defined limits. The power exchange is constant, but can sometimes be extremely subtle and for many this style is unquestionably more rewarding and satisfying as this is invariably the closest a slave can get to the real thing without sacrificing existing life commitments.
How do you know if this path is right for you? To become one of my lifestyle slaves, the primary needs of a prospective slave are of service, pleasing, worshiping and being owned to the Mistress. To find contentedness in making the daily chores of life easier to bear for the Mistress. The slave's happiness is derived from seeing the Mistress happy, therefore it's a matter of attitude. Through this attitude a slave will cultivate self-awareness and under tutelage of me, awareness of my needs and wishes sometimes described as a sort of sixth sense to anticipate my needs.

Before being accepted into my lifestyle a slave will need to satisfy me that they have the determination, drive and suitability for this style of training. This is an opportunity for both myself and the prospective lifestyle slave to ensure completion and continuation of the contract. It does not please me to have a slave 'drop out' of my slave training therefore a series of various types of appointments will be required before the invitation to pursue this contractual training procedure.
The slave will be made aware of the expectations and needs towards the Mistress with an opportunity to ask questions and express any concerns but primarily this time is for the slave to familiarise themselves with the working of my mind. Depending on the type of role undertaken in my service, you may be required to submit a Resumé of Service with references as well as proof of legal qualification (a driving license if chauffeuring, for example, will be expected from the slave).
Contractual Documentation
The initial contract will be for 101 days which will automatically renew itself for an additional 303 days until I, the Mistress, decide to terminate the slave's service. If the slave wishes to leave contractual service with me, the slave has the opportunity to do so on the 101st day only of each term.
The contractual documentation within my lifestyle consist of a Consensual Slavery Contract, a Negotiated Boundaries Contract, an Activity Checklist, a Slave Rules Charter and Slave Datasheet. You will also be registered on the IRS (International Registrar of Slaves) to me.

I'm often asked what actually happens with the development of the slave. While each slave is individual and I protect my privacy fiercely you will not know exactly what's in store until you are living it with me.
I expect my slaves to complete a slave journal regularly so I am always aware of what state of mind my possession is in. I consider this a serious responsibility to care for the welfare of my property and have found journals to be the most effective in providing me with this information.
While my slaves are my property, they are not doormats (not unless I want them to be to be used and abused without direction), but instead highly intelligent and good company. I therefore like to stretch my slaves with ad-hoc tasks of written training assignments for stimulating discussion and growth.
Slaves never speak of themselves in "first-person" except for the slave kennels and the forum room, white silk slaves ALWAYS speak in third person though. An exception to this is when the ‘i’ is used in the slave litany or when personal slaves use ‘my Master’. A slave, when describing her actions, will always say something such as: "this girl kneels" or "vella kneels". Slaves will always speak in third-person while in the Tavern, Bath House, Training Yard and the Piazza. The first offence should carry a warning. After that, punishment will depend upon whichever Free Person wishes to enforce this Rule.
Gorean Shores does not use the supposed "old gorean language" like "jashi or niden" as that is not from the John Norman books.... but gorean words from the books are encouraged (see dictionary) Remember that GS is situated in Port Kar so wagon people or savage lanuage would not be heard here.
5) One Channel
Slaves are expected to give their complete attention to the Masters they serve. The use of multiple channels or browsers is inconsistent with a slave's requirement to fully please a Master. Thus, slaves are not permitted to be in Gorean Shores and any other chat site. If you want to be somewhere else, ask to leave and then go. ICQ, MSN or similar is not permitted during serving. Whispers should be avoided as well, unless asking for a serving type help from another kajira.
The use of cutting and pasting for serves and entrances is NOT permitted. Slaves are expected to type their serves and entrances, and to make each serve and entrance unique. The use of cutting and pasting is permitted, where necessary, for dances
If a non-Gorean Master, or one of non-Gorean nature is to come in to GS, ie: a flying dragon, or vampire, C&P is encouraged so the incident can first be looked at by the trainer or SlaveMaster or first girl, and passed along to the Council if necessary. If any behavior is present of which you are in question, whether from Free or slave, c&p the incident to be reviewed by the trainer or SlaveMaster or first girl.
