Save the Santa Maria / Great Lakes Pirate Gathering

The Santa Maria ship needs your help. The mayor of Columbus wants to see the community support for the ship. He has asked us to raise the money to do a complete restoration. By doing so and with his blessing he will help find the millions needed to build us a new docking system and visitor center. He doesn't want to commit those dollars without guarantee that the ship will be around for another 50 years.   The Crewe of the Redemption and Corsairs of the Crimson Coast will be Hosting a new event called: Great Lakes Pirate Gathering: May 16th,17th and 18th 2014. This  will be held when the Santa Maria Pirate fest was going to take place.
Since there is none this coming year I was fitting it into that time slot.
We the Crewe of the Redemption and the Corsaires of the Crimson Coast have agreed that this event shall be for the benefit of the worthy cause of the Santa Maria, and all proceeds will be donated to this cause.Save the Santa Maria

Weapon booths must display directions to a first aid station and have a first aid kit available.  This is a summary of the weapons selling style preferred by the Renaissance Faire Staff:

               1. That vendors will not sell a weapon to anyone under 18 years of age. The merchant is responsible to enforce this policy. This includes, but is not limited to: patrons. volunteers and other merchants.

    2.  That Vendors will not sell a major weapon to anyone under the age of 21,  a major weapon being an item with a blade longerger than 21” in size, a hafted {24”+ haft} weapon or a projectile style weapon.

    3.  The only exception to these rules is if one has a Teacher, Instructor, or Master of Arts that comes to us and states the person needs the weapon as part of their training. Then the weapon will be purchased by the teacher for their student.

    4.  The vendor will always have the right to refuse to sell any weapon to anyone they don’t feel right about.

    5.  Weapons are to be peace-tied at the time of sale. The Renaissance Faire staff will provide the correct ties to use the first day then it is up to the vender to so.

AND POST in their tent for all to read:

Thus preventing any trouble from happening through any sales. Though that is not to say that any are ever responsible for one’s actions after they have purchased any item from any artist/crafter. For what ever what they do with it none cannot control nor govern. Once it leaves their control. For it is not the item’s fault nor theirs, only the person’s and/or persons’ that is using it.  Legal status of products: It is the responsibility of the buyer, NOT THE SELLER, to ascertain, and obey, all applicable local, state, federal and international laws in regard to the possession and use of any item on this site.
