Drago's Adventures at the Vet Home

 

Day one arrived about 1030 in morning and started in here. After answering several pages of questions.  I found that the pee testing was also a requirement. Thus the body and their time did not agree. So I was put in a waiting area. That turned out to be the common seating area and where now the chairs have been removed and the sleeping cots set.

Meals I have found are 730, 1200, 17oo you stand in line and sign a roster.  Pick and choose food then sit eat throw away plate and return to what you were doing. For me it was sitting in the common area most of the day.

Showers are mandatory for cot allowance it seems.  Simple folding metal cots with a grey plastic covered 3-inch mattress.  In addition, a sheet and blanket are given out as the settings for them are done.  My pillow is my highway coat and liner stuffed in my hooded pullover.

Perhaps on the morrow I will be told more of how things are to progress. If one leaves they must sign out. Then back in when returns. Must be back by 2300, will find out if that is when things close down then.

I also have been told that when the medical clears you and a bed is available up stairs you are moved from common room to a 6 or 8 person room.

Showers to use right now are on the 2nd floor. Know nothing of the third at this time. You are given a simple shower kit. Moreover, right now no big towels are viable so got two what I would call dishtowels and two hand cloths to assist and dry with.  Currently they hang off the edge of the cot to dry overnight.

This eve in the common, area is a big TV it is ran with a vote with what is watched.  So far this eve true grit and a dvd movie that stuck in mid play so now we have the basketball game weeeeeeeeeeee.

Everything here is sign in sign that and if one messes up he sheet we have to refill out and resign allover that just happened with the cot list. Is first in line get the metal cot and mattress.  When those dozen are gone then mattress on floor is what is left.

I have reshuffled the bag contents. Now all the clothing and black bag of stuff is in the new brown bag that found this winter on a trip to the market in Dec it still had the red holiday bow on it when I found it.  New still folded up and ready to be given.  The back pack has the rest of things. Like meds laptop camera and other things that are small and easy carried. Been told where to store the clothing bag in a hallway with the other ‘common roomers’.  If important then keep with you hence why the shuffle to ensure if something goes it is clothing and not the other things.

So far some seem friendly. I have already been tagged with it is the Viking by the director here.  In addition, by one of the staff Hercules when I helped move the benches out of the common area so cots could go in.  Because I picked up the metal one in the center by self and moved them.

The outlets are limited, also in demand. Many here have some sort of cell phone that needs charged.  I was quick enough to get near one so could pug the laptop in to type this eve. Moreover, seemed to upset someone else that had sighted and planned to be where I currently am.  Nevertheless, was doing other things when the chair to cot common area shuffle started.

There are two resident dogs here an older white muzzled black lab, which has been dubbed ‘Sarge’.  The other is a cinnamon Shepard dubbed ‘Major”.  Very friendly and tolerates many things I see throughout the day.

I figure that after the 1700 meal I will sign up for shower and get it out of the way. Will at that time change into the track paints I have brought to sleep within.

A 1930 bible class in the mess hall was also called for those whom wanted.  Not mandatory that is good.

Oh desert has been called must go see.  To put that into perspective.  It is now 2157 and a lemon crumb like square just was consumed.  Lunch was two hot dogs with a bean mix and French fries.  Eve meal was meatloaf, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes with gravy.  Hell this is more than I have been eating per day at where I just came from for several months.  I did have one last pkg of the Italian sausage I have grown to enjoy before I left this morning as well.

All the items that were walked away from were stacked in a neat and orderly way in the room I was within. I do not know what or how he is to react nor do with them. After two weeks I have had no place to be. This place was the last resort for me to be at.

 

It did bother me that within he questions the drinking was repetitively brought up and hashed about.  How long did I, how long have I not, And other questions of it.

AN Hour left till pill time and their sign in dead line. Then I will find of what happens then.  I will see if I can do this each eve, the next step is finding a hot spot or open wireless system to get things going in that area as well.

Well grey cloudy and some water falls. This week is kitchen duties for our room. But Monday have dentist in afternoon, so eve meal willbe not there, Tuesday medical in morning so first will not and second may not. Wed is day things are gotten to go back to internet morning will be there but after that I do not know. The rest of the week at this time is kitchen right now but anyone can make an appointment and change that.

 

Waiting on the finding of Finn for things but right now have no clue what is happening for contacting him has failed for 24 hours. So will through out the day attempt to do so as well.

 

Head pounds, knee aches, leg and hip hurt. But getting things done at least upon here is a good thing to keep mind going I think.

 

Isabell did get box but I do not know what she will do with things within it. Waiting to figure it out. Within the hollow is growing and many times days as this one just what to have a corner to remain within and not come out of.

Well this midday became interesting. For the room last week barely arrived for their kitchen duties. We have been told that we will not do it this week but next week. Also those of last week are to redo this week. Which stopped me form dishes of the mid day meal part way through.

 

Got to the Dentist, well actually the step in one for the regular is on clinic rotational this week. So the tooth was re opened and the root canals cleaned and filled. Back upon Fri 0930 for the post pre crown sizing and mold taking hopefully. Still have the one next week as well. Crown will sit have to be sent out takes about a week or so then on it goes. Hope bridge is in for next week. Slowly it is coming all as should and hopefully be and want.

 

Still have Doctor 0830 in morrow. Then the retrieval of things to be placed where they can be put back upon the internet and for sale on the Hearth. Dus would be good for the Holiday stupid season.

 

Jaw/tooth area sore again but want this done, over, finished.  But for a front tooth, fillings re done and a crown I am doing as I can. Will get a full accounting when done and see what all they done and finished cost. Should be interesting.