Attitude
All slaves are to conduct themselves in a pleasing manner at all times. If a slave enters the tavern, bath house, training yard or piazza, she will be expected to serve and be pleasing. If she has only a few minutes, and will not have time to serve, or if her heart is not in her service, she should leave or not enter in the first place. If a girl states upon entering she has not much time, then she should still participate as much as possible, a harta serve for example, a quick chore, etc., but to be in the room for more than a few minutes, is NO excuse to NOT serve or converse, If a slave is not in the frame of mind appropriate to her place, she should not be in Gorean Shores. This is Gor. There is little tolerance for whiny or whimpering slaves. There will be no talk of real time (RT) issues in public if it is at all possible.
We will not tolerate slaves who do not understand their position in Gorean society. A slave, if unpleasing, is subject to whatever punishment her Master (or if she is uncollared, any Master) wishes to subject her to. And the slave will be expected to take whatever punishment is dealt upon her. While some Masters may be tolerant, others are not. A *guide line* from the Council.-Masters are reminded, however, of the power that they hold over slaves, and are cautioned not to abuse such power, slaves, if found displeasing, could be cuffed, or lightly kicked aside, or even have their hair grabbed and pulled to make it shown that they have been found LESS than acceptable, but NOT whipped or damaged permanently in any way. Any displeasing slave may be tied to the post to await further punishment
If a Free Person insist on whipping a GS slave, then that slave may leave the tavern without permission, but that slave needs to c&p the incident and send to their Owners at goreanshores@hotmail.com Please note that you may well still be whipped by one of your owners if they feel its deserved.
Special Instructions
Slaves who have "special" instructions from their Master are advised to inform a Captain or Advisor of of those rules so that he may assist you in keeping obedient to your Master, and to ensure that other visitors do not try to make you do something which you are forbidden. It should also be brought to the attention of the Master/Mistress that you are serving exactly what your restrictions are so that they may not ask you to do something you are restricted from doing.
The Final Rule
While a Free Person may not always be right, they are, by definition, never WRONG. Slaves always have the last word in any disagreement ..the words "Yes, Master"
Slave Positions
Today, in the BDSM lifestyle there are no set rules for slave positions if you are not a part of some organized community, structured play group or you are not from the planet GOR, which I am not. However, there are two general guidelines of commonly used commands and positions that you can use as go-bys in making your own positions for a slave. One is traditional positions and the other is Gorean positions. A Master determines the positions for a slave that suit his personal needs.
Generally a Master establishes several positions and they are useful for effectively managing his slave. As in all aspects of training, the slave positions are used to enable the slave to better serve, obey an please her Master. Few things define the slave more than slave positions.
Slave positions are often used to:
? allow her to show her submission and devotion,
? force her to concentrate on her position and body,
? give her a feeling a helplessness and remind her of her status as a slave,
? assist in her training by establishing a controlled behavior,
? punish her or assume a position for punishment,
? examine his slave’s body, often as in inspection,
? easily have sexual access to her body,
? shape her behavior
? view her body for his pleasure,
? help a slave learn patience and
? make her available for public display or to show off to others.
The usefulness of slave positions in the managing of your slaves actions and making live easier and simpler for the Master is often overlooked. With one word or hand gesture a Master places a slave in a position that is useful and or pleasing to him and reduces the amount of instructions that are needed to direct her actions.
In addition, the use of positions will assist a Master in making behavioral modification. Positions create in her a feeling of helplessness to control the position and movement of her body. Her behavior is controlled by her Master and this reinforces training. She can only change positions when her Master gives her an additional command to do so. It also conditions her to move and act at her Master’s command.
