~Full Moon Prayer~

Lady Moon, as you cast your light
On this blessed full moon night
I soak in the magic and the glow
That only you can kindly bestow
I thank you for both energy and power
That you release to me this hour
Because of you, I charge and heal
And thank you for how cleansed I feel
Blessed be
Desirae:)0(

Invocation to the Moon
by Patricia Telesco

I come into your garden fair,
To Waltz upon the dew.
To look upon your handiwork,
While morning still is new.

I come into your meadow fair,
To laugh upon the lawn,
To stare upon a red-blue sky,
Working magic come the dawn.

I come into your forest fair,
To sing among the trees,
To sway carefree amidst the leaves
Come full the noon-day breeze.

I come into your greenwood fair,
To watch the sunlight play,
As it dances towards the dusk,
And sparkles like the fey.

I come into your grove so fair,
The cloak of night comes round,
To gather stars within its sweep
And shine upon the ground.

I come upon your world so fair,
And think on what I’ve seen
Then fall to sleep with Gods of old,
And dream on moon-beam wings

Full Moon Invocation

Mother, Goddess of moon and star,
Bring Your presence from afar,
Manifest on this, Your night,
And bless me in this sacred rite!
Grant the knowledge and clarity
To understand Your words to me,
Lend Your power, send Your light,
Aid me in my work tonight!
With love and wisdom please embrace,
All within this sacred space,
Mother, I now call to You,
Bring Your message clear and true!

February 13 to 15 many devotees, free Souls of the Ancient Way (Stregheria, Traditional Witchcraft) honor an ancient Italic Deity called Faun-Lupercus .

In the book we approximate to write about the Ancient Way also report an inherent part of this God, the Eternal Spirit theriomorphic. The old wolf, Lord keeper of flocks, Father purifier companies, Spirit of the forest where the oracle (Faunus headlights from the verb: to speak) occurs in the whisper of the leaves of the woods. The popular tradition regarded him as a good and auspicious God (from the verb favere: protect) is explained here as also the protection of fields and livestock in the aspect of Lupercus. Also remember that the Faun turns into a snake while in wolf Lupercus.

According Brelich is an ancient pre-Roman Italic Divinity: "everything that constitutes the substance of party-clutter ritual purification can be achieved without any necessary reference to a particular deity, the Lupercalia, as well as several other parties, may have roots oldest Roman polytheism of the same".

"Ancient Eternal Spirit, Wolf and Snake purify and protect all the devotees of the Ancient Way. Praise to you, Lord rural, half man and half animal".

Tribal Whispers

Grandmother Moon is rising to her full potential with brightness and light for everyone to see and enjoy. She allows us to see shadows at night and enjoy the night animals that are normally hidden in the dark. This is one of the perks of connecting with this Grandmother

Spirit Whisperings

Did you know that the Full Moon is a powerful time to clear and cleanse your stones and crystals? This Friday the 14th is our next Full Moon. What I like to do is put my whole "altar" out under the moon all night and into the morning so my stones get charged by both the full moon and the sun. There's not one right way to do this. You can find your own way, your own special "ritual" for doing this. You can include water, incense, salt, and you don't have to put them outside if it's not safe. A window would be great too! So find the way that fits you and your crystals best then clear and cleanse away!

February's full Moon is traditionally called the Full Snow Moon because usually the heaviest snows fall in February.

Hunting becomes very difficult, and so some Native American tribes called this the Hunger Moon.

Other Native American tribes called this Moon the "Shoulder to Shoulder Around the Fire Moon" (Wishram Native Americans), the "No Snow in the Trails Moon" (Zuni Native Americans), and the "Bone Moon" (Cherokee Native Americans). The Bone Moon meant that there was so little food that people gnawed on bones and ate bone marrow soup.

BOOK OF SHADOWS BLESSING

Preparation: At the time of the Full Moon, take your Book of Shadows (one that
hasn't been written in yet) and some incense (pennyroyal, anise or rue) outside.
Ritual: Under the light of the Full Moon, draw a pentagram on the first page and under this
write the following information: date, time, place, your magical name (and sigil if you have one),
the moon's phase and any other info you feel is important. Hold the book up to the Moon and say:
"Here as the Full Moon shines upon me,
Bless this Book I've made tonight.
I humbly ask this of thee,
Underneath your most sacred light."

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
