Eye of Horace Eye of Ra Hair Tie

This brass hair tie is made with a brass ring soldered to the back so that the band can be easily replaced once it breaks. It is a little shy of 2" in length and 1 3/8" in height. It is hand domed in a round swage block to give it a nice strong curved shape that looks good and sets well on the hair. The design is etched in with slow etching acids. All of my etched pieces take 6-8 hours of work no matter how big or small. The resist is applied by hand as well as being hand cut with a jewelers saw and hand filed, sanded and polished.