Inspection positions are used to inspect or examine your slave’s body. This includes not only her skin, but her mouth, ears, cunt and anal area. Inspection positions are also used to insure proper hygiene, examine burises from scene play, insure she is following shaving instructions, and reinforce in her mind that no part of her being is private from her Master.
Instruction positions are positions that are used for training a slave. It is comparable to setting at a school desk and is used in teaching and communicating items of importance during training. In other words, when you place a slave in an instruction position, she knows to focus on your commands and or instructions intently. I use the verbal command "TEACH" and when a slave hears this command she knows to assume the position and direct her entire attention to what I am saying because my intent is to instruct her.
There are also several positions that are painful to hold for a long period of time and some Masters use them for punishment or to train a slave to focus on following orders.
The slave’s body is for her Master's pleasure. Sexual positions are taught to the slave so she can better serve him sexually and in a way he wishes.
A slave is not always in use by her Master. During the times she is not used she may be assigned a place and position to assume until needed again. With proper training, the slave learns to be patient while awaiting her Master's next command.
Positions are also used as part of scene play. For example, a command may be given to the slave placing her in an animal position, such as 'dog, cat, cow, or worm', The slave then acts like that animal and is not allowed to walk on two legs or speak. In the case of the 'worm' command the slave is to crawl on her belly.
Positions can be used simply for art or beauty. If you enjoy viewing a slave in a particular position, she is pleasing you by just assuming that position for your viewing pleasure.
Some positions are used to display a slave in public and to show how well she is trained. These are used, more often, if the Master is a member of a structured bdsm play group or follows the Gorean lifestyle.
When a slave is ordered to assume a position, she should do it quickly and gracefully and without questioning the reason. she should also quickly respond verbally, usually with a "Yes, Sir" as soon as ordered to the position.
The use of slave positions, slave modes, and PRESENTING allow a Master to have complete control of his slave 100 percent of the time. All three are used in conjunction to control a slave and make long-term management of her easier.
Below is a list of traditional slave positions and commands that have been used for a long time
Often these positions are referred to as "Old Guard" positions. This is true but many pre-date the old guard's use of them and were also used outside of what is defined as old guard at the same time. So, to me, it seems more logical to refer to them as traditional slave positions. In addition, commands and positions varied depending on where you lived. As seen below, the use of the word 'Present' or 'Presenting' varies greatly. In addition, PRESENTING refers to a whole set of instructions covered under the PRESENTING section. The traditional positions shown below are more flexible than the Gorean ones but less standardized.
Attend - This is when a slave is directed to 'attend' to the needs or serve another dominant (non-sexual)
Attention - This is a military position. The slave stands, feet and ankles together and her arms are at her sides, fingers curled slightly under and held at the thighs. Her back is straight and her eyes are focused on the horizon.
Assume Spot - This is generally a position to the left and slightly behind a dominant wherein the slave is in a comfortable position (not kneeling) which can be maintained for long periods of time.
Auction – This is a position used to display a slave at a slave auction or to show your slave to others. The slave starts by facing the crowd with legs spread, arms at a 45 degree angle from body with palms facing crowd. On command the slave turns away from the crowd and assumes the same position in order to show her back side.
Bring - Get - Fetch - All variations of the same command which is used to set the slave into motion to retrieve an object or objects for her Master.
Come - Present - Generally a face down position, arms at the side, legs together. This the definition of Present as a position.
Present - (variation) will have a submissive face down with arms stretched forward over her head -- wrists crossed -- and ankles crossed to represent cuffing.
Follow - to trail the dominant an exact pace 3-4 steps to the back and left of dominant.
Crawl - generally a full forward belly crawl.
Down on Back - assume position on back, legs together, arms at side.
Close - can be used physically, mentally or both; Generally it means that the slave is to "close off" the genitals from view, from desire or both.
Crawl - (variation) knee and palm crawl.
Display - any arrangement of body posture determined in advance by the dominant to be 'the display position' -- slave is to move into that position until verbally released.
