Samhain Ritual Of Prosperity

What you'll need:

* An altar

* 5 Black candles

* As many of the following as you can find: nuts, pine cones, apples.

* Dry, dead twigs

* A bowl of water

* 1 white candle

* 1 Apple

* Grapejuice (or wine if you can)

STEP 1: Setup a peaceful and serene environment free of distraction. Even start some soft and soothing music if you wish.

STEP 2: Make sure the room is lit only by the light of the candles.

(If you need to, feel free to setup some candles elsewhere in the room so you have enough light.) (Do not light the white candle yet...)

STEP 3: Cast your circle as normal.

STEP 4: Once you are done, sit peacefully at your altar and think about people in your life who have passed away that meant a lot to you.

Visualize your past experiences with them...allow yourself to get emotional...

Then visualize them sitting there with you now. Holding up your spirit...touching your heart.

Remember them... love them.

STEP 5: Now think about the thousands of us who are with you now...adding our energies to yours. All working together towards a common goal of happiness and prosperity for you... and for us.

(If you stare hard enough, you may see your candles grow brighter at this moment... this is a good sign.)

STEP 5: Stand up at the center of your circle, and face west.

Slowly say the following words:

"The Lord sailed slow into the
west, the Lady waits and weaves;

Time of darkness, bald branch,
bare earth, brown leaves."

STEP 6: Think about all your problems and mistakes... and all of the things you need to let go of in order to make room for something else.

Something positive... something wonderful.

STEP 7: When you are ready, say this:

"He lets go, I too let go, embrace
the coming dark;

I open palms and loosen grip
on all that must depart."

STEP 8: Open your palms and imagine all the unwanted negativity in your life dispersing like seeds upon the land.

STEP 9: Next, snuff out all the candles on your altar except for one.

STEP 10: Sit in the center of the circle and meditate. Call upon your beloved ones who have died to keep you company if they wish.

STEP 11: Now, gaze into the bowl of water. Make sure you can see the single flame dancing as a reflection.

(This is called "scrying".)

Look for images in the bowl of water as you stare into it... parts of your future may be revealed with the flame as your guide.

These should be moments of peace as you gaze into the underworld and it's secrets.

Take as much time as you like here, and allow yourself to be lost in wonder.

STEP 12: Now, light your white candle.

Stare into it's light and say:

"In shadows deep we clearer see,
the light that flames within;

In darkness whirling, stirring
round, see, new life now begin."

STEP 13: Next, use the white candle to light all of the black candles you had snuffed out.

Feel each one you light surge with increased power and heat.

STEP 14: Take your dead twigs, and one by one name them for things in your life that need to die.

(Like any bad habits you want to break, or any little flaws you feel you have...)

Affirm in your mind that each twig embodies something undesirable that must go, for the good of you and everyone around you.

Set them aside.

STEP 15: Cut the apple in half, and remove all the seeds and place them with the twigs.

STEP 16: Eat the apple in celebration, and drink the juice (or wine) in honor of the Goddess and God and the four Guardians.

STEP 17: Thank the dead that you feel were there with you.,

STEP 18: Close the circle.

STEP 19: Bury the twigs and the seeds.

The twigs will disintegrate over time, and remove the negative things in your life.

The apple seeds will grow a new prosperity and happiness for you and your loved ones.

------------------
Whew...19 steps... but it's all so simple to do, and we'll all be doing it with you!

I can't wait. I'll have my neighborhood witches over that night as well, to join us.

This is the most exciting time of the year, embrace it with me... with all of us.

And watch the miracles unfold in your life in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Are you ready?

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
