A few of my new acid etched cloak clasps! Hand made medium sized Brass clasps, bottom set is about 1 1/2 per piece in diameter. singles are $20 retail and doubles are $40 retail. I also have wholesale pricing for dealers!!!

Arr matey there be pirates in them there cloaks. Show the world your inner pirate with this skull and crossed bones pirate cloak clasp. Unlike the 2 plated Eyes of Ra set this is a single plate and comes with a detached hook that is sewn directly to the cloak.
These can also be formed and a pin made for just a little extra. With the pin they can be used as hair pieces, cloak clasps or even kilt pins. If you want it to be different just ask. $25.00

To the ancient Vikings and Celts the Boar was a symbol of strength and power. In a time when might made right these ancient warriors would call upon the spirit of the boar to give them the upper hand against their enemies.
This handmade metal cloak clasp is etched from solid brass and has two thick rings soldered to each end. One ring is sewn to the cloak while the other is used for the hook clasp that comes with it.
From ring to ring this piece is 2 3/4" an height is 1 1/2". $35.00

US $25.00 Original Price   This Handmade metal triskele cloak clasp is etched in brass and has two beefy rings soldered to the back. It and the hook clasp are sewn directly to the cloak.
It measures about 2" from ring to ring!

What self respecting deity has one eye? Oops, sorry Odin! This was the first of my finished cloak clasps. It portrays the eye's of Ra, the Ancient Egyptian Sun God. It is made of solid brass and brass links are soldered on with silver jewelers solder. They are rugged and do come with a brass hook for clasping. just sew the outer rings to your favorite cloak or cape. Overall length is 6". height is 1 1/2".
These pieces can also be formed and a brass spike made for them to be worn in the hair or as a pin!

Eye of Ra Cloak Clasp

This piece just exudes the power of Ra! The ancient Egyptian Sun God, Ruler of all the Egyptian Gods. This piece is etched of solid brass with two thick brass rings soldered to each end. The etching process caused the background texture that gives the sense of raw energy. This piece comes with a hand made hook clasp which is also sewn to the cloak for closure!

Celtic Hounds Cloak Clasp This is a 2 plate Celtic 3 hounds cloak clasp. It is acid etched and comes with a hook attached. These are etched brass.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