Dismissal - This is used for dismissal from presence for discipline or punishment and should include the slave backing away from the dominant, chin up, eyes lowered in whatever 'mode of travel' the slave is already in when the command is issued. Example, if the slave is standing the slave will back up standing. Slave is to remain 'facing' their dominant until they have gone beyond the 'threshold' -- in common terms this is generally 10 feet (seldom implemented today). If the slave is in a crawling position when dismissal is ordered, they would crawl backward (again facing dominant) from presence.
Display - This position is often called Inspection. The Display command has several different means depending on your location. 1) English Classic Display - kneeling with thighs widely apart. The slave should interlock her fingers behind her head, chin should be up, eyes should be down, butt on heels, back is straight, chest and genitals presented in 'display' or for the viewing pleasure or inspection. 2) Modern - Standing in semi-military stance. Feet should be same width apart as the shoulders, fingers laced behind neck, chin up, eyes down, posture straight, full body and genital exposure. 3) In addition, in some areas "Display" was a command for the slave to show her Master her mouth, breast, anal area and cunt in four positions.
Examination - It is usually more than one position. The slave displays a part of her body then on command moves to the next position to display a different part of her body.
Informal or At Ease position - Very similar to military at-ease position. The slave standing with her feet at the same width apart as the shoulders, head up, eyes down, posture perfect but not stiff. The slave when standing next to other slaves should maintain one arm lengths distance on all sides if more than one slave is under inspection.
Inspection - often used for 1) or 2) listed under Display.
Stool - table - ottoman - These are all variations of a slave as furniture on hands and knees with head down below table surface - back to be held firmly as furniture (footrest or table).
Parade rest - This is another military position. The slave spreads her feet apart to the width of the shoulders. The slave's arms are behind her back and she cups one hand in the other at the small of her back. If used in a military fashion, the slave must first be at attention and when ordered to Parade rest, moves only her left foot and hands to assume the position. In the BDSM community this position is often used without going first to attention.
Present - This is commonly used to order slave into 'modern' kneel display position. Kneeling with thighs apart, back should be posture perfect, chin up, eyes down, palms down and resting on the front of thighs, butt on heels. A variation is the English style - palms up on thighs (otherwise same as above)
Front cuff or back cuff - slave to move hands to front while maintaining any presentation position -- or to the back. Cuffing can be 'invisible.'
Present down - This position is generally where the slave moves from a standing or kneeling position into a full face down presentation. Note - attaining the position should be done in a sensual fashion to provide visual pleasure to anyone viewing the change in position.
Guard - This order or command is exactly as it sounds -- it orders the slave to guard whatever the dominant directs the slave to guard -such as property or even other people.
Fetch - The slave is to retrieve objects using only her mouth as a dog would.
Get - Bring - same command as above.
Got to your Place - The slave goes to a predetermined location in the home and stays until her Master has a need for her.
Surrender - Prostate - often melded to present down with ankles crossed and arms above head wrists crossed while laying face down.
Heel – The slave follows slightly behind and to the right of her Master. Often used if the Master wishes to engage in conversation while walking with his slave.
Humble - may include face down with legs parted to width of shoulders -- arms out to sides to form a human cross shape and can be face up or face down.
Leave - Stop - command to cease any and all activities without question.
English Obedience - Kneeling (same as English above) except that the slave will place her hands behind her back (often crossed at wrist) and will bend forward until her face is against the floor surface.
Modern kneel - slave will rest her weight on her forearms with her hands meeting and her face moving down to rest against her wrists.
Open - present - As noted -- Present is used in many ways. Open is or can be used to mean open physically, mentally or both - Open most often refers to genitals.
Worship - This command directs a slave into a position of worshipping a specific body part of the dominant.
Whip - This may be a standing or kneeling position. If standing the slave should be against a solid surface (hand bracing) exposing the back and buttocks for whipping. If kneeling, the slave should present back and buttocks in the air while adequately protecting the hands, and neck by keeping those areas down or under the body.