Just out of the hospital visit. New Doctor I can understated and seems to be good with me so far. But did put me on another pill to take for morning and eve with food. Had blood drawn for testing. An x-ray of me right hand for the finger that catches. Termed 'trigger finger' as well as sent to a place to see what they could do help. But their next appointment is not till 19th Dec so I think it will have to be dealt with later vice now.

 

Dropped off copies of paperwork to social worker as well. She wants me to call the place downtown and see if they can see me sooner. When done there was roped into the chilli dog social. So two dogs later, bag of chips and soda without ice I escaped.

 

So back at starfucks once agin to do site work and things. Perhaps add upon this later as well. So off to call that place as told to do.

Considering that you have stated to me that you /want/ people to reply to your log entries, I am. Glad to know that you finally have a doctor with whom you can connect. Such people are very hard to find.  Good luck with getting everything wrapped up and finished.

Wow this is impressive the Vet Doc just called me. Telling me that the test results were back form the blood. Things look good and just keep taking and doing as have. Also x-ray was back and the bones in finger look good, But the ligament is screwed that means surgery.

So now things are at that standing.

Well this wet day was one that worked out. Things have gone to where will be placed upon the internet once again. This is a step int he good direction. Weather worked for us to do so. Let up as we got there and waited mostly till tarped and ready to go then it let loose once again. Wet 50 degree weather is not my favorite but it went well. So now it is by the America's first Welfare line time period to get all back up and going once again. Will see if can do so with help from those who now house it. And if sold will ship it off once again is available easy and convenient.

Shoes are wet through so know they are not weather good for common usage. That sucks. But found the missing sock int he back of Finn's truck that was good. Hope he got sleep and homework done he was up all night and still helped. That was nice and good of him to do so.

Still on track for Fri dentist. Need to recall that metal detector building again on the morrow for answers. Waiting for the other two people to answer things or next week will stir them as well, Director and A Johnson.

Have long coat and sweatshirt with hood so wet will stay off. The short reaper as called. Derrick says I look like I am about to kill things. Dark glasses and hood extending over face. But I am dry and warm. Got wool cotton socks so feet wet but warm at least as well.

Well this day the metal detector building called me. I found out that they will not change my appointment. As well I had screwed up their e-mail. But fixed that as well And even FAXed signed papers to them in a fast walk back to the centre.

 

So will have to figure out something. But they got all their paperwork and forms and things I had to send them. And will wait for their reply to that data and the fact that I was told to call to advance the appointment. May be checking on that as well.

 

So got the events for 2012 98% done and waiting on dates and things for the rest of them to be updated. Cleaned out the old ones not needed or doubled up upon as well.

Well walked down to the dentist because they adjusted the time of the 0845 run to 0915. Reamed out the root canals to the size and depth they needed to be. Next is the filling and shaping if all goes correct. Three roots three appointments to deal with them so far. so at 0930 upon the 26th next Wodensday back I go. with the Friday appointment as well still at 0930 as well. Gray day 49F. Time to break out the hat and what jackets I have here with me.

 

Asked of the post and crown. Does not think I will need post any longer but will know more next week. Seven to ten days after prepped and mold taken it will be ready to apply. So it depends upon this next week what is done and time allowed. Hopefully the bridge will be made and ready to mount Friday.  Got two different students now working to get me clear and done. So will see what can be as happens. They both know of the want and need to be done with this before to much longer. My jaw and mind have just about had enough as well.

 

Back pack getting worse with the rip sewed it but the material just is failing. and zipper is not helping. Second one went through here. Really need to find a true day hiking pack. Not a 'book bag' made type they just do not hold up. Or at least the ones I have tested have not.

 

The new pill at night is helping with pain and not waking up with stiff fingers not wanting to move. Also being an inflammatory I think it is helping the mussels and things over night for a more rest full laying down. Not that sleep would be good as well. But the lights, rough and loud conversations {nice put}, and the in and out of the room doors just does not equal restfully sleeping.

 

Told Sunday is an outing and no eve meal being served. Moose Lodge doing something for the Vets. Well it is more to do and perhaps a pair of boots? These shoes are bruising feet. They are not nice to me. But is all I have and will do and deal with them. Did find a couple more pairs of jeans int he clothing room. As well as a couple of long sleeved shirts. That was after figuring out the 'XXL' ones were not adult sized as they almost got made into two when I attempted to put them on. A 54 inch chest and 18 inch arms do not make a shirt happy, even the 22 inch neck makes things of clothing more interesting then many know. And no foot ware even close to being useful.

Well this morning was a cluster foolish. Thought would get rest in before the 0900 meal. But instead the screeching of get room tight and there is a happening to day was going off. After the meal as we tried to figure out the time frame of happening. Smith came and rousted rooms pounding on doors and inquiring if rooms were tight and correct. Using the Directors name to entice the doing for what she demanded. So much for a easy morning.

 

After a small speech, introductions and prayer. But a couple of long sleeved shirts, and a whole bunch of toiletry later. The thing was done. Seems it is 'Make a difference Day". Which had all out today giving to the homeless it seems. So why does they have to have a special day to do things. Words of the up and coming special Holiday meals was told as well.

 

So morning was different. Also on the morrow a bussed outing. Weeeeeeeeeeee

Well yesterday was not one of my best. Weather changing and head pounding had me hiding in the room wanting a cool dark QUIET PLACE TO BE. But cool and semi dark with a cloth over eyes. The other not happening. Then the bussed event was a meal and toiletry bag of items. Also loud live music. went longer than I thought would. So did not get back till 2000 then. Tried to call those whom I was to talk to and failed at reaching them perhaps tonight?

 

Well kitchen duty this week and two appointments should be intresting.

Well called MRS this morning and is a weeee bit bent. With what was told. To the point I asked Mr Williamson for advice he told me to type out a letter and sent it to him to express my self. Well what I typed up and sent to Mr Williamson to read edit or perhaps lessen.
