The booth  to your right  as you face from your tent will be the ______________ and on the Left is ______________. Across From you will be  from right to left _______________, ______________, and ______________. When arriving upon site please first find the Merchant Director and they will take you to your booth area.

The Merchant Director for our Fair is ___________ and they will be able to answer any questions. Any questions and/or needs can be directed to them to answer. The Faire’s direct web address is www.______________.____ and phone number for emergency items to be dealt with would be _______________ between _______ till ________ at their house, and on site as well is their mobile ___________. The following pages are other information which we think will come in handy. And also an advertisings quote sheet if you would like to advertise with us.

Also you will find local listing for stores, craft supplies, leather, the address where items can be sent USPS or UPS, directions, a few flyers for the faire, weather patterns for the area during the time of the faire, and other items which could be useful. If there is any specific items or places you need while you are at site please let us know and we will try to find them and have easy maps to and from for you when you arrive.

So far we have _______ artist/crafters and/or their representatives signed in and _______ Grandfathered in importers. We are still looking for what ever we can find. If you know of anyone please let them know and also please forward their contact points to us as well. Also would you like to pass out flyers for us? If so let us know and how many. We also offer comp tickets for a one day pass for promoters of other events, could you use any? If so let us know and how many.

What day would you arrive on? Will you need and help or have it well in hand? Will your personnel arrive with you or with separate vehicles?

If there is anything else please let us know just as soon as you think of it. Remember unless it is an emergency we would prefer a written response or questions to ensure a record of it and a log of what was done for it. This way we avoid the we said they said headache of figuring out what has happened after it is to late to do something about it.

Thank you and hopefully you enjoy our Faire and may it bring you what you desire.

To those who are currently here at the Faire:

You are now receiving the application and policies for our 200__ season.  There are several changes and additions to the pervious application packets you have received in the past.  This includes the items which were considered to be common knowledge and common sense.  The new look is a start to a new and more knowledgeable package for those who wish to join us in years to come.  It is a four-part package.  The first section tells what a fair is and what we are trying to recreate.  The second section is policies and requirements of the faire explained and stated.  The third section is an application and fee listing to be filled out and returned along with the fourth section.  The waiver must be filled out by all that participate in your booth at the faire.

This package is being handed out to be read and looked over.  Keep in mind by next year we are planning to remap the site and correctly lay out the booth spaces before anyone can set up.  We are subdividing the vendors in these categories to ensure a good cross selection and so that we don’t overbook one type and over book the faire with another.

Street of Steel

Clothing District

Trinkets and Beads {jewelry}

Maille

Castle decorations/Encampment items

Armor Division

Leather

Demo {what ya, doing?}

Multi-talents and Representation

Grandfathers of Importing and Mass Production {limited venue}

The 200__________________ Renaissance Faire season will be held the weekends of _________________________________________________, This year will bring a themes perhaps of “The Privateers Of the Mediterranean”, Trade along the Silk Road, and Myth and Lore. Please fill out the application portion of this packet and send it back quickly. Each booth will be given either Artist/crafter, demonstration  or representative status and booth number.  There will be only a limited number for each of the categories that will be allowed in the fair.  THAT number will be determined by the average gate attendance from the last years.  Comments, suggestions, complaints or other needs are to be in writing for a record and physical reminder to those involved.  Please realize that we have many items to deal with before, during and after fair weekends and for the most part it is better to write it all down so that we can sit and read when our full attention can be given to the items you want us to know about.  All statements will be addressed and further information may be requested.

Please help us grow into a better future by creating a Faire of quality and a place where all will enjoy returning, year after year.

Thank you for your support, hope to see you next year!

 Weapon booths must display directions to a first aid station and have a first aid kit available.  This is a summary of the weapons selling style preferred by the Renaissance Faire Staff:

           1. That vendors will not sell a weapon to anyone under 18 years of age. The merchant is responsible to enforce this policy. This includes, but is not limited to: patrons. volunteers and other merchants.

2.  That Vendors will not sell a major weapon to anyone under the age of 21,  a major weapon being an item with a blade longerger than 21” in size, a hafted {24”+ haft} weapon or a projectile style weapon.

3.  The only exception to these rules is if one has a Teacher, Instructor, or Master of Arts that comes to us and states the person needs the weapon as part of their training. Then the weapon will be purchased by the teacher for their student.

4.  The vendor will always have the right to refuse to sell any weapon to anyone they don’t feel right about.

5.  Weapons are to be peace-tied at the time of sale. The Renaissance Faire staff will provide the correct ties to use the first day then it is up to the vender to so.

AND POST in their tent for all to read:

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries had its humble beginnings as an idea of a few artisans and craftsmen who enjoy performing with live steel fighting. As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries.

Vendertainers that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can.

As well as being a place where the older hand made items could be found made by them and enjoyed by all.

We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. Some of their works have been premiered in TV, stage and movies on a regular basis.

Specializing in Medieval, Goth , Stage Film, BDFSM and Practitioner.

Patchwork Merchant Mercenaries a Dept of, Ask For IT was started by artists and former military veterans, and sword fighters, representing over 100 artisans, one who made his living traveling from fair to festival vending medieval wares. The majority of his customers are re-enactors, SCAdians and the like, looking to build their kit with period clothing, feast gear, adornments, etc.

Likewise, it is typical for these history-lovers to peruse the tent (aka mobile store front) and, upon finding something that pleases the eye, ask "Is this period?"

A deceitful query!! This is not a yes or no question. One must have a damn good understanding of European history (at least) from the fall of Rome to the mid-1600's to properly answer. Taking into account, also, the culture in which the querent is dressed is vitally important. You see, though it may be well within medieval period, it would be strange to see a Viking wearing a Caftan...or is it?

After a festival's time of answering weighty questions such as these, I'd sleep like a log! Only a mad man could possibly remember the place and time for each piece of kitchen ware, weaponry, cloth, and chain within a span of 1,000 years!! Surely there must be an easier way, a place where he could post all this knowledge...

Traveling Within The World is meant to be such a place. A place for all of these artists to keep in touch and directly interact with their fellow geeks and re-enactment hobbyists, their clientele.