Present (position) - may include ritualized offerings of a collar, or may blend with other commands such as 'bring' so that the slave 'displays' the object she has retrieved in a present position once returning to the presence of the dominant.
Exit or Leave Presence - Older traditions were for a slave never to turn her back on her dominant while moving 'in presence.' The turning of her back is considered an action of disrespect.
A list of some Gorean slave positions
Because I am not a Gorean this is not a complete list of the positions they use. For a more complete list, you can go to a Gorean site. Almost any webpage from the planet Gor gives a description of Gorean slave positions. Gorean slave positions are based upon a series of 26 fictional books written under the pin name of John Norman by John Lange, Ph. D. a Philosophy professor at Columbia University, New York. His first novel was Tarnsman of Gor, published in 1967 and the last mass-published novel, Magicians of Gor, published in 1988. Witness of Gor, was published by an independent press called World of Gor in 2002. Norman fictionalized Gor as an Earthlike planet which orbits the sun at approximately the same distance as Earth and is held in orbit by alien rulers that control it and the inhabitants.
Norman describes slave positions in his books and some are listed here.
Bara – The slave lies on her belly, her forehead to the floor. She crosses her ankles and places her wrists, again crossed, in the small of her back and waits to be bound.
Belly - The slave lays on her belly with her legs spread to shoulder width apart and her arms by her sides, palms up, her forehead to the ground. She crawls to her Master's feet on her belly.
Gorean bow – The slave kneels with her thighs spread wide. She leans over backwards until her head touches the floor, and places her hands beside them. She then pulls herself up, arching her back.
Karta - The karta is said to be a position of obedience. The slave kneels on the floor, her thighs spread widely to allow her to lay her chest upon the floor, she leans forward placing her breasts and forehead against the floor, and reaches out with her arms fully.
Leasha – The slave kneels with her back to her Master with her thighs spread wide and her back stiffly arched. She crosses her wrists in the small of her back and turns her head to the left, her eyes lowered in submission, and her lips are slightly parted as she awaits a leash.
Nadu – The slave kneels with her thighs spread wide for his pleasure, her back arched elegantly, her head held high with eyes lowered submissively. She lays her hands palms upward upon her thighs.
Sula – The slave lays flat on the floor on her back and her feet spread shoulder width apart. She places her wrists above her head and crosses them. Her eyes remain lowered in submission.
Tower - A variation of the Nadu, but her knees are together, and her palms are down and resting on her thighs. It is used for a non-sexual slave.
My basic slave Positions and Commands
The following is a list of the commands I use and the corresponding slave Positions. They are not explained in great detail here, but they do give a general idea as to how they are used.
I use a smaller number of general positions and commands than some Masters and more than others. For several years now, I have modified my positions from the standard ones that are shown above to better fit my personal needs. Each is done in a style that I like, not what others think that a kneel position or a face down position should be like. I teach a slave how to respond to the commands as I wish to see them done and in a way that, over time, has proven effective for me. These Positions, along with the slave modes and Presenting requirements, allows me to have effective control of my slaves.
A list of the basic slave positions that I use:
STAND OR UP – stand with legs 4" apart – head up – eyes down – arms behind back with palms crossed.

Variation – if Your Master points to a chair or object and says "sit" – back straight – knees about 2 1/2" apart – hands on legs – palms down – head up – eyes slightly down. NOT SLUMPED!!

This is a worship position and a display of obedience. You may do this on your own if there is a desire. This position is reserved for your Master unless He orders You to show this courtesy to another Master/Mistress.

EXAMINATION – This is a command to do a detailed examination of the slave’s body. It is the most details inspection command and position that is composed of 4 positions to be done in the following order and on command: When she is issued the command "Examination" she lays on her back as detailed below. After her Master inspects her in that position he will issue the commands "Front, Cunt, and Anal" and examine the slave in each position.
1) Back - on back - legs spread wide – arms above head – palms up
2) Front – on stomach – legs spread wide – arms above head – palms down
3) Cunt – on back – knees bent – spread legs - opens her cunt with her hands for exam
4) Anal – on knees – head down – spread ass checks for exam
The Purpose of Display and Exam are to:
1) demonstrate the training
2) remind the slave of her status
3) remind the slave that her body is for her Master’s entertainment
4) allows her Master to keep an eye on her body for any flaws see how well she is maintaining her body.
PUNISHMENT – 2 positions
Punishment Position (Knees) – on knees – head down – hands by face
Punishment Position (Standing) – bend over and grab legs with hands behind calves.
GO TO YOUR CORNER - This is for punishment or discipline or merely to think and focus. Go to a designated corner – nose pressed to wall in kneel position. If for long period of time the slave can shift to the sit position but must keep her nose to the wall.
GO TO YOUR PLACE – This is for focusing, studying, or to feel ownership. It is also a place sent when not in use by her Master. This is a place of comfort and relaxation. There is no one position for this command accept that she sits on the floor and remains quite until needed by her Master.
Voice Command – go to your place (2 variations – face – face Master, back – back to Master)
Hand Command – point to the place

Slave Positions
Preface
We have been asked often to do an article about slave positions. To be honest, we hesitated for a long time to publish such an article, because there is nothing like written slave positions.
For this reason we decided to provide a description of some basic positions which are commonly used and to write a few things about the their background. Of course, the presented positions are only samples and every couple develops their own style and variations. Some of the elements of the shown positions can of course be combined and varied. The shown positions are not a "Must", but an interesting addition to a D/s play and can also be a good start for a D/s play and its atmosphere.
Basics
All positions are constructed to work against the natural body adjustment. They force the person to fully concentrate on their position and body. The intention is to increase the attention as well as the concentration. They also violate the persons instinctive self protection by exposing the body and its vulnerable regions. By this the feeling of being helpless and being at someone's mercy is emphasized.
Basic Positions
Position 1: Standing
The legs are lightly spread apart and the hands are folded behind the neck with the elbows spread wide. By this the body and especially the vulnerable chest are exposed and unprotected.
Position 2: Kneeling Upright (Attention)
The knees are lightly spread apart and the hands are folded behind the neck with the elbows spread wide.
Position 3: Kneeling (Waiting Position)
The slave kneels with spread legs, the hands rest on the thighs, palms up. This position shows the will to serve and the position of the hands with palms up also signals that their is no aggression (psychological effect)
Position 4: kneeling face down (Submission)
The arms are spread forward or folded on the back. The neck is exposed and with that the person shows complete submission.
Position 5: On All Fours (as furniture, chair, table, doggy-style)
This position has certain animalistic aspects as well as the aspect of humiliation. If you use your slave as a chair, make sure that you don't put too much pressure on his spine. Try to sit as close to his butt as possible.
Position 6: Belly
The arms are either spread in a 90 degree angle (butterfly) or spread forward at each side of the head. The legs are slightly spread and can be pulled a little towards the body in order to lift the back a little.
Position 7: Bend Down (Punishment / Inspection Position)
The backside is very much exposed and with that wonderfully positioned for a spanking or flogging. The danger of hurting the kidneys is very much reduced. Just make sure your strikes come from the side rather than from the top. This position also very useful for "inspections". But it is quite unstable, so be careful when using it for punishment.
Position 8: Backside / Presentation
The hands are positioned around the ankles and spread the legs a little. In this position the genital area is very exposed and unprotected.
ajira is the term for "slave-girl" in John Norman's Gor novels. Slaves in the Gorean lifestyle will refer to themselves as kajirae. The phrase "la kajira" is said to mean "I am a slave-girl" in the Gorean language, the most widely-spoken lingua franca in the known regions of the planet Gor (this is one of the few complete Gorean-language sentences given in the Gor novels).
The word is usually seen in the feminine form "kajira" (pl. "kajirae"), as most slaves in the Gorean lifestyle are female; the masculine forms are "kajirus" and "kajiri" (following the rules of Latin nominative adjective morphology, as seen also with words such as "alumnus"/"alumna", etc.). The construction "kajiras" is incorrect, but is occasionally seen in third-party writing.
A common misconception among people practicing the lifestyle or playing out the Gorean theme online is that kajirae never refer to themselves in the first person, using the terms "me" or "I", instead being allowed only to refer to themselves in the third person. If one is adhering to the novels this is inaccurate, as virtually all of the kajirae in the Gor novels do often refer to themselves in the first person (the phrase "la kajira" being an example), with third person speech being uncommon in the text. However, the books do support the idea that third-person speech is considered distinctively slave speech (in Captive of Gor,
chapter 15, Ute issues the command "Speak as a slave!", meaning in the third person), and that slaves may be specifically commanded to speak in such a way
slave Owner
A slave is extraordinary, rare — and most often confused until they discover their slave spirit heart. Most slaves wander through life feeling unfulfilled — as if they have a "dark hole" in their spirit — a hole that can be temporarily filled with an abundance of sex, work, addictive behavior or other whole-life-consuming factors.
Master Steve
Domination is not limited to a dungeon. The dynamics of domination and submission is all around us and I like to challenge slaves in our everyday environments. For some slaves fixed periods of time in a dungeon is limiting and unfulfilling to their needs and as a slave Owner I feel the same. Being contractually owned and exclusive to my will allows me to expand my creativity and develop slaves with unconventional methods not available in a dungeon setting. Domination can be seen as incredibly subtle but felt more rewarding and satisfying as this is realistically the closest a slave can get to their fantasy without sacrificing their existing life commitments.
The sole purpose in this slave's, or maid's, life is to liberate his Mistress from the mundane. This slave will be self-motivated and diligent, and not in need of constant supervision. Domestic training will include household chores, slave Friday activities and personal attention as needed. Your reward for good service will be play time with me.
While the desire to serve me, the Mistress, is the primary focus, there will be a heavier emphasis on the proper etiquette of the Femdom-sub relationship. In addition to the slave's domestic duties, intense training will be given in the arts of pleasing the Mistress: extensive foot worship, pedicure, correct presentation of slave in physical and verbal training, pain threshold and endurance training, self control and pro-active training. Your training will make you excel in your servitude and you will be happier for it.
I expect my submissives and slaves to be my opposite, but equal and complementary to my intelligence and ethos. I'm only interested in you wanting to complement the dynamics of a real Femdom relationship. As my slave you need to have basic primary needs that will be met through servitude and ownership. As such you will have the primary basic instincts of wanting to feel owned, of surrendering, serving and pleasing. And then you will enjoy the other aspects that BDSM has to offer. Your submission will be multi-faceted and will go beyond your basic sexuality and at times it will feel more spiritual in essence. This lifestyle will involve a balance between many dichotomous aspects; intimacy and distance; pleasure and pain; routines/rituals and unpredictability and many more.
My lifestyle is a fantasy world for many, but it's very, very real for those that live it with me. My style of domination will make you feel as if it's the most natural thing in the world. You will want to adore me and in return I will make you feel wanted. You will be intelligent and intuitive enough to be able to understand you can be a friend, companion, confidante, servant and ultimately my slave.
Being a Submissive is a state of mind, being a Slave is a state of being.

The basic instinct of submission is something that cannot be taught or trained; it will come from within you and therefore, in my opinion, is either there or not. Similarly, submission is not so much about a series of acts that are done, but rather a surrender which is what you will find most fulfilling.
If the submission is part of your nature as domination is a part of mine, then your submission is switched on with a look or a word, and will be ever-present, as opposed to some other partnerships which rely on raised voices, whips, contraptions and defined times. Within my current mindset everything comes from and resides within, and subtlety is a wonderful part of D/s for me where things do not always have to be overly explicit in nature all of the time, where there is always an underlying understanding, at home or in public. Even mundane tasks will affect you on many levels, and the strangest thing perhaps is that a lot of the time your feelings inside will not be sexualised. Slavery and ownership for me is mostly about a feeling of belonging, a permanent journey into a world that feels more right and fulfilling.
Submission is an aspect of your psyche that cannot be repressed forever, in the same sense as Dominance is for me. To be unable to express this side of yourself, in my mind, is an awful waste of a damn good slave.
My preference to live this lifestyle means I enjoy the company of slaves in my everyday environment. Slavery for me is not a bedroom game but a lifestyle choice. Submission to me includes all aspects of life; cleaning, cooking, running errands, anticipating needs, and doing what ever is required to make my life easier. To serving my breakfast, preparing my bath, cleaning my home, chauffeuring me to appointments and domestic shopping are just some of the duties my contractual slaves are tasked with. Slaves can be given roles from personal assistant, chauffeur, beautician, cook, gardener or maid. As a Lifestyle Dominant, those who enter my elite inner circle have the unique opportunity to be initially contractually collared to me for 101 days and then, if I am happy with your slavery, automatically renewed for each term for 303 days.
My lifestyle slaves are not the same as collared slaves or submissives I receive in my chambers for fixed periods of time. A lifestyle slave finds limited time in dungeon space unfulfilling to their needs. While a collared slave is my slave while he wears my collar in my company, my lifestyle slaves are in effect 'contractually owned', and exclusive to me. They are at my beck and call to do my bidding when I want it, within pre-agreed defined limits. The power exchange is constant, but can sometimes be extremely subtle and for many this style is unquestionably more rewarding and satisfying as this is invariably the closest a slave can get to the real thing without sacrificing existing life commitments.
How do you know if this path is right for you? To become one of my lifestyle slaves, the primary needs of a prospective slave are of service, pleasing, worshiping and being owned to the Mistress. To find contentedness in making the daily chores of life easier to bear for the Mistress. The slave's happiness is derived from seeing the Mistress happy, therefore it's a matter of attitude. Through this attitude a slave will cultivate self-awareness and under tutelage of me, awareness of my needs and wishes sometimes described as a sort of sixth sense to anticipate my needs.
The natural order of female domination is obtained when the minds of men are captured and then it becomes quite easy to control their body.

Before being accepted into my lifestyle a slave will need to satisfy me that they have the determination, drive and suitability for this style of training. This is an opportunity for both myself and the prospective lifestyle slave to ensure completion and continuation of the contract. It does not please me to have a slave 'drop out' of my slave training therefore a series of various types of appointments will be required before the invitation to pursue this contractual training procedure.
The slave will be made aware of the expectations and needs towards the Mistress with an opportunity to ask questions and express any concerns but primarily this time is for the slave to familiarise themselves with the working of my mind. Depending on the type of role undertaken in my service, you may be required to submit a Resumé of Service with references as well as proof of legal qualification (a driving license if chauffeuring, for example, will be expected from the slave).
Contractual Documentation
The initial contract will be for 101 days which will automatically renew itself for an additional 303 days until I, the Mistress, decide to terminate the slave's service. If the slave wishes to leave contractual service with me, the slave has the opportunity to do so on the 101st day only of each term.
The contractual documentation within my lifestyle consist of a Consensual Slavery Contract, a Negotiated Boundaries Contract, an Activity Checklist, a Slave Rules Charter and Slave Datasheet. You will also be registered on the IRS (International Registrar of Slaves) to me.

I'm often asked what actually happens with the development of the slave. While each slave is individual and I protect my privacy fiercely you will not know exactly what's in store until you are living it with me.
I expect my slaves to complete a slave journal regularly so I am always aware of what state of mind my possession is in. I consider this a serious responsibility to care for the welfare of my property and have found journals to be the most effective in providing me with this information.
While my slaves are my property, they are not doormats (not unless I want them to be to be used and abused without direction), but instead highly intelligent and good company. I therefore like to stretch my slaves with ad-hoc tasks of written training assignments for stimulating discussion and growth.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.
Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"
A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?
After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...
Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
